Diane and her hubby paying the love forward with Scottish hospitality, love it 💚🏴
Still can’t believe it 🥹😭💙
The Scottish are very generous and kind. I've never understood why the English people call us 'tight' 'mean' 'miserable'.
We're really not.
Sshhhhh we can’t let the English know we are kind. 😂
Its not that they say,we say it,then surprise them when we are not👍🤣
I went down to London a few years ago and was charged £11 for a glass of wine (would have been about a fiver at the time in Glasgow) We're not mean, we're just shocked at the prices when we head south. Maybe that's why they get the wrong impression.
I am from Yorkshire and we are also known as being "tight" but, to us, that doesn't translate to being mean, but being careful with our money. One of my grandmas was from Scotland and I know that Yorkshire 'fowk' and Scottish people are the same in this respect.
What an amazing video. Kudos to Diane and her hubby for fitting the bill and showing you how Scottish people really are. Kind and hospitable. I smiled the whole vid. ❤
What a lovely couple 🎉. Can’t wait to be back 🤗
2022 was doing a survey for Scotrail,,,4 Asian guys from London had to come up ,,they were so impressed by the decency of the Scots (seems its a much tougher gig in London) 3 of them moved up with their families,,,,being a Scot living here again i sometimes take for granted what a truly decent bunch we are.
So true, Scots are generally good people but Eddy, you give off such a positive vibe, Id be surprised if you didnt get a good reception anywhere you went. Or as us Glaswegians would say, 'ye'd get a piece at anybody's door'. 😂😂
Happy Birthday to Diane and bless her generous Scottish ❤
💯 she is definitely not related to Tam Mullan from Still Game 😂
Tam would definitely hang on to Diane as his best friend. 😅
@@anitahargreaves9526 Anita 👏 😂 💯
The Scottish government spend millions on promoting tourism when all they had to do was promote your positive personality and your videos. Love you
I wouldn't be surprised if tunnock grabs him
Thanks for the lovely comment 🤩💙
@@Cainb420Yes!👍😀♥️
So true! Made me like it even more too😂😂🤣
Welcome to Scotland Eddy, maybe next time you'll come and see some of our beautiful countryside, take care ❤
Think he would love a hike through the Highlands. With a bag of tea cakes lol
@Cainb420 think he might need a few rolls on slice sausage before he tackles that lol
What a lovely couple Diane and her husband are, hope you had a wonderful Birthday Diane.
When they asked ¨where are you from?¨ you answered ¨I grew up in Ireland¨, you should instead say that you are Irish as thats your home. Great video and have subscribed
Our Eddy boy, you’ve got an infectious personality pal. Hope you enjoyed Glasgow, fantastic city. On your next visit we’d love to welcome you to the Kingdom of Fife.
You’ll see me in fife in the near future 🎉
YOU TRULY ARE ONE OF KIND EDDY IM SERIOUS LOL I DON'T THINK THE WORLD COULD HANDLE 2 OF YOU LMAO AND PLZ TAKE IT AS A COMPLIMENT 😂😅😂👍
Thanks Eddie 💙💙
I love his happy-as character !
Thank you for coming to my home town, Glasgow.
If you want tourism go to Edinburgh but if you want to meet people Glasgow is the only place to be.
Us Scottish are actually mostly nice people. Even when we get beat at football abroad, we still have a good party. I really like your energy and positivity Eddy. Thanks
Wow to the couple that paid the bill, world needs more people like them❤
The Pavilion is a theatre, Eddie. It's very much a go-out at the weekends kind of place.
Glad you have had such a lovely time! Glasgow sometimes looks rough around the edges but it’s such a friendly place - they always used to have signs up saying “People make Glasgow” and I think that’s spot on!
Love you energy such a sweetheart ❤
Thank you so much 🥳
Glad you had a great time Eddy. Scotland is such a wonderful place.
Your smile is so infectious 😊 amazing..your excitement is infectious too.
Yay! Thank you!
@Eddy Cheese , I see you found a Still Game filming location without realizing it . The statue at the beginning is that of former first minister Donald Dewar which stand in front of the John Lewis Department Store , which was the film location in Still Game where Winston was with Shug on the nightshift playing Boabies porn tape on the large screen .
So much love on here for you Eddy. Your approach is joyous. An honorary Scot 🏴 for sure.
Thank you so much 🤩
Loves this Eddy and I'm so glad you were treated right, people were nice to you and you are now an honorary Scot! Great video mate.
Thanks a lot. People were fantastic 🎉
XD The Scots want to fatten Eddy up. That was really sweet. Loving it so far!
