The best part about this is that I guarantee you that the joker was supposed to be the original "Okay I'll just change this into your card" but the guy walked RIGHT into it LOL. I can't imagine holding in the smile if I'm Ryan and I know the guy just played himself.

    • lXl Caesar lXl
lXl Caesar lXl Před 28 dny

@KP Nobody ever says Joker. If you ask someone to name any card in the deck they will say Joker maybe 1 out of 10,000 times. It was pure luck

    • Michael Graffam
      Michael Graffam Před 2 měsíci

@KP obviously not impossible.. because he did it.
"Most" ppl will play along. But a reliable contingent will not.
      Its a numbers game.

    • KP
      KP Před 2 měsíci

@Michael Graffam no most people don't try to catch magicians by going off script. Most people play along nicely. Even if they don't, Ryan cannot rely on just luck for the trick. It was literally an impossible trick, which is why that guy wouldn't believe it if it happened twice.

    • Michael Graffam
      Michael Graffam Před 6 měsíci

Yeah, of course -- but its deeper than that. He could have played it that way, if necessary. But in reality most people will say joker. When Ryan says "Nobody ever says that" -- it was sarcasm. lol. Most people try to catch out magicians by going with something "off-script" like that which means you simply go with the joker in the box to make it "on-script". Its super impressive if they "walk into" the plan.
But if not, Ryan has the chops to deftly "change" the card to whatever is required.

@charvelgtrs its not a plant. typically they guess a card and the joker comes out and he says "well the joker can be anything" and he does sleight of hand and switches the card. Pretty much like what he does in this video after the joker reveal and having the guy guess the face down card on the table.

    • charvelgtrs
      charvelgtrs Před 2 lety +1

It was clearly a plant. He handed the paper plane himself and the guy said Joker to make it seem more impressive. The other paper planes is just to give the illusion that there are no plants.

I think Ryan planned to use the last trick to switch the joker for whatever card the dude said LOL. But homie said joker so it made it 100x better. That’s prob why he wanted to perform the extra trick at the end which was the initial trick 😂

    • Praful Yadav
      Praful Yadav Před 6 měsíci

@simon gilliard I've watched this guy do this same routine for different audience and it was not staged, there was a joker in that trick as well and the guy said something else and he then swapped the joker like he did in this act's last trick.

    • Zach Adelic
      Zach Adelic Před 8 měsíci

@AngryPCLobby Zweitchannel I dont think its obvious? I think its a possibly a stooge but I am actually leaning towards that it just happened to work out perfectly. I think he was planning on doing a switch because he picks up the deck of cards and has a break but then dude says joker and he sets the cards back down losing the break because he doesnt need it. Another clue that I dont think it was a stooge is that he at first reaches for the box, which is what he would have done had it been another card for the switch, but then realizes that he doesnt have to because well its a joker so then he stops reaching for it and tells the lady spectator to pull the card out of the box. Pretty sure thats what happened and he just got super lucky. Which does happen! If you watch some of Peter Turners stuff or other magicians talk about doing ACAAN tricks they say that you should just have a person say an card and a number without touching the deck like no forcing, no equivocate, just straight up guessing. And they say SOMETIMES it will work! If it works you dont freak out and pretend like you meant it to happen then move on, if it doesnt say "well yeah because that is nearly impossible but lets see if we can make it work..." then move onto your ACAAN routine...so....I think Ryan just got super fuggin lucky and its awesome! haha
Edit: So I actually commented this before I saw that he did it again and dont you think if dude was a stooge he would have said "ace of hearts" because then that would have been a super mind blowing thing if he did it twice and then Ryan does some patter so he can find the ace of spade then he does the color change like if he knew the stooge was going to say ace of spades then wouldnt he have had the ace of spades ready to go for the color change like before he tried the second time? That actually make me like 95% sure it wasnt a stooge personally!

    • simon gilliard
simon gilliard Před 9 měsíci +2

I think the trick here is that it is indeed his buddy just like he said when he was explaining the plane and that the reason why he did the two previous tricks is to make people forget that he handed the plane directly to this person

    • Ryan Hayashi
Ryan Hayashi  Před 4 lety +5

Hey man! Good luck with your channel. Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you like my work. My confident personality and professional badass manner (the result of my confident personality) seem to be my main selling point and the one aspect of my performance style that people keep saying sets me apart from the rest. I am aware of this and I see this as a good sign. When I watch most magic, it is often too boring, dorky and cheesy for my taste. I usually have the feeling that the magician is showing effects nobody cares about, and projecting a personality type that the viewers care even less about. I perform magic that is seen as among the strongest in the world, but at the same time I pour so much fun personality into my performances that the audience and I know that I could stop the magic at any point in time and still be just as entertaining. That's what makes me fundamentally different. Other magicians try to improve their performances by adding better scripts, speaking skills and presentation to their magic. I am the opposite. I hit my audiences with an inspirational alpha personality who happens to show some magic while really connecting with them. All the best to you! Ryan Hayashi
