I lived in Logan in the 80s, it was a wonderful place back then.
Its still a wonderful place. It may be a bit down lately, but the entire state has so much potential.
That is a nice state park, will make it a point to visit there sometime, sad to see the neglected areas of Logan, but it appears the folks there are still trying to make it viable to visit. Thanks for sharing 😊
The state park was very surprising. They even have a lodge hotel there. The town had a lot of closing shops the last time I went through, but they seem to have been filled with new ones. I hope they can turn things around there.

I use to go there every year 50s threw the 60s. My moms family lived there
Love the music. What a lovely place. You know those red lines on that lighthouse are called day markers. They are red in snowy regions so ships can see them from a distance. Each lighthouse has its own signature lines
I didn't know that before, very interesting fact. That lighthouse is right on the border of the US and Canada in Lubec, Maine. It's a beautiful part of this Earth.
Country Roads Take Me Home
Well done and thanks for sharing. I love and miss the good old day's in Logan, WV. I recently sold my property there in Henlawson. A small community on the opposite side of the Guyandotte river from Chief Logan State Park. My family has deep root's there that started in Hartscreek, WV. You've brought to mind many memories. Again thank you😘

I was surprised by it too. Before coming to West Virginia I always heard the song about country roads, I never thought of where those roads would lead to.

Coal country is dying sadly it used to be big and there used to be a bright cultural tradition there but jobs went away like most small town America
Im hoping some new industries make their way into the state. Its a lovely place, maybe a bit down, but still a lovely place.

Anyone who thinks a lot of West Virginia is untouched is a damn fool. It's been continuously inhabited for thousands of years.
Untouched by a lot of tourism. People like to go through and reminisce about old times.

A lovely video. I've never been to Logan WV but my father owns a towing business in Logan OH and AAA used to constantly try give us calls in the WV town.
its funny how that is with American states. I have had so many people from South Carolina tell me that my video about Charleston isn't Charleston. They are correct that it isn't Charleston, South Carolina, but it is Charleston, West Virginia. Glad you enjoyed it, now you will have seen the town they are calling about lol

Great video, keep them up! Only one very small thing. You should look at getting a clip on microphone. I think they have some as phone accessories that run fairly inexpensive.
Yes, I have seen those microphones. I think most of them use a headphone jack, but I would need something that either has the lightning connection or USB C in order for it to work with the phone. I have been looking at either a proper recording unit with a livelier mic, or a good shotgun mic for later on.

The beginning is just an intro. I visit a lot of places, those were from Maine and Boston.