I gained a few pounds in 2 days 🤣🤣
You are a joy to watch ❤
Thank you 🎉❤
Welcome to Glasgow, Scotland. I live 15 minutes by train to get to Glasgow and 1 hour from Edinburgh, Scotlands capital city. Haste Ye Back which just means hurry back. Take care 😘🏴
If you’ve never seen it, Eddy, watch ‘Two Doors Down’ which is a fabulous Scottish comedy 😂😂😂
Coming soon 🤩
Welcome home, Eddy! Glad you're enjoying Glasgow. God bless Diane and her hubby - happy birthday, Diane!!
I'm from Glasgow mate and you've earned yourself a new subscriber you're welcome back anytime.
Thanks mate, can’t wait to be back
Bless that lovely couple, what a sweet gesture by them, you lucky lad Eddy 😊
Btw, glad you avoided “Blue Lagoon” worst Chippy’s on earth, avoid it
That was where I tried my deep fried mars bar 😂
Eddy this was brilliant! You've got a real knack with your "Out and About" videos. Very entertaining ... give yourself a pat on the back ...!👌😊
Thanks Gary 🎉
Cafe Gandolffi is a great place, I've been going there for years. I took my sister there for the first time, on her birthday a few weeks ago and she loved it. The food is always amazing, if you do to back I'd recommend trying the caramel shortcake, it's very sweet and delicious, it's also huge! (I couldn't finish it and ended up taking half home to enjoy later) it's also worth trying their tea, they handmake their own teabags and they have a lovely unique taste.
I'm so glad you're enjoying your time here and love how excited and passionate you are to explore.
What a bubbly guy you are Eddy 👍
Eddy you shouldn't of gotten off at queen street station 😂 if you got off at bus terminal you only 5mins from Ur hotel😂 bus driver needs a slap..anyways bro glad Ur having a ball and Ur always welcome wor kid.🏴🏴
I had no idea 🤣🤣
Hi Eddy. So glad you enjoyed your visit to Glasgow! It always makes me happy when people have a good time visiting my home country. You packed a lot in to your visit. Maybe sometime you could venture further north and see more of Scotland. Anyway ... loving your channel. Keep doing what you do. You're brilliant! 🙂
Brilliant Eddie and welcome to Scotland from Rab in Glasgow 😀👍
Thanks Rab 🎉
You are a good man and a free spirit welcome to Scotland brother!
❤❤
So happy the weather has been great all week! 😁. You sound like me when I first came to Glasgow. There is definitely something special about the city.
The city embraces you 🎉🥳
Great to see the guy enjoying the people
So glad you had a good time, Glasgow people are the best!
3:00 "Ten pounds!" Ah Eddy, you're sounding more like us all the time :D £10 is definitely a tourist trap rip off price, that's nearing taxi money for a BUS ride 10 miles into town.
A Taxi to the city centre from the Airport is £30!
I was so shocked at first 🤣🤣
Pre-covid there were some other buses going to and from the airport, but they never brought them back after lockdown. I've had to get that £10 bus a few times - it's definitely quicker but it's such a rip off!! I met Donald Dewar but I was like 2 at the time so I can't remember! I've met another few First Ministers tho. Pavilion is a theatre, best known for Christmas pantos. If you want good fish and chips, avoid the Blue Lagoon! And Easyhotels almost never have windows in their rooms! Hope you get to visit Hampden as well as Ibrox and Celtic Park!
I was very surprised with the bus price but it was quick 🥳
Welcome to Glasgow 🏴
Brilliant video Eddie glad you enjoyed it !!! 🏴
Welcome Eddie, have a lovely time🥰 happy bday Diane
So pleased you enjoyed yourself. You'll have to venture further north another time on your travels. That breakfast looked fantastic and it was lovely of Diane to treat you ❤
Good to see you out and about in daily life, especially traveling. That part of Scotland seemed a bit rough at the start, but the people were lovely. Glad you had a nice time.
You kept saying "happy anniversary" but it was Dianne's birthday. lol 😄 She was really nice about it... They seemed like a very nice couple. Oh, it was good to see you without your hat on... That's the first time in over a year! You actually have hair... lol 😆
Glasgow was fantastic. The people were absolutely fantastic. You’ll definitely love it. I also ran into an American guy from IOWA who was doing a tour of the whole country 🥳
Aw so glad you had a great time in Glesga, Diane and her husband showing Scottish hospitality, love Glasgow for shopping please come to Edinburgh next time.
