Lord Kitchener R.I.P. - Final Public Appearance

In what is considered his last public appearance the Grand Master Lord Kitchener appears with the Mozart of Pan Len Boogsie Sharpe along with the Invaders steel band performing his timeless classic Pan Night & Day at Ringbang Celebration 2000.

The BWIA Orchestra simply marvelous, and of course, Ken Boogsie Sharp. Heard so much of him when living in the Wash DC area many years ago. Von Martin mentioned him so much. Glad to see this . RIP to colossal man who added so much to our Caribbean Culture. Please preserve this jewel of music and groom young talents to appreciate and continue this music.

The BBC has a program called Leaving the Island about Carribean immigration to the UK after the war and Lord Kitchener is interviewed as he got off the ship and composes an impromptu Calypso: London !s The Place For Me.
