- Want to set up Universe Mode to actually make it FUN?! Well here's the video for you! After many many hours testing and many many save files, I think I've figured out how to make this mode work for you and give it some longevity. Feel free to leave comments or questions below. Damn man I miss wwe svr2011 wwe12, 13 and 2k14 those were absolute bangers with their univer modes, It was so smart in terms of how it did things , it was like you had the idea book it and the game takes your idea and runs with it while adding or adjusting how it goes, I remember 2011 I changed a wrestler who was supposed to be in a no.1 contender match for a championship and when I switch the guy, he came out and attacked the guy I replaced him with which was so awesome and shocking at the time
SVR 2011 was dumb cause you could only defend titles in universe mode

Nothing more fun then spending 2 hours adjusting every single superstars rivalries, ally’s, managers, exc.
Bro I swear ,every game every year gotta spend least one whole day , updating and adjusting shit …. Then like me , I be downloaded the old ppv arenas . Recereating the old matches , so then you gotta create a show for that… then find the alt attires/versions for the wrestlers your using….. any old belts , managers , etc 🫠

Well, adjusting things your way is actually a part of the fun for some like myself.
I downloaded the game on Thursday. I have not wrestled a single match because I have to download arenas, belts, costumes, and wrestlers. Not to mention tag teams, who goes where, rivalries, and if I want to create a wrestler. It takes a LONG time to set up Universe mode.

What this mode needs and I've stated this since the beginning of time, is, a Number #1 Contender match type. Thay way you can have whatever match type you want and thr game will award thr winner and that contender. Than your PPVs with a match for a title. This sort of creates somewhat of a story between characters. The game could run auto interferences, all kinds of things spawning from that match type.
I still have that match type in my universe mode, i just keep track manually who is the #1 contender and set up all my match cards myself, i find it more fun this way myself. would be cool to have this feature in the game tho

On WWE, they would sometimes come out, or it would announced during matches, that this particular match is a number one contender match for the title this Sunday st MiB. Or whatever. So in your game., you March setting where it says start, where you click if you want it to be a title match or a MiB brief case match, you could also pick number one contender. Than ypu decide for which title it is for. No what I Mean ;)

Y'all remember 2K12 when you could book shows to actually be fun and not just wrestling? Like you could have undertaker appear with the lights out. And allies/enemies mattered. Like Shawn Michaels and triple h would team up in a triple threat match. We should go back to that shit
WWE 12 was good, the fun ended once that 2k got slapped on. WWE 14 was the last really good game.

@Baricreeper360 I got a bunch of the old ones. I bought wwe 12 a couple months ago for 360 at a convention. Now I pretty much have them all.

You could also put some of the lower card wrestlers on NXT to thin out Raw and Smackdown and boost NXTs roster.

I usually like to create my own Promotions and mix around the superstars of the biggest promotions, like WWE, AEW, TNA, NJPW, TJPW and Stardom. Then create interesting, type of Forbidden door booking, between the superstars of the different promotions. Like Drew McIntyre vs Will Oespray, or Giulia vs Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns vs main eventers of other promotions, etc....
How I worked the auto-booking, was mainly fixing the divisions, how I wanted, who's main-eventers and midcarders, then tweak the show, how many matches and type of matches. And the booking is tied with the divisions ranking, similar to MMA promotions like UFC and One. I mainly use Sim AI vs AI, then watch the show and PPV, as I watch the real deal. I mainly use my weekly shows as a build up/momentum for the PPV. Similar how they do in NJPW and Stardom, they use the house/smaller shows to build up to big monthly PPV. Basically, I create the rivalries around the booking for the PPV and then play the weekly shows around those rivalries. If those superstars are in factions, makes it easier to auto-book filler weekly show matches until the PPV. 3:56 those sometimes occur to me, aswell. In those cases, I simply edit the match, turn in, a backstage brawl, tag match or change their opponent, if Gunther is facing Big E in the PPV, make Gunther fight Xavier Woods or Kofi, instead of Big E or make Big E face other Imperium guy, etc...