I’ll definitely be in Edinburgh soon 🎉
@@Eddycheeee Haste ye back Laddie😉
I used to work in the Pavillion. It's a theatre. It's where Mrs. Brown's Boys was 'spotted' and turned into a tv show. And Jimmy Krankie fell off a beanstalk during a pantomime.
Me too - a temporary job many years ago.
You would know Iain Gordon then? lol
@@margaretnicol3423 I've done many gigs at the Pavilion. Usually Sydney Devine or some such. Dorothy Paul often turned up at set up time.
@@alfiekelly5914 Yes. No further comment. lol.
@@alfiekelly5914 If I said Francie & Josie I'd really be showing my age, wouldn't I? 😀

As a Scottish guy in my 30s was in Glasgow today my sons football tournament was the semi final he scored 2 one assist they won 4.1 proud dad.. i also train bjj in Glasgow started of judo in my teens then sambo .. but now just two nights aweek train bjj now just to keep fit .. but yeah Glasgow can have a bad reputation but if you have the right vibe your not looking for trouble or drugs .. its safe everywhere has its bad area's.. but 🤷🏻 yeah Glasgow is fine if your there not looking for trouble.. and Birmingham i worked there when i was a teenager area mosley 😮 yeah it was ruff there but im 37 now two kids.. so was a long time ago but glad you had a nice day m8 ❤
Superb from Diane and her husband, true Glaswegian generosity, solid gold good folk. 🤓👍 . Loads of us here in this fine city 😁.
Happy belated birthday to that lady 👏 fantastic gesture.
A fkn tenner on the bus. 😳
😂😂
Yeah, but it is comfy, and it's quick
I detect an Irish accent. Glasgow is nice. The people are just built different socially. It also goes the other way. We don't hold back when we need to. All around salt of the earth people
He did grow up in Ireland
Scottish lass here, eat your crusts it makes your hair curly 🏴🏴
😂😂
Puts hairs on your baws 😅
If you smile at Glasgow then the Glaswegians will smile back. Hope ye enjoy yer stay wee man.💙👍
Had a lovely time 🥳🥳
That was terrific 👌👏👏🥳🥳So enthusiastic and cheery!🤗So glad you enjoyed your day here in Scotland❤We enjoyed it with you Eddy😘👏👏💖🌹🌹🌹
Free breakfast and greggs makes up for the £10 bus ticket
True 😂😂😂
Glasgow is one of the friendliest places in the world ! You can visit Glasgow feeling a bit low and down but you’re Guaranteed to leave happy and smiling there used to be a huge sign saying People Make Glasgow and it’s very true. My grandda used to say a true Glaswegian person would give you there last penny and do without themselves and I’ve found this to be very true. It’s a city I don’t visit nearly enough even though I live only one hour away . Great video Eddy 👍 Diane and her husband certainly showed some true Scottish hospitality. Brilliant.
That is so true. The people were extremely nice. I can’t wait to be back
That was great man. Reminds me so much of the good times in Glasgow my home, but I’ve been away for 5 years and missing it.
You need to go visit soon. It was amazing 🎉
Glad you had a good time 😊
Thank you 🎉
Highland Hospitality! Greetings from Stirling!
Hello there 🤩
@@Eddycheeee👋Hello Hello hello and I hope you have a great visit!
I'm from the US. I just found you a few days ago. You are adorable. Love to watch you😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much Mel 🎉
Eddy, in Scotland its a tradition to not pay for anything yourself so my mate says who never paid for a drink in his life. Have a great time
Is your mate “Tam” from Still game 😂
You're thinking of the Glasgow Film Theatre from the cinema episode of Still Game. The Pavilion is a stage theatre, the cast have done Q&A's there.
Oh I see, thank you 🎉
A North Derbyshire saying. "There's nowt wi't reyt folk". Translation 'There's nothing wrong with the right people'. Put yourself and 80% of Scots in that category..... Oh ah. WAWAW. What a rollercoaster day of football. Next week's going to be nail biting for Wednesday, City, Argyle and Huddersfield fans. Jeeeez. I wish all those fans well. But at the end of the day, I'm happy to sacrifice one group to save mine😂😂😂😂😂.
Your energy and enthusiasm is really infectious Eddy 😆 love this. Happy Birthday Dianne. 🥳🎂 🥰 🏴
The Pavilion is a theatre and has pantomimes at Christmas xx
Just discovered your channel yesterday, you have such positive energy and you seem like a very likeable person. Welcome to Scotland!
U should try Ayr, home of our famous bard Rabbie Burns & it has an amazing coastline with our very famous optical illusion, the electtic brae. Ayr & Ayrshire have lovely countryside too. U have such an amazing & warm personality & I'm now a subscriber. WATP!
