I've seen some of the best magicians but so many of them seem emotionless. The interaction with the crowd here really brings a new level to the magic tricks.
Grown ass man sitting at my desk crying because a man on the internet told a simple but beautiful story of love, mystery and magic and made me believe in all 3 of them at the same time. God bless you man, the world needs you and more people like you.
Right now, at my desk, tears in my eyes. What an unbelievable moment he created. I wish that making that emotional connection was more common in this field: what Hannibal does here elevates the art form and leaves adults walking away from a magic show feeling like a kid again.
@@HannibalSpeaks The funny thing is, it seems to me that your art is love. I've seen quite a few videos now and i loved every bit of them, you are amazing :)!
CZcams randomly recommended your channel to me and I've just been sitting here binging videos of your acts for two hours now. You're an incredible magician, a wonderful storyteller, and funny as hell, but what I'm taking away from this is that if more people took their gifts and used them to spread love like you do, the world would be a much happier place, so thank you for that, and I hope that the love and joy you've spread to others comes back to you in full.
Being a fan of stage "magic" I've seen lots of tricks. Cards, coins, cups, etc. Different performers do things differently, some suck and some are grand. But never have I seen a man do something so simple, yet so very beautiful as this performance. Thank you, really.
my dad is a magician so i kind of am one too. learned his tricks since i was a child. i am 31 now and allways look through yt and other stuff just to see new routines. and still, i know how the most tricks are done, there is one of a thousand who can amaze me just by the way they interact with the crowd and keep your eyes awai from the trick simply by telling a nice story. you sir a one of my favorite! (sorry for bad english. not my first.)
Again, what a gift. Thanks man. Really powerful combo of story telling, inspirational and magic, which is in itself almost secondary. This is transcending magic into the realm of art and human connection. Your kids must feel so much spoiled with you as their dad!
I'm sucking at life right now. I'm coming on 35 years of age, recently diagnosed autistic (so THAT'S why I'm weird, lol!), fumbling around through this pandemic like I'm some kind of droid waiting to be rebooted and then this Hannibal guy happens to me and... well, let's just say I desperately want him to come to the UK so I can see his show! He's not just a magician, he's a brilliant entertainer and a good soul! I saw a pandemic video of his where he talks about baking bread and giving food he's made away to strangers who are struggling and I've watched a few more besides. The world needs you, Hannibal... especially at a time like this! Hang tight in there buddy, you're an antidote!!!
You just have everything; the sleight of hand, misdirection, comedy, captivating, genuinely heartwarming. Even throwing in some philosophy. You're pure solid gold.
Only about 30% of magic is the actual trick itself. The other 70% is the showmanship, the masterful presentation of the trick, engaging your audience. This is a perfect example of brilliant, flawless presentation.
As one wise Wizard once said. “Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” This man knows what he's doing. Just had a wonderful evening, stumbling across your Magic. Thanks :)
What a beautiful story. Not the story of the cobbler and the elves, but a story made for people to share and remember. ...I legit teared up. Thank you for sharing that. You're amazing.
Magic is ok but he's a real story teller. Someone who's able to capture the imagination of the young and the old. I find myself coming back years after I've already seen these videos and I'm just as amazed as i was the first time I saw them.
I have watched a lot of magicians in 50 plus years and I have to say your style and your storytelling ability combine to make an impossibility a reality. I find myself not caring about solving the trick, but rather the message that comes from the story. This in my humble opinion is what puts you at the very top of a very crowded field of great, talented magicians. Thank you!
Sooooo. This is probably my third or fourth video of yours I've seen and i can already tell you have earned yourself another well deserved subscriber. And ill be sure to rope in a few more!
With other magicians it feels like they communicate with their audience just to make their tricks go smoother and look better (and that is fine). But with this guy, it feels as if his tricks (that are still great) are just a complement to his awesome chemistry with the audience (and I love that)!
I'm not gonna lie, the performance and craftsmanship to the magic here is beyond anything I've seen People know the stuff you do are tricks. You Sir, turned the tricks into true magic. Thank you.
You sir, bring magic to our beautiful state and beyond. Your ability to make us believe in magic is more than just coins and cards and an old bowler hat, it's deeper. I have never been moved to tears by an act until I saw yours in this clip. You make Us NC hillbillies proud!
Any magician with practice can perform tricks. Mr. Hannibal, I love watching your performances. your humor, wit, and sensitivity shine through every interaction you have with the audience. You are an inspiration to watch. Your level of maturity and wonder, I imagine, has been a long and winding road. Keep on inspiring others in the future.. God Bless you...