they could turn classic mode in universe into a text based season mode similar to sd sym and hctp and even sd2 kyr and svr 06 if they work more on it and add more cutscenes to the mode.
That is what I thought Superstar Universe mode was going to be. Would have to keep track of less stuff.
This is all I want. I want to just pick someone and play through stories and such. I miss that shit.

one thing about universe mode is if you want to see your character at all on the card listing then put him or her in the top 10 power ranking or ranking
if you do this and then pick superstar mode you'll get better matches then getting random BS if your character is beyond 30 on the ranking system
then the game will see it as ok your on the bottom just put you in some random match same as vince would see it, i treat 23 as a continuation of 22
making my female character again the way she was, slightly different face, and then put her back on top 5 ranking where she left off last season
doing that is where i found that you'll have a better time with universe mode having better rivalries if the game thinks your top 10 - 5 in ranking
I always have the habit of blending a bit of reality to it, like we see on tv. I usually have a hard time booking Roman after he loses the titles though.
I recreated raw from 2004. I did the match between Shawn Michaels and benoit at middle of the show with triple h interfering at the end. This 2k23 universe mode is so stupid that they didn't include run in set up. I had to make triple h the manager of benoit just so I can attack michaels and make it look like the real thing. I was ejected by the referee 😂 Missing the universe from svr 2011 to wwe 2k14 , at least it had a smarter universe mode than what 2k had created😂.
Put it simply it needs to go back to the original days of when the mode was first introduced. Back then you didn’t have to manually put different people in different divisions, it was random. Tag teams would form and break up random, heel/ face turns were random. Hell it even had a built-in draft.
I miss the built in draft so much. It made everything random and fun. WWE 2k14 did it best imo

Super late comment but just trying this game out now and did the superstar mode with my caw. Before I started I intentionally placed my caw last in the rankings for the heavyweight title on Raw i believe i was in #15th place or something like that, while in sandbox mode. Then i switched back to superstar and booted it up. My first match was set to be against Roman Reigns lol. I couldnt believe it, so I’m hoping your video helps make this experience better.
My formula is simple, set your superstars, teams and belts up how you want. I turn off auto rivalries. Book my own. And i ONLY play the game when it's on TV (I'm in Aus so Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sundays if there's a ppv. And i get so much longevity. I do a draft after summerslam and wrestlemania backlash (I treat summerslam and backlash as my resets for new stories)
What my tag team breakups/formations does is create new womens tag teams that make no sense I got Becky and Carmella Rhea and Carmella

I utilize all these types of videos. I have a universe slot using Bobs from Beach Bytes ideas mixed with my own and it’s fantastic. I also removed rivalries all together myself for the same reason. I’m definitely gonna implement some of your ideas like removing that ple between rumble and mania, in there as well and it should make it even better 😉can’t wait till I play tonight.👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥thanks for this.
A few things I did with mine is have house shows every single day from Monday through Friday consisting of Monday best of main roster, Tuesday NXT, Wednesday wwf legends, Thursday WCW, and Friday Ruthless aggression. A ple every Sunday for each show (except legends). Plus I have every single match type in every single show’s match table, evenly percented so that every single show has random different matches every single time. I have rivalries off and don’t use it at all. It’s like an ultimate sandbox universe mode. Everyone should try it and please share your ideas as well so we all can get the most out of it.👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥

I have a custom show with 48 superstars and my CAW gets booked every week because I gave him a title and only 4 contenders in that title's division so they rotate.
I also made it so 6-man tornado tag teams are frequent so it would book 6 random guys already from other division with more contenders. Making it more likely for him to be booked from the remaining guys. I only play his matches anyway I skip everything else
That's one thing I didn't like unverise mode alot of the things made 0 to no sense.

The championship "button" in the Match table is not broken... set the specialty matches as main event and 1 only, including tag team specialty matches a and you will occasionally get a championship match as the main event with a title on the line not every week. I sand boxed my whole Universe mode using most of the changes you did along with game balancing and the simulation has been going strong for 4 in-game years, including created wrestlers and 4 shows.

