Lionnnnn! Kaiso man! And man Sparrow! And man Kitchie! All three of them one place!! Awesome. I love being African, I must to say it. Thanks for posting!
These artists will be forgotten if we do not appreciate their work. What I mean that radio stations in Trinidad like Wack Radio 90.5 should play kaiso more often, especially during Carnival especially the Mighty Sparrow & Lord Kitchener's Road March tunes from (1963-1976), because they dominated the cultural landscape for a long time
By far the sweetest interview about music I've ever seen. Sorry Miles, but the Cool originated in Trinidad too. There's no denying it ;) Thanks for sharing.
that was great thank you very much what you do my seem like nothing sometimes but I can tell you its the world to someone like me and even more so when we are far from home thank you and Merry Christmas
Remember seeing this documentary years ago. A wonderful recorded interview/impromptu performances - so slick no rehearsal just their voices as instruments. Genius interpretation and just pure feeling/timing. Remember all the song titles but forgot what Lord Kitcherner's song called - anyone help?
Beautiful just beautiful!!! Love the reminiscing, the singing, and the threads.
Priceless!!! Thanks for posting!!
