    Thanks for your tutorial. I have used this method in the past and it works. You can tell that your detractors don't know shit from a good grade of clay. They just want to act like they know something. Keep up the good work.

    If you don't mind my advice! I would put sander on grinder function and sand every thing close to flat.Then i would sand the dings out and fill the dings. Sand every thing flat and then i would put a thin layer of bog on the whole area and sand every thing flat! Then i would use a guide coat and sand every thing flat with 600grit. I will then proceed to spray. If i'm using acrylic paint. I would only use gp thinners. A good quality thinner would shrink the repair making the repair wavy! I asume you a using acrylic as i don't see an oven!

      Acrylic paint is an easier method to paint a car? I don't have a professional shop and I just want to fix a bad area on my car. The body is intact but it has many bump hits like hail damage but compacted..

    • @RustyRodShop
      @RustyRodShop Před 2 lety +2

      that would take more filler that means more $, you get the same results doing it his way and save time and money and less chance of filler bubbling through the paint years down the road

    Lets say I have body damage made kind of like small hammer hits almost like hail but a lot more in a small area.. is it fine to do this procedure? Is it okay to cover a large area with that body filler? Or is that bad. Any advice would be appreciated.

      I’m sure you figure it by now since I just seen your message 🤦😂 but generally you need try to pop or pull bigger dents out better appply any filler ;)

    • @mikewlodarski
      @mikewlodarski  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you may need soft block for that , and get the guide coat (3m makes it as well as Mirka) the guide trust me it will make a big difference;)

      I would love to do that but i have sold the car .. im going to work on another hail damage hood .. very soon i will show it. other cars hood i own for 2 years and no change...

  • @peterrivney552
    @peterrivney552 Před 3 lety +1

    Myself if it's a top end car I would hammer and dolly I'm not into filling a car with bondo but then I'm not working for no production shop where they are rushing to make fast money... Myself I'm in more I to restoring and taking the time to do it properly... Becouse 2 years down the road that bondo will sink and show where your repairs are..
    But if your selling the car or just cleaning it up a little to last a couple years then fill it with bondo...
    And I sand my bondo with 240 / 280 for primer .

      If finished properly with 320grit forever... meaning scratches wont come out and it will look good as new .. as long as you use good products mostly matters on clear and primer

    2. Why not bang the dents out from the underside using a flat tool