That’s weird because the main event button and championship button works perfectly for me. When I put them on, I always get championship matches.
How i never get them at all even the mid carder belts
I have tried all of the suggestions on how to make this mode more fun, and all I have accomplished is additional frustrations. No matter how I arrange my rosters, titles, or matches, the same titles are always defended at the PPV. Very rarely will the custom titles, and especially the custom women titles, get defended. And the custom tag titles may as well be nonexistent.
I'll try turning off automatic rivalries too and see how it plays out in 2k22
Never thought somebody would think level 1 was the highest and strongest ally. I thought i was dumb until seeing that. It has always been common sense that level 5 would be the highest and best choice with allies. Well i thought it was until now. 😂
If ur looking for just a caw character just do superstar mode it simulates every match but urs and does rivalries and whatever else auto
I removed all wwe arenas shows superstars and titles and did 2 custom shows with just CAWs and CACs ... honestly it's very entertaining even with the auto booking I basically have a MTV celebrity death match show and a def jam style show .... I knock back a beer or 2 and just let the ai do their thing ... imagine j cole and kendrick vs migos or wu tang or g unit ... that's how I basically have mine set up
Anyone else has that problem ? : I tried to custom made Cody Rhodes Wrestlemania suit and every time I use it as an alt atire in universe mode for some reason his music gets cut off 😩
For some reason universe superstar mode always sets a triple threat with my tag partner. I always beat the **** out of her. It’s fun.
Honestly how I would make it fun for me is to completely randomise the roster(even NXT) imagine John Cena, Undertaker or Brock Lesnar in NXT also. In these games I never play any of the #1 contender matches, battle royals or title matches because it makes it more interesting but above all else I never play the PPVs. Every other match I’ll play and decide who wins by who I control.

The ai cashes in I had mine up to 4 sim and then I looked and the MITB holder was gone then another time I sim the MITB holder was gone but then my main champ was the MITB holder

I did not watch the video yet, but my biggest issue with this game, is that I cannot get rivalry matches to be anything but normal matches, i really hope this video teaches me how to fix this lol.

I was able to have both Roman & The Uso's have 2 matches in a PLE to drop a title or defend both.

Or you could just take the 5 minutes it takes to edit matches into matches you want. I added every character I have whether they were from custom creation or already in the game. And then I just added older versions of WWE titles and again. Take the like 5 minutes to book my own matches
I just add wrestlers who are missing then my myrise character and create the show I want in real life and haven’t gotten bored since this change it’s been 3 weeks now and have had sum really good auto generated rivals and put myself in judgment day
I hate that universe mode always book one on one matches nonstop! Even when you turn it down to 1 percent it’s 6 one on one matches outta 9
Did you limited this to only 1 match per show? Might be why it's still does it.
You can limit how many matches of a specific match type get booked

@@youngksb Considering in your original comment you said you turn it down to 1 percent I don’t believe you’re using the right option. The percentage only increases or decreases the likelyhood of that match type showing up compared to the other match types on your table. There’s another option next to that which limits the amount of those match types can be scheduled on a show regardless of the percent. By default it says “unlimited” you need to change that to 1 or however many you want to limit to a show
I get a lot of 6 man tags or fatal4ways shit even a lot of falls count anywhere matches

After update 1.09 2k broke so much mygm crashed now ever time I load it crashes and I heard that myrise won't load now. Btw rivalry system sucks I thought it was gonna be like 2k15 but it's trash

I like playing 16 -24 matches a week because I take a few weeks off the game sometimes
turning off automatic rivalries i useally do this only for if i dont like the match ups i get with a character like for me i been doing female universe and i turn it off
during times when i get stephnie mcmahn as a rivalry match up nothing against her but shes good as a manager maybe one or two time match up but for a
long rivalry match no way shes been known for people online if u get someone choosing steph run away as fast as you can as they are the ill put every special
move on her regular move list basicly cheating their ass off as now a days we choose legends or make characters based off legends we like not random specials

Hey can anyone help me out please any information I will take at this point 🤣 Basically since realease I’ve been having a serious problem with universe mode we’re when it comes to defending my Smackdown titles on the PLE they just become standard matches and no titles appear for Smackdown though all the raw ones do with no problem. I’ve had this problem on ps5 and Xbox series x and it sucks

Yes, but it doesn’t work well for created characters, just the top wrestlers that are already getting booked every week