I've been watching this video for years. Every now and then I come back to it because after countless views, it always teaches me something new that I can carry into the next day. I may not redefine how someone lives their life with what I've learned, but I can influence how they decide to pursue their own definition of happiness and success with what I've taken away from this story. In some ways, I can relate, in others it makes me feel nostalgic on moments that haven't even happened yet. It makes me feel warm, and innocent, comforted in now and hopeful for the future....It makes me see the beauty that this world can possess without worry of everything that terrifies me. This is one of the most incredible moments that I've experienced and I wasn't even there in person. I can't imagine the impact this had on those that were in those seats that night. Keep doing what you're doing, Hannibal. You have a gift, and I'm fortunate enough to have pulled that only item out my proverbial stocking you were referring to.
In a time, where everybody seems to have to rush and most people have the attention span of 2 minutes max, you know how to truly captivate your audience - both live and on screen. Your synchronization is truly amazing: your voice complements your action. It is a pleasure to know that there are still people like yourself, that know how to entertain and to touch the lives of others by merely doing what they are good at. I salute you, kind sir.
Just an internet wanderer lucky enough to stumble on a video like this... with a heartwarming story, told with sincerity by a talented magician... A big hug from Brazil!
I've seen David Copperfield twice and the way Hannibal engages with the audience while performing truly amazing illusions is the best I've ever seen. Keep up the good work sir!
I’ve seen this video numerous times and each time it still is as great as the last. The humour and the heart work so perfectly together to make something incredibly unique. Here’s to you man!
For your last tale tale in this video, it made me think, ponder with a lot of wonder, "If a wrapped present is mysteriously beautiful, because you simply don't know what it could be and by opening it you destroy that mystery, what about us in the engineering community? What could be just as beautiful? To us Woodworkers and to those who create games and who create those objects, what would be just as beautiful?" To which I answered, A piece of blank stock that's *just* the right size to make only one thing out of. We could turn it into *anything* in the world. We could make a piece of material that was just as beautiful for our wife, girlfriend or child or we could turn it into another tool or gadget for our self and our sons to use in the future and many generations on wards. Possibly the next most beautiful thing from a present is a blank - To a writer, a piece of paper, to a woodworker a log, to a blacksmith and to engineers a bar or block of metal. The very reason some of us who have the talent at home keep a blank we get from someone else, well, *blank*, is because the answer of "What can I do with this?" is simply too grand for us to want to destroy it. It then becomes a mystery to us as it has to your daughter Rose, we don't know the answer because there are too many answers to give. Have a wonderful day Hannibal and everyone else who reads this comment! And for those night-prowlers who read blocks of text like this, I wish a great night to you too.
I know this is an old video but I just found you and you're absolutely astonishing. What I love about you is how you care about the crowd and it's really nice to see a breath of fresh air. Your speeches make me tear up and your jokes make me laugh till I wheeze and your sleight of hand never ceases to amaze me. Please keep on being you.
chirs I just wanted to say you are probably my favorite magician, I've seen alot of sleight of hand over the past few years but my God man you are just so personable and loveable
You incorporated your act into the story and here sitting and listening, there is no way to tell which from which. That is what people seek in game developing, that is what people imbue in literature, it is most definitely what children feel when they listen to the first words and cannot separate meaning from sound. You, sir, did much more than your show. You were a living example of storytelling. And as the dedicatory on my undergrad final assignment says: "To those who tell stories, for besides sex, it is the most ancient ritual of humanity." Thank you, sir. Thank you very much.
Certainly touched my heart. I can figure out the tricks but your story got to me deeper than the act itself. What you wove was truly magic. I was immersed. Wish I could hear you at a campfire telling this story. Amazing sir.
I've always wondered if he's from Texas or not. Something about him gives off a real Texas vibe. I really hope he still performs. This guy could really bring some smiles into the world with his passion for magic, and first rate delivery.

Hannibal, thank you for your art. for you work, and for this moment i just experienced. no man can learn how to control objects - since its all misdirection, tricks and simple routines. the real magic - is being able to touch the audience, to create unforgettable experiences, moments and feelings. you are a true magician Hannibal, thank you so much. sorry for my English.
That story at the end about his daughter and not wanting to look inside because to her it could literally be anything inside is just amazing, and how well it went with not unfolding the dollar so as to not spoil the magic. I really hope those ladies still have those dollar bills, unfolded, somewhere so they can be reminded of that special night and that magic truly does exist if you choose to believe it does.
This is special. I'm only seeing this magical performance over three years after it has been done. The mixture of comedy, beautiful story telling, and great magic... Just awesome! Thank you for your time, patience, and effort... even if it is many years later. May you and your family have many blessings. 😊 🍀 ☮

Yes. A story combined with a magic trick will stay with you longer than the trick itself. Beautiful.
