The story of my 1st (first) bike. Wow how did I do it? /

We have all had a 1st bike. But when you think back now to what you did and what you thought!! Well well. What a nightmare. So funny to remember what we did in those days. I can still remember what I did and how gormless I really was. Send me your stories, I would love to hear them.

Had a few bikes when I was younger but didn't actually do my bike test until I was 25 so did the direct full power licence and bought a Suzuki GS500 as my first bike on the road.

Hi, brilliant, having a GS500 was a bit of a power surge wasn't it as your first bike. My 250cc (knackered) two stroke was bloody powerful to me. By the time I got to a 500, I had had a bit of experience, but the 500 seemed awesomely fast

Great story mate. I'm younger than you. First bike was a Honda 250 Superdream. Got it at 16 but couldn't ride it til i was 17. Turned 17 in feb. 1983.....when did they change the rules so that learners could only ride 125s? F#@king feb. 1983. Never got to ride it (legally).

Bloody hell, what a nightmare. My mate was 16 in the Dec, he had a bike all ready to ride when he reached that age. About a week before he was old enough to ride, they put the age limit up to 17. So, he had to wait a full year before he could ride. Just like you. What an arse!!!
