Workout Skort…but make it ✨ROMANCE✨
Sometimes I like elevating a basic, but most of the time I’m just trying to live out my workout princess TSwift love story dreams.
I’m obsessed with fashion from earlier times because the silhouettes are so soft, feminine, and dreamy. What I truly enjoy is challenging myself and seeing if I can take a bit of the past and make it comfortable and functional enough for today’s active girl. Because if there’s one thing we know about women’s fashion throughout history - it had a tendency to restrict and limit mobility (think corsets) and comfort was not top of mind.
Anyway, here’s my latest @popflexactive creation! The 🩰Pirouette Skort🩰!

I have this theory that the women’s pant companies and purse/handbag companies are conspiring with eachother to get you to buy more bags so we have pockets for our pants 😂🤣. Which in result causes both companies to make more money and then they split the profits.

@@mikkey_ actually ballet if you're doing it in a company it is very torturous so I've heard I've never done it in a company but if you want to learn ballet I would recommend not doing it in a company and like getting trainers but never joining a company cuz there's so many things that you have to do and there's there's just so much when you're forced into a company
that's exactly what I was thinking! As a beginner ballerina I feel like it would be really comfortable but yet useful to appreciate the movement
@@basic2294 we don't even have ballet companies in my country and it's hard for someone my age to find where to learn it because the people usually start around the age of 5 or 6 and the academies usually don't accept above 13 yo, also it's hard to find personal trainers. I would really like to learn it but as i said it's likely not possible for me .😭
@@mikkey_ If you have internet access and think learning ballet would make you happy then watch some tutorials online and practise at home. You can teach yourself almost anything with internet access.

@@brownbop5617 from what I've heard and seen, professionals usually wear whatever they want, including baggy clothes sometimes. Plus, this is basically like wearing bike shorts and a skirt, so as long as wearing bike shorts are fine (which they probably would be in a professional setting), this should be fine.
@@Maria-mu4ol I know I can wear ballet clothes my sister is a professional and so was my mom. But ballet dancers have warm ups (baggy clothes) I know what professionals wear lol. But wearing a skirt like this during center seems weird. Because it’s not a dance skirt. More of active wear. My dance school has a large company and I have taken class with them. This skirt doesn’t look like something you would wear to ballet. ( a warm up maybe but not for the whole class)

@@majorpwner241 I bought something similar to this, but not hers. I love the pockets! When I walk I can place my phone in that hidden pocket (or a pocket 🔪😂). Hoodie is bulky and sometimes too hot. Although not sure if i would run in this.

Ready made fashion cannot be copyrighted, in fact there is literally nothing she can do legally, all ready made fashions are copied and recycled through various companies not just Shein (and I’m not supporting Shein their business practices in general are deplorable) but unless there was a big Logo on it that they copied there is nothing copyright able about ready made fashion. Now if it were an actual clothing pattern, like the kind Simplicity or McCall’s sells then absolutely the pattern can be copyrighted, and I would expect that those brands could potentially have a suit as I know of at least one design that Shein was selling was absolutely a copy of McCall’s M8252, which considering McCall’s pays actual designers some who are independent designers good money for their pattern designs (I suspect it’s a Mimi G design based on a number of factors) they absolutely could sue. But once again because Cassie is only producing ready to wear clothing it cannot be copyrighted.

I really like how you find solutions with clothing rather than design anything. Even though I have these issues, sometimes I don't have pockets in my leggings. Some are not right length or right fit.

So...im in love with this. I love the feminine being pulled into the fitness space. I feel like Serena Williams did it with the tutus for tennis and catsuit, but I love how this encourages women to keep their femininity in their fitness. I feel like when it comes to fitness it's so geared to masculinity, even how revealing some workout outfits can be. I know some women who feel some kinda way about their booty being on full display, but this provides enough cover for comfort I think. So i am a dancer and i do ballet and i was wondering if you could make a leotard bc they are so uncomfortable and are tight in all the wrong places but most of all so you don’t have to wear a bra with it? I need this short in my life. My mom used to make circle skirts, and I lived in them as a kid. It’s so nostalgic to hear the term and see your design that includes the high waist band. I’m in love- yes with your skirt!
I absolutely LOVE your designs! Your absolutely amazing. Small request though if your up for the challenge. I am a swimmer but I've always struggled to find a good sports swimsuit that I rlly like. Also any swimmer knows how much a swim cap that DOESN'T LET WATER IN would be a life saver. I know it's a bit different than what your usual designs consist of, but I think it would be rlly cool to have some swimwear of your design!
purpose of the cap is not to keep you dry, but to keep your hair out of your eyes and streamline you head.
I know, but I have really long hair, and it can be really time consuming to wash it every single day, so a swim cap like this would be a life saver. Just my opinion.
The only option I can think of for the swim cap that keeps your hair dry would be a rubber one
Tho I personally preferred the fabric ones bc the rubber hurt my head, so idk if that's an option for you or not
I think it’s a good idea! I am a swimmer too. The point of a swim cap is not to keep your hair dry but my team says that hair wears you down and gets in your face and is swirling everywhere. Other than that I agree. I also have long hair too and it is pretty annoying ngl!
