-Our Intro Song "Feel the Love" From Alex's band
open.spotify.com/album/4Dao8y...
It’s been a minute since we’ve hit the ABB! This was a killer tune! What’s the next thing we should hit from them?! 🔥
You can’t be in a bad mood after listening to this one. Midnight Rider, Whipping Post, Ain’t Wasting Time No More, I’ll say it - Ramblin’ Man (as overplayed as it is, it’s a great song!)…Melissa may be my favorite.
For a late night driving down a road at night, "Dreams".
For an awesome daytime banger, check out "Revival"
One Way Out - Live Fillmore East
"Ain't Wasting Time No More" would be my vote. Many good options however.
Melissa, Southbound, Ain't Wastin' Time No More.
Melissa. You can’t say you know the ABB without hearing this forever classic.
"No one hears his lonely sighs,
There are no blankets where he lies.
In all his deepest dreams the Gypsy flies
with sweet Melissa... mmm..."
Ramblin man
I assumed they'd already listened to _Melissa._ Yes, for _absolute_ sure, they've got to experience this 50+-yr.-old song of substance.
The unplugged live version is killer.
One of the most beautiful love songs ever.
The Duane and Dickey solos are monumental. Love this song.
I believe this was the first song Dickey sang for the Allman Bros
One way out!
@@vmarc7 I believe it was released after he died.
'Nuff said ...
This.
Sing you home Mr. Betts, and thank you for a lifetime of music.
RIP Dickey hope you and Duane are pickin' those celestial harmonies once more.
I’m born and raised in Georgia, and there are few experiences as sublime as driving through rural Georgia on a sunny morning in Spring, windows down, Blue Sky playing on the stereo.
Driving in the Adirondack mountains after a spring ski is up there. Upstate NY
Yes, it is quintessential spring music
My family is from Philly. My sister took a job in Tift County, southern Georgia in the 1980’s and raised her kids in Lowndes County. I enjoyed driving around there when visiting them.
This is a beautiful song inspired by Dickey’s Native American girlfriend, whose last name loosely translates as “Blue Sky.”
Alex and Andy should react to “Revival” by the ABB.
man, same. many times have i driven down to statesboro from atlanta and this song is basically the perfect soundtrack for going down highway 441 or 25.
I wish the whole country was more country. Cities smell.
Gotta do Melissa....it's a classic. You will learn the words & sing along every time you hear it. Not by choice, it's a cosmic experience forced upon you by the music gods.
Yes. A&A.... Sweet Melissa has
a similar vibe. Love that song.
My absolute fav of AB. Actually probably is in the top 10 of all my favorite songs.
The demo version of "Melissa" is also very good, released on the obscure album "Duane and Greg Allman", a collection of demos put out by a small record company.
@@porflepopnecker4376 I'll look for it! Thanks 😊
Melissa...or Soul Shine
The original early Allman Brothers lineup are in a class of their own -- S tier band
My favorite band. Been digging the ABB for almost 50 years now. This song in particular.
This is the song I want played at my funeral.
Well, you can't go wrong with Eat a Peach. As a Georgia native, it's hard to miss an album like this. Makes me think of a day in GA when the sky is completely clear and a brilliant blue, kind of like when I was a kid.
One of my all-time favorite albums… And Jimmy Carter’s I might add!
I remember 'trippin' on The Mountain Jam. One of my best musical 'experiences'. They 'took me out back', then headed up into the hills, following creeks and getting me so lost before realizing we came out right where we started.
Always had this queued up as soon as I hit PA 33N heading to the Pocono party house.
Betts was married to a Native American woman named Linda Blue Sky, thus the name of the song.
Her name is Sandy “Blue Sky”, not Linda.
After all these years I still know that till about a month ago. Cool stuff.
I would have a listen to “Ain’t Wasting Time No More” great jam, and feel good lyrics.
One of my top three songs from them! I love in the last verse where Gregg clips the top end of the mic!! I can almost see the meters pegging in the booth when he does that!
Hell yes!
Great Song!!!
You ain’t wrong.
One of Duane Allman's final recorded performances with the band. Every song on this album is great.
Is that right? I thought this side was all after Duane had died. Not just Dickey Betts.
@@johnfraser5614 You are correct, Duane passed in 1971. The live material contained his work, but not the studio recordings.