How do you move Elimination chamber and all the other ppvs?
I believe you have to delete the ppvs that you want to delete and then create the ones you want to create again
also id advise you not to keep tag matches on every brands table as unless your going for the tag belts there is no reason to have 3 - 4 tag matches in a row is annoying
All I know is "allies" sorta lowers the chances of "tag teams" getting booked against each other. Sounds crazy but this games fucked.
For me id need to remove 99% of the game roster and make a roster between 80s-90s-00s-2011 for me to wanna play

In my recent my Universe, after seeing some videos about Universe mode. I started to tweak the divisions and the weekly shows/PPVs, quantity of matches, types of matches and their percentage, etc. For example in the weekly shows and PPVs, if delete the matches on the part of "one vs one rivalry" and "two vs two rivalry" and use only the ones set on your show, like 1 vs 1 (normal) and 2 vs 2 (normal), etc...The possibility of that situation, of facing the same dude or girl every week until the PPV, diminishes it, it may occur at times, like it occur, with my Liv Morgan vs Mercedes Moné contender match, when I only wanted them to face in the PPV. I simply edit their match, turning into a brawl, or change their opponents or turn into a tag match. But tweaking the divisions and matches, does improve the auto-booking, making the main eventers, only face each other and midcarders face other midcarders, using the auto-booking. Similar to UFC and One Championship works.

MyUniverse in superstar mode is broken AF. There are so many times there will be mode breaking bugs it is basically unplayable. for example, if you use certain rivalry options and you get selected for a match in which YOUR superstar has to interupt the match, the match will not start you will get stuck at the loading screen. sometimes if you try to be a manager of another match the same thing will happen. And since you are in superstar mode you can't simulate the match or switch modes in the middle of a show or make any changes to the match. It is rather incredible how poorly designed it is. I also ran into a royal rumble which somehow got set to no win conditions. I don't even know how that is possible; you can't create a custom match with no win conditions but the game can glitch out and change the match settings somehow mid loading. And once again if you are in superstar mode you can't fix it.
I haven't played a WWE game since Here comes the pain. I am looking for recommendations of which WWE game I should go with; I am on PC not interested in console games.
I like to create a superstar and take them through a career. I am trying to do that with MyUniverse mode in superstar mode in 2k23 but it too buggy and the rivalry system is just too empty; doesn't even come close to feeling like a storyline. Myrise I played and finished a I freaking despised it. You had no control over your character, the matches, your dialogue choices didn't matter and my created superstar in that mode was a total moron.
I would like to play a mode that is more inbetween my rise and my universe but in a game that has pretty in depth character creation. Anyone know which WWE would be best for my preference?

@@lorddsanji. that hasn't been released yet, that is just the next game coming out. There is no way to have in depth knowledge of what the my universe will look like yet outside the general information they have released. It does sound like they are bringing back a good deal of features they have removed (such as guest referee). so I am somewhat optimistic; but given the number of problems with 23's myuniverse I am skeptical they will make that many improvements to it.
It seems, in general, games that have a yearly release tend to not make too many dramatic improvements year to year. Usually the experience is almost not even worth buying the next year release for about 5 years before there are enough improvements to justify buying a new game.
I didn't try this yet, does anyone know if you can import your created character from previous games? probably not.
@@patrickthomas2119 you cannot import sadly and they did mention about improving my rise and universe and whatever we get will have the best mode i assume or you can just go with 2k22,or wwe 11/12

I KEEP RESTARTING EVERYTHING
Try a PPV every 2 weeks. 6 PPVs a season. This makes the year a lot shorter. Mania is then every 3 months so you can get to the climax of a story quicker.

If you’re having to auto book the shows, talk trash about how certain modes and aspects of the game sucks, WHY did you buy it to begin with? 2K22 MyGM mode, you could only have very little match types, very little to work with while the Superstar mode in Universe, you experience glitches. But in 2K23, you have a WIDE Variety of modes, matches and so much more to choose from in MyGM mode. They even added Shake ups to help progress your superstars. And you say that’s BORING!?!?!? You’re not getting your moneys worth if all you’re looking to do is bash a growing game that DELIVERED in its sequel by giving true fans of Pro Wrestling what they wanted…. Just the Facts.
