Born in Logan. Grandfather and Great Grandfather were coal miners. Used to love downtown Logan’s two movie theaters. Movies on Saturday and bowling on Sunday.
I LIVED IN OMAR. GRADUATED FROM LOGAN IN 1962. MY DAD WAS A COAL MINER. LOVE AND MISS MY HOME TOWN. MY BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE. SO MANY MEMORIES. GOD BLESS WVA AND THE PEOPLE. KEEP THE MINERS AND FAMILIES SAFE. GOD BLESS AMERICA 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I was born in Logan and lived with my grandparents at Holden 5 & 6 for a short while. My grandpa was killed in a mine accident in 1968 which was the first time I ever saw my dad cry. A lot of good memories from that time that I will not forget.
Several years ago there was a program on the History Channel about the Buffalo Creek disaster of 1972. It was narrated by someone from my home town of Mount Hope. His name is Jack Spadaro.
I live in Logan. You did really good on the video and info. Thanks to all you involved. I really liked watching it. I'm 35 and knew most of what you said but also learned a little. Thanks
Hi Pamela. it's funny you mention Henlawson. I haven't heard that name in years but my mom and my aunt who are from Logan talk about it often. I grew up in Ohio and I always thought it was such a funny name for a town but watching these videos and remembering my mom's stories of where she grew up is really special now that she's older.
Some GREAT history good and bad shown. I am going to look at a home on Century hill Rd. in Logan this weekend, how is that area for crime and flooding? House is BEAUTIFUL especially the inside from the videos

That's where I was born, New Martinsville. We lived in Middlebourne. We lived there until I was 12.
I don't think we should be honoring a man who has a Confederate flag at his monument.
Its not "honoring" a man, it is acknowledging what happed in the past. You cannot re-write history.
@@schs1977 it's honoring a confederate
Mom folks from Jeffrey & Man she was a Jeffrey and married a Vickers
