Check the neutral safety switch signals. There can be faults with the PIM. There can be issues with the slip ring (which I think you already cleaned?).
Much of the fault finding requires a bidirectional scan tool to see what is talking to what and an oscilloscope to see what the signals are doing.
You can download the factory manual with every pinout and plug .
    Always back probe.

You are on the money my friend… I’ve kind of narrowed it down to the PIM but I can’t seem to get a wiring diagram/manual for it even though I bought two separate ones on line. As I mention in part 5 the same faults keep recurring. So the next step I think I’m going to replace the PIM and see what happens…. Thank you so much for your input it means a lot and thanks for the support….

@@howtopete33 Josh from Joshes Car Corner covered some PIM details in his ECM conversion video. Not sure which one though.
Also if you go to Just Commodores, you’ll find a link to the genuine factory manual. I can’t post a link here.

Unplug the abs unit and see if it starts (of course warnings but try that before parts swapping more things.)

It was worth a try mate! I know on my one tonner the fans kick in really early, despite coolant temp, only when the A/C is on. Cheers for taking the time to make these vids. 👍