@@ClueSign Duane was on Blue Sky and Stand Back as well. He plays the first part of this solo until he harmonizes with Dickey and dickey goes into the second part. Blue Sky is dual leads, recorded in August 1971, 2 months before Duane died
@@redhouseparadise4063 Thank you, I totally forgot about those.
@@redhouseparadise4063 Yes, what a shame Duane died so young.
I had forgotten how much I love this song
This song is the audio equivalent of sunshine and 80 degrees. My go-to feel good song. Works every time.
A great cruising the country tune. In Michigan, that would be corn fields, forests, dunes, and the shore of Lake Michigan, all within 20 miles for me. Great memories with thos tune. You said it well.
Great to see The Allman Bros. today. They have many more awesome tunes: "Statesboro Blues", "Ain't Wastin Time No More" and "One Way Out" are a few.
One Way Out from the Fillmore- just the back and forth guitars of D. Betts and D. Allman alone is classic.
@@mdarnell51 One way out, for sure.
Ain’t wasting time is my favorite!
@@kalandrews2873 It's hard for me to pick a favorite Allman Bros. song. They have so many great ones and I forgot Stormy Monday! I used to sing that when I was doing accoustic gigs.
I have to say, "Statesboro Blues", "Ain't Wastin Time No More" and "One Way Out" are probably the three greatest ABB tunes that they haven't hit yet. Toss in "Melissa" and it's perfect.
Probably one of the sweetest rock songs ever recorded. Guitar one: Duane Allman. Guitar two: Dickey Betts. He wrote this song. The verse resolution coming out of the solo section was typical ABB perfection. You guys SO got this. RIP Mr. Betts. A+++
No, no, no! S tier all day, every day! Listened to this song a million times and have never, ever grown tired of the vibe and musicianship. A go-to whenever I need to be transported to my happy place.
Absolutely one of the happiest songs I've had the pleasure to know! If you were to ask me to name an upbeat, happy song, Blue Sky would fall out of my mouth without me even thinking about it!
I would add Soulshine to this as songs to lift the spirit! And Soul Singing by the Black Crowes!!
@@jeffk2526 I like it! Soulshine is some of Warren's best work to me!
I totally agree with you about Blue Sky, Mark, but that is not what S-tier is for, according to A&A. S-tier is for genre-busting songs, or something like that. (Maybe "genre-busting" kinda equates with "revolutionary" or "redefines" or "opens up new frontiers.") Blue Sky *PERFECTS* its genre, it doesn't bust it. Maybe they need to have a "B-tier" for "so perfectly beautiful you could cry" -- anyway, that's how I feel about Blue Sky.
@@alexjbennett1017 I see your point. I guess for me it’s a song that overwhelmingly appeals to my sense of taste and that takes me to another place. It’s certainly subjective and unique to each of us. I loved their reaction and S Tier score of CSN&Y’s Wooden Ships, which also has a similar effect on me. Crazy, but Roundabout is one of the only other songs that I could listen to forever and never grow tired.
Please do “Melissa” next! You won’t have to look far-it’s on the same album as “Blue Sky.” 🍑 It is absolute perfection. Another song I think you’d love that’s in the same vein as “Blue Sky” is “Amie” by Pure Prairie League.
Agreed.
Very reminiscent of Ramblin Man.
@@johnhughes3214 interesting! That hasn’t ever occurred to me!
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hey @@Shadowrider1872! ☺️
Sweet Melissa is a great song
Eat a Peach. One of the greatest albums of all time
"One Way Out" next. It has a little different style than what you've listened to so far. Duane kills it. It's a live recording and it's great. Allman Bros live at the Fillmore East has long been considered one of the best live albums ever. "Southbound" is a great one too that's more straight forward rocker. It gives you another flavor yet.
You still have several A+ songs left. "Dreams" is a longer, lost in the sauce. "Ain't Wasting Time No More" is the best song that you haven't heard yet. "Statesboro Blues" is a classic blues. "Little Martha" is an acoustic instrumental happy little song. "Revival" is yet another great jam. And "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" is more in the vein of Melissa.
These are all A+.
"One Way Out" is a monster classic, everyone's cooking on that performance. Revival, Sweet Melissa and Statesboro Blues are all great too.
Those lyrics. What a great song!
Gotta agree w my brothers:
“It just Ain’t My Cross To Bear” is another great choice. Still prefer Stormy Monday.