Thank you so much. I’ll be doing a tour of Scotland very soon 🥳
Hi Eddy just watched this video and loved it . ur such a lovable character with a heart of gold I’m glad u had a great time in Glasgow I will be watching a lot more of ur videos as I’ve just subbed and what a lovely gesture from Diane and her Hubby and Happy belated birthday Diane . Take care Eddy ❤from Glasgow 😉👍
Thank you so much 🤩
You need to come to Edinburgh the capital the next time and it's not a tenner on the bus from the airport 💙
You are a breath of fresh air. Love your videos , glad you are enjoying Glasgow 😅
Thank you! 😃
"scared of the wee neds!" lmao
🤣🤣🤣🥳
All that walking and his hotel is 2 minutes away from Buchanan Bus Station. 😂
The map took me all around 🤣🤣
I once bought a blue lagoon chippy that was so rotten that I couldn't eat it, so I offered it to the sea gulls, and they refused it too. (Sorry, it wasn't seagulls, it was pigeons: just remembered.)
Loved the video Eddy ❤ 👍. Hope you managed to catch up on some sleep 💤
I’m still catching up on sleep 🤣
@@Eddycheeeeit was all that galavanting about! lol 😂
I've only ever been to Ben Nevis and Aberdeen, but you might want to check out Edinburgh Fringe festival-a comedy landmark for all comedians.Or the highlands for the stunning scenery.Talking of scenery, try Loch Lomond.😍 Great vid, looking forward to more.
Great video mate you have not even got 1% of my country...... go find it
13:33 be careful how you cross your knife and fork the X shape means there was something wrong with your meal
Oh wow, I thought I was been fancy saying I was done 🤣🤣
Loved this Ed what a guy glad you had a blast fella ya kept me spirits up today so thank you 👍
Thanks Ed, Hope you had a great weekend 🥳
@@Eddycheeee Cheers Ed you too man .. Happy days 👍
Excellent video Eddy! I arrived at Glasgow Airport 4 weeks ago and took a taxi to the West End. It cost £33!! The journey took 14 minutes. Outrageous. Glad you avoided the Blue Lagoon Chippie; good decision. In my experience, most rail and bus stations in the world are not the best areas and it’s good to spend as little time as possible in their vicinity. It’s a shame that the Bus driver didn’t advise you to stay on the bus until Buchanan Street; would have saved you a lot of time and wandering around.
Gandolfi is a Glasgow institution. So glad you went there and had a great experience.
Happy Trails……
Brilliant us GLASWEGIANS🎉🎉🎉
Always a joy to watch you, Eddy!
Sadly the airport is miles away away in Renfrew outside Glasgow ...WOW .... A Tenner to get to Buchanan Street Bus Station . Not Good For Good Visitors " HAVE A GREAT VISIT 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏴🏴🏴
( Billy Connolly used to use the Pavillion to do his comedy Acts ) Good Man Very Expensive Chippys 🏴🏴🏴
You are so funny.
🥳💙
Great video Eddy cheers for that one.👏👏👏👍🍻🍻
Scottish people are fabulous I love them
"slept like a baby" shit the bed and woke up screaming 😂
I was wondering what you looked like without the hat 👍👍x
Handsome 😂😂
@@Eddycheeee My thoughts exactly 😊
Glaswegian here, where you got off the train and walked up those steps IS a dodgy area for neds hanging around at weekends. The pavilion is a theatre which is still open. Are you still up here or have you left? I can suggest tons of places for you to visit 😊
I have just left. The area did look dodgy at night time but was so different during the day 😂
@@Eddycheeee ah, no worries, if you ever decide to come back let me know and I can recommend some cool places for you to visit. And yes, it is very different between night and daytime in the city centre in general, glad you enjoyed your visit 🙂
The Glasgow Pavillion is an old theatre that has live music and comedy. It got damaged by fire a few years ago but is open and running sgain. Awesome vlog !
Jeez…I got legit weepy when that kind couple paid for your meal out of sheer goodness of spirit. People can be truly amazing. Happy belated anniversary to the sweeties concerned. ❤️
Also I’m so glad you survived Castle Greyskull (Ibrox) intact. Hope you skedaddled out of there before your shoes burst into flames. That place is the Ninth Circle of Hell 🔥
The Donald Dewar statue is outside the Royal Concert hall which was depicted as Delaneys dept store in the Boaby's porn tape episode. The internal store shots were filmed just down the street in Frasers.
