The ship is the discovery, it was captain Scott’s ship which sailed to the Antarctic, the river Tay , the silvery Tay
Aye about 120 years ago was only sailed for 3 years if I remember. Was just down there Saturday. Love the front at night peaceful and on a warm night for a second feels like your in benidorm 😂
I've not long came across your videos and I love how you love Scotland so much. I'm just over an hour away in Falkirk, you should come up for a longer stay and visit the Falkirk Wheel and Kelpies then shoot through to Stirling and visit Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle then to finish off, as someone else mentioned, get yourself up to Loch Lomond, views are amazing and you would definitely love it!

Great video Eddy, I am actually from Dundee there are penguins all over the city as they relate to the ship you saw which is Captain Scott's ship which was built in Dundee and went to Antarctica and is now back home to it's birthplace. I see you went to the Dundee United game. You may have noticed another stadium across the road that is my teams stadium Dundee FC. They are the closest stadiums in the UK. Now as you know Dundee United got promoted so they are in the big league with us next season so I would suggest you come up for one of the derbies next season. Also you dipped out on walking up the Law Hill which gives 360 views of the whole city and beyond. Haste ye back.

I think the reason there's so many penguins about is to do with the Antarctic connection - which is the masted ship you saw when you came out of the station, Eddy. It's the one that Captain Scott and his party sailed there in, before embarking on a race to the South Pole in 1901 - and arriving there to find that their Norwegian rivals had got there first. They all literally froze to death on their way back again, hence the ship eventually came back, alone. The thing next to it that you asked about is the V & A museum, that opened about four or five years ago. There's also an Arctic connection mind, as way back before anybody had heard of jute or journalism - when to even think that a bridge the width of the Tay would ever exist, would have got you certified; and when all the housewives made their own jam - Dundee was a centre of the whaling industry; and I suspect these guys would have encountered quite a few penguins on their travels...

Think you need to give yourself a wee bit more time in places to explore more . Great video though I was feeling a bit low and you’ve certainly cheered me up 👍

You should have just gone in one of the many pubs you passed. Trades, Bank Bar, Ticketys etc would have had local food. Most restaurants will be Italian, Mexican etc. Haggis, steak pie, fish and chips etc would-be served in pubs
Glasgow central station has a hotel, the central hotel it's called. My cousin had her wedding reception there, it wasn't cheap either.

Just going on description in our letters. He said he was really tall with long hair and I said I am quite small and will be wearing a stripy jacket 😅 I have no idea why we didn't send a photo in advance . Obviously pre Internet and mobile phone stuff

Railway stations of a decent size used to almost all have hotels or at least a couple of rooms for people to stay in back in the day. If you had come into Glasgow Central when you came to Glasgow you'd have seen the Central Hotel on the same building as the Station

If you ever make it back you must go to the top of the Law Hill, you'll be astounded at the views of the whole city up there. I've travelled bit but that is quite unique.

It’s the largest loch in Perthshire and one of the deepest in Scotland.
Also the ship you see is HMS Discovery sailed to Antarctic in 1901 by Captain Robert Falcon Scott the 1st ever Ship designed for scientific exploration ❤
pretty much any coastal port on the East Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee,Arbroath,Aberdeen on the east coast major import export back in the old Tate and Lyle sugar etc etc
Dundee was also the central hub during war because of its geographical location and defence during ww2 Cupar Fife Scotland's secret underground bunker❤

Great wee vlog Eddy. I stay 16 miles north of Dundee and visit the city a few weekends a month. I go to Tannadice to see Dundee United, but couldn't go to the presentation match on Friday night. It was a brilliant game, Mon the Arabs! Glad you enjoyed Dundee, it's a fab wee city.

Im from dundee, i personally dont like it lol. I like going to american city breaks, or hot climate places. But i do like the waterfront especially when its darker. Should see it at night its 10x better especially when the big wheel is there slessor gardens on a hot night with the wheel looking out toward water it feels like universal drive in orlando. First time viewer loved this video and you ecstatic personality