They have to play the first track "Don't Want You No More" that leads into "It's Not My Cross To Bear" to get the feel and full affect like we did on the album back in the day. Here is the link: czcams.com/video/IVEc0GFQr5s/video.html
Stormy Monday, yes.
I like 'get on with your life' a little more
Happy Wednesday, fellow rockers! Luv this tune, it always takes me to my happy place! Thanks
Thanks for reacting to this. This is one of the greatest songs there is. Timeless.
One of my favorite songs of all time. Glad you guys are hitting it.
"One Way Out," is a great song by the Allman Bros. Anything from the early Allman Bros is exceptional.
When you opened up the album cover, there was a picture of a watermelon. Duane was killed when his motorcycle came into contact with a peach truck. Almost a year to the day later Barry Oakley their bassist was killed when his motorcycle came into contact with a watermelon truck.
Great song. Other Allman Bros recommended songs that I don't think you've yet covered are Ain't Wastin Time No More, Melissa, One Way Out, Revival & In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.
"In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" live at the Fillmore East ('71) is unbelievable!..It is 13 minutes of pure bliss!..It's an instrumental that you'll won't want to end!
Another vote for "Stormy Monday ". Impeccable slow blues with guitar and organ solos that will knock your socks off
The "Blue Sky" in the song is actually Dickey's girlfriend, soon to be wife, Sandy "Blue Sky" Wabegijib (whew! Had to look up that spelling!). This is truly one of the happiest, most upbeat songs I know! It ranks WAY up on my "All Time" list! The "Eat a Peach" album is fantastic from start to finish, and you really should hear it all. It's too important not to! If I had to cherry pick tracks to react to, I'd say do "Melissa" and "Little Martha" together. Both are short and wonderful! "Ain't Wasting Time No More" has exceptionally strong vocals by Greg and "One Way Out" is a fun romp about being the "back door man", with scorching slide runs by Duane. The epic instrumental "Mountain Jam" is over 18 minutes and probably too long for your situation. If you are looking for an instrumental (besides Little Martha), I'd do "Les Brers in A Minor" which features some fantastic bass work by Berry and some wonderful guitar/organ harmonies. Whether the reactions find their way onto the channel of not, you must hear this whole wonderful album! The isolated guitar tracks for Dickey, Duane, and Berry, are available on You Tube for Blue Sky. Here's Duane's ........czcams.com/video/0CHsk_GGUA0/video.html
A&A would go nuts over Little Martha.
thx for the great comment
They've done prog-rock that long. Absolutely they should do 'Mountain Jam' :)
“Loan Me A Dime” by Boz Scaggs (with Duane Allman)
The next Allman brothers song to react to isn’t an Allman Brothers Band song. It’s a Boz Scaggs song featuring an amazing extended guitar solo by Duane Allman. It predates the Allman Brothers Band first album by a few months. It was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio where Duane had worked as a session musician. Duane had left to form a band with his brother, but was convinced to come back for a week because of Atlantic Records’ involvement in Boz’s album. The album was ignored at the time, but is now considered a classic and is on Rolling Stone’s list of top 500 albums of all time. I discovered it in the early 80’s when I saw it listed as the #1 greatest album in a book rating the albums of the rock era.
OK so what is it??lol
@@gailjohnson5950 You’re kidding, right?
Just an incredible monster blues masterpiece. The video that goes with it CANNOT be missed!
"Loan me a Dime" is one of the all time greats, good choice.
czcams.com/video/oTFvAvsHC_Y/video.html
I suggested the very same song, “Loan Me a Dime.” So amazing!
Next up from these dudes would be Melissa.. another one of my favorites. Love the Allman brothers.. takes me back to my youth in the 1970s, when music was actually good. Thanks guys, you never disappoint.
Yippee 🙌 The brothers are in the house! 🍑❤️ 🍄
Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident, he hit a Flatbed truck with crane on it Duane Allman was speeding along Hillcrest Avenue on his Harley-Davidson Sportster when he slowed to let a flatbed truck carrying a huge crane boom make a left-hand turn in front of him. Allman pulled his bike toward the center of the road so he could swing around the outside of the truck, but in the middle of its turn the flatbed suddenly rumbled to a stop. Unable to maneuver around or under the giant obstacle, Allman ran right into it. The crane’s weight ball knocked him off his Harley, which bounced up in the air and off of Allman’s chest before skidding to a stop along the curb. The guitarist was not killed instantly-in fact, he had no visible injuries except some bumps and scrapes-but died in surgery later that evening.
