- We're once again harnessing the power of Luigi for this remake of an old 2014 GaMetal arrangement: The Ultimate Show from Super Paper Mario!
My old version of The Ultimate Show is among the top GaMetal songs in terms of views, but it was still the #2 most requested remake from the 2019 GaMetal May Madness request form.
I've always felt it could really benefit from a sound update, and I think this version sounds a lot cleaner.

almost 5 years later the decision to repeat the "chorus" (the part containing dimentios leitmotif from its showtime) twice is still one of the greatest creative choices of All Time. thank god this cover appreciates how well crafted that motif is by giving it its time in the spotlight, as it should!

We JUST got the D3 Medley last year, plus that's the normal Super Star sprite; Masked would have SSU or a silhouette to accurately reflect it. Especially given how he whacks the floor to send Jonny flying, I'm quite confident that this is actually a remaster of Gourmet Race.

Oh I didn't think about that. Gourmet Race definitely seems possible, but the MDDD theme returned in two different medleys rather than a standalone, so I was thinking we'd be getting a remaster of the original. Now I have two ideas of what to expect tomorrow, although looking now, GR seems more likely. Now I'm just hoping Deoxys is coming on Friday

The original The Ultimate Show remix was the first one I was legitimately hyped for back in 2014(I had discovered your channel a bit sooner but this was when I really started following your content), and it’s actually surreal to see a remake of it now, and notice all the little touches and changes you made especially near the end after having heard the original a thousand times!

God, d'ya know how excited I was when I saw that silhouette at the end of the last video? Nearly as excited when I saw your original cover pop up in my feed back in 2014 (God, it's been that long? How the time flies...), and I was CRAZY excited when that happened. I think I mentioned it last time, but The Ultimate Show is one of my all time favorite final boss tracks--getting not only a GaMetal cover, but eventually an UPDATED cover for it? It's a true blessing. I think I like this version even better than your original cover!! Thank you so much for the update.