And just over exactly a year later, bassist Berry Oakley was killed in a motorcycle accident, just 3 blocks away from Duane's accident, having been hit by a bus.
As gruesome as the details of his death are at least some closure is added for fans by knowledge of such details. Now give me the details of the cause of death of: Charlie Watts, Dusty Hill, Nancy Griffith and Don Everly. Apparently these things are now kept secret for some reason. Not a good idea for the survivors because with the death of a public figure not known leads to speculation, rumors, etc. Transparency? What is going on here?
Did he go to the hospital? Sounds like spleen or something.
@@Mr05Chuck yes he died in surgery from internal bleeding.
ABB have many monumental songs. One of their best is In Memory of Elizabeth Reed. You MUST play the live version off of 1971's Live At Filmore East.
"One Way Out" or "Statesboro Blues" on the rocking blues side; "Mellisa" on the smooth, mellow side (gorgeous melody, one of the most copied licks/chord progressions of all time).
One way out is great, but it's a cover of an already great blues song.
One of my favorite "driving on a sunny day" tunes, even when it's raining. Amazing.
Quality shit! 👍 Eat a Peach is such a good album!!
Great choice. Dickey Betts’ best.
Next: Either “Ain’t Wasting Time No More” or the best version ever of “Stormy Monday” from Fillmore East…..it’s long, but perhaps their best blues song.
"Ain't Wastin' Time No More" and "One Way Out"
Respect, but I'm also a big fan of Jethro Tull's cut of Stormy Monday.
The Allmans could be different bands depending on who was writing or singing between Gregg and Dickie. This song is pure Dickie Betts with country-infused rock and blues. For me it's never been a super big hit, but so smooth and so perfectly arranged with two fantastic guitarists trading easy licks throughout.
Agreed! I completely love this song, but part of me wishes Dickie didn't take a solo. Good as he is, Duane towers over him, and Dickie suffers in the side-by-side comparison.
@@alexjbennett1017 Dickey matches Duane note for note in every song…Duane has a mythical aura due in large part to the fact that he died so young - If it wasn’t for Dickey leading the band from 72 onward, you might never have heard of them.
One of their best. Been listening to it since 1972....almost 50 years! Melissa from the same album has a similar sound and feel. Both are great!
Sweet Melissa!!!!
The guitar work on Fillmore East especially "Stormy Monday and Elizabeth Reed " songs becomes alive and an extension of Duane and Dickey. Beyond the sounds of the guitars there is an emotion that comes through as if in crying out in angusih. I feel like the guitars become alive.
When I was about 7 or 8 years old we drove down to Florida from Michigan and my dad played an Allman Brothers Band Greatest Hits CD front to back about 9 times. I still hold a ridiculous amount of Nostalgia for these songs. Jessica, Ramblin Man, Ain’t Wasting Time No More. They had some jams.
1 listen & you instantly know why this is probably the Allman's most beloved song .
Melissa is a favorite of many and rightfully so. Such a beautiful song and with Gregg on
vocal, it’s a must.
The live acoustic version is my favorite!
One way out & Not my cross to bear next please!
Thanks guys. S tier all day long for me. My fave Allman's song. The guitar tone alone on this is ridiculous. In my all time music top 10 for certain.
It’s embarrassing to admit that I just enjoyed a few songs from these guys on the radio for a long time and it wasn’t till I moved to Macon, GA in the 90’s that I actually bought some of their albums and really, really got into their music. In those 3 years though, I listened to Eat a Peach and Brothers & Sisters and the Fillmore East albums like 100 times. So good.
I feel ya. I too didn't know much about them growing up in the 70s, outside of Ramblin' Man and Midnight Rider. I kind of just ignored them. It wasn't until about 20 years ago when a guy I worked with at the time exposed me to them. He was a huge fan, and he started me off with Eat a Peach. That opened up a huge world for me, and I've been a fan ever since. Blue Sky might be my favorite by them.
Finallllllly! So glad you made it back to my FAVORITE rock band of all time. The Allmans were so so versatile and innovated rock with blues and jazz elements. The live version of Jessica from the 2010’s is a great performance. Anything past 2000 is worth checking out, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks are two guitar experts that every rock fan should know
Ab so friggin Lutely!! That final lineup, with Oteil, Warren and Derek on guitars is solid as a ROCK!
@@tommathews3964 ABB has 4 guitarists in Rolling Stones 100 greatest. Now I know this list isn’t amazing, but Duane and Derek are both top 20 , and Dickey and Warren are around 75-50, that really shows the instrumental mastery they had for decades and decades. Derek Trucks is one the best living guitarists, bar none
@@VinceFerrante Absolutely agree with you, but not with Rolling Stone's list! :) I'd easily have all 4 in the top 20, with Duane and Derek top 5, but that's just me!
@@tommathews3964 All 4 of them I would put in the top 15 of my own personal list, Duane and Derek are my #1 and #2 respectively. Rolling Stones original list from 2003 had Duane at #2 actually! I can’t believe not everyone listens to them , they’re not always even mentioned when people talk about the best American band.
@@VinceFerrante I'm with you on your rankings! Hell, I'd also include Jimmy Herring and Jack Pearson on the list, although they were short term Brothers, especially Jimmy, who is tearing it up with Widespread Panic! I'll be listening to him tonight on the free livestream on You Tube! Jimmy is way up my list and Jack is a lot higher than what I'm sure populates the list. Here's the link for the Panic Stream tonight. czcams.com/video/SubU3oNaJ6o/video.html
Just one of the best tunes ever! Berry Oakley's bass line helps hold it all together. First Duane, then Dickey. And guess what? I was in college when this first came out. Oh those listening parties, lol! And the next time you listen, be outside on a blue sky Sunday morning!!!
Boy do I miss the 70’s. Glad I was around back then.
One of the best instrumental sections of any rock song. Beautiful melody. Unreal solo. What a gorgeous song.
The live version of "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" is incredible....
The ABs version of Stormy Monday has become the standard for that tune. One Way Out - Live at the Fillmore…..S Tier.
This is one of those songs where I know every lick of the solo by heart. I wonder how many times I have heard this. I want to say hundreds, but probably over a thousand. Used to play this album on repeat at times. Love, love, love it.

@@tommathews3964 Thanks!
@@evanpenn1 Certainly! Dickey and Berry's iso tracks are available too! Interesting!
They had a hit with a live cover that wasn't on the Fillmore album. The blues song One Way Out is the ABB only live song that's still a Classic Rock radio staple.
It is completely and totally and utterly and truly impossible to stay in a bad mood after listening to this song. Having said that, what's sad is they didn't play this song live for quite some time years after Dickey and Sandy Bluesky divorced. Side note: Their daughter was named Jessica.......
And a son, Duane, who is carrying the torch now in the Allman Betts Band, along with Devon Allman and Berry Oakley Jr!
I grew up in Atlanta and this reminds me so much of a sweet southern morning. Thanks for playing magic!!!!!!
Kids, at 57 I have made up my mind: this is the greatest guitar solo EVER, and I have heard all the greats you care to mention. Thank you Dickey! and so long.
Duane and dickey- nuff said. cool reaction fellas
I guess you know understand why we all went crazy when “eat a peach“ came out. The Allman Brothers we’re on everybody’s lips. It made people go out and buy albums for the first time.
There is a phenomenal song from 1994 from them called No One To Run With. Most don’t know it. It is Amazing. I wore my tape out.
when Duane meets Dickie and they are playing in unison...it's magic
Love the laid back side of the 70s.
Love 🧡 The Allman Brothers Band.
Blue Sky is definitely a feel good Allman Bros song. but I agree, I love Midnight Rider the most. Ramblin' Man is a must hear. Never mind I see you've done that one. So, I'd say Melissa should be next.
It's hard to beat a groovy 70's rock jam. Thanks Guys.
Little did we know how spoiled we were in the 70s. Greatest music ever to never come again. RIP 70s
Duane Allman is my favorite guitar player. His session work with the Swampers (see Sweet Home Alabama) is terrific. The slide in Clarence Carter’s the Road Of Love, Wilson Pickett Hey Jude, Boz Scaggs’ Loan Me A Dime. Obviously I am assuming you have already reacted to In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed live Fillmore east but if not you should.
My favorite band ever. Could be because I moved to Daytona Beach from Maryland when I was 19 and the Allman Brothers were just coming on the scene. They lived there for a while and I believe Greg graduated high school there. Saw them play there and hearing them now always takes me back to those free spirited days. Love me some southern rock!
Come and Go Blues would a great one to consider doing next, great example of band playing tight and together
A+ . Agreed!
This song...is simply good therapy.
I teenager'ed in the 70's, grew up on the greatest music time ever.... coffee was 25 cents a cup, free refills all day long. Cheap coffee, great music, best of times. Class of 77...
I would listen to “One Way Out,@ which is a live performance. It’s on the “Eat a Peach” album. There is also a video version of it.
“ Mountain Jam “ from Eat A Peach album. One of the most beautiful guitars solos on record.
"Melissa" should be next. It's such a BEAUTIFUL SONG!
What a treat for you guys,,,such a beautiful blast from the past...
Next - The EPIC instrumental jam "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed". Triple S Musicianship!
The studio version is good but i think the Fillmore East version is EPIC !!!
This has always been a big favorite of mine from the ABB -- and I've been an ABB fan since like 1975 or so... I worked for a couple years back in my youth to be able to play both leads in this song, and to play some of the harmony licks as one (since it was possible). Man, I was so proud :-). I still remember most of the "how" but my ancient fingers are no longer nimble enough to pull it off.
Allman brothers and Little feat both kicked ass with the same kind of love them both
This song just makes me smile.
This song was last place in a poll with 16%, not sure why or how but I'm glad you guys hit it anyway.
This song has a very special meaning for me. My name is Richard but was nicknamed Dicky after Dicky Betts when this song came out. It is definitely in my top 5 favourite songs list. Beautiful. Thanks guys….whiskey.
Wait a minute…just gotta do air guitar here.
Ps… I have ‘Blue Sky - Grey Day’ carved into my bench outside. Grey Day by Jesse Colin Young is another song I hope you do one day.
@Wicky, I think you and I and about 3 more people even know who Jesse Colin Young is. His Song for Julie album has been one of my constants since about 1979 or so.
@@Maydoggie yes! Thanks, I thought I was the only one! I know of two others as well, so that makes us a movement, in my books.
Melissa, live acoustic version, amazing, you don't want to pass this one up!
After decades of listening to this song, it still gives me goosebumps.
Love Dickey Betts. One artist I haven’t heard covered from the Deep South and knows his way around a guitar is Johnny Winter, and Highway 61 Revisted
Blue Sky is one of the desert island songs. Its a song i could put on loop and just never tire of it.
Warm sunny day, convertible top down, cruising the scenic state park with your favorite girl, with this song playing. So lucky to have been there and done that.
Duane Allman played on "Layla" by Eric Clapton's band Derek and the Dominos. This song was so big and so great I can't believe you haven't reacted to it. Must be remedied ASAP.
The entire Eat A Peach album is absolutely amazing. You seriously should do a full album react on it, as I think you do those for members.
This is one of the greatest songs ever!! I love the channel fellas!!! Keep it up!!! You guys kick ass!!! Cheers 🍻
This Album Eat A Peach is Incredible, 1 of my Favorite Allman Brothers Albums. A Couple more Songs From Eat A Peach are "Stand Back", "Melissa", & "One Way Out".
In memory of Elizabeth Reed is a jazzy blues instrumental and one of my favorite songs really show cases there musical abilities
One of the greatest "I'm not worthy!" moments of my life was meeting and talking with Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts after a concert in the early '80s.
Favorite song of all time. But really, they are probably my favorite band too.
GOOOOOOOD MORNING A&A FAMILY!

@John H Good Morning!
Broke down in tears right now. This has always been a "crying song" for me. This was my mother's favorite ABB song and I just lost her on Feb. 6th. As the song closed I could feel her holding me.
some of the greatest guitar work of all time in this beautiful tune, it's almost unfair! beautiful just beautiful...............one of my favourite songs of them all!!!!!
This song was written by Dickie Betts, and is a tribute to his wife who is a full blooded Indian. Her name is "Blue Sky". Now that you know that, please relisten to this song to get the true meaning out of it!!
Every time I hear the Allman Bros I picture myself driving along some highway on the way to somewhere far away for an adventure with a cold been in my hand and riding along just watching the mountains or trees or whatever is along the side of the road. Carefree and going somewhere new
