He probably did but when you work over a flattop or deep fryer long enough you stop noticing the splatter. Edit: it also scars the skin down your forearms giving you a salami look. I don't recommend eating or cooking fast food
IDK if the joke flies by these commenters but George Motz often burns himself on his appearance in FWF videos, it's almost a tradition. The fact that he didn't on this short is a glitch in the matrix
Once I started making them I haven't looked back... really simple you just have to use thinly sliced onions and I prefer Vidalia onions or Texas sweet onion, but if those aren't available then yellow over white or Red any day of the week. A little mustard and some dill pickles and oh man I started making some sounds like George does when I bite into one while it's hot and the cheese is melty goodness with the onion
@@Carl_McMelvin , obviously you have not partaken in the way it's prepared or appreciated it's historical significance as to why it's been around for so long and why people try to replicate it with the highest standards in places... what a moronic comment and conveniently for you, as you have probably never have never indulged in such a way that you could possibly relate as those who have been groomed in the cuisine of the Oklahoma onion smash burger ( I prefer mine with some onions and dill pickles but my son loves his straight up). Experiment and decide what you love the most, but don't knock it until you have tried it ❤️👍💯
Because of Mr. Motz I discovered that i love flat top/cast iron smash burgers way better than grilled. I made the Oklahoma Onion Burger a few times based on his videos and it can't be beat!
Inspired by this and tonight made my first oklahoma onion burgers, not quite geo. motz style, but inspired by the man. Plus a little cowboy kent rollins, because I home made the buns and added some chile rejellenos, and did the whole thing on the BBQ/steel. TASTY! Thanks for the inspiration!
That is one tasty burger. I just made them for the family. All the chit chat at the table began to die down one by one as everyone tucked into that burger. George you will be lauded for centuries for bringing this Oklahoma gem to the forefront. Thank you isn’t quite enough.
I used to eat at a little burger joint in Detroit, about 40 years ago, called Motz hamburgers, on Fort Street and Livernois. Best onion smash burgers ever.
That smoke and steam from the paper thin onion gets into the bun too. All I had was pepper jack cheese on hand but it may have taken it to another level with the spicy kick. This burger is blue ribbon capable 😛
I worked for white castle on the side for a little extra. The technique is very similar steaming the bun soaking up the juice. A couple of pickel slices. Pretty similar
Thankfully there’s been huge advancements in technology in the last couple of decades, you are able to do so by just leaving your phone on this short .
The burger is so perfect. Easy for assembly line fixing. The taste is spot on. Maybe a few pickles and a squirt of mustard. But you take one bite, and you are instantly transported to a state fair, or a local sprint car race. It tastes like America.
The dish is just a smash burger with onions. How is that different to every other smash burger in the world? Is that where smash burgers were invented or something?
He has so much pride and love for his work
He’s dead meat inside
You’re assuming a lot here David..

This man sounds like how a burger would if it could talk.
I think it would Moo
best comment
Get yourself a girl that looks at you like George looks at his finished burger.
The bun flip that he does at the end is butter smooth
It's about time you posted more Motz! 🍔
Wish he had a regular channel
You can tell he’s in love with burgers by the look in his eyes, it’s amazing
And he didn't get burned once. I didn't think that was possible.
😂
You don't know that.
He probably did but when you work over a flattop or deep fryer long enough you stop noticing the splatter.

I love how passionate this dude is it’s not about how much you make it’s about your passion I’ve meet people that have millions and are not happy
One of the dumbest things I’ve ever read.
I live here in beautiful Oklahoma and this guy has done a pretty fair job of representing our favorite lunch time product the onion burger
I swear this is the best freaking burger on earth.. I've had plenty of smashburgers but the Oklahoma is king
I need to try one.
@@ThyAsianManmake one yourself it’s quick and easy. 10/10 would recommend

It’s a burger with onions. There is nothing special or unique about it. 😂

One of the most delicious burgers there is, and among the least complicated too.
It actually isn't that easy to make.
This man is literally " the burger King ".
Great video, it's like seeing him in his natural habitat

Simple ingredients amd cooking method, but makes the most amazing burger known to man

I can't help but to think of the scene in the movie Twister when I read "Airborne Beef."

Just tried these with some pickled onions added on top as well. 🤤 Incredible.
As someone who is a huge fan of caramelized Vidalia onions and potato buns and smash burgers, this looks absolutely PERFECT
Randy would be having a field day.
1 burger per park resident. those are my PERSONAL burgers
@@sofaking2743 Man’s gotta eat..
Everything I see burgers and George in the same video my day just lights up
Best Oklahoma fried onion burger. I used to go to Roberts Grill in El Reno and they have one of the best fried onion burgers in town in Oklahoma.
I used to eat at a little burger joint in Detroit, about 40 years ago, called Motz hamburgers, on Fort Street and Livernois. Best onion smash burgers ever.
I love the fact that you scraped the grill and got all that flavor on each burger before completing the bun.
Absolute sorcery 🧙♂️ ❤
I think I’d cry tears of joy to try this burger
Motz out there livin' his best life ✌️
That quality camera is better than my eye sight
Had one it Okc at tuckers… Best burger ever.
Lol I ate at Tuckers this past Monday. There's one a mile up the street from my office near Edmond

I've seen enough videos of people doing this...next time I do burgers I'll try it...looks goood
Pinch and pull method is effective for scratching certain itches as well.
Wow that looks great
Ahaha the eyetalian gesture at the end deaded me
He changed gloves after adding the onions, right?
It haunts my dreams too Brother 😢

Awesome video
I love learning the little culinary tricks these videos share, like letting the buns absorb the airborn grease.
Every man's best friend 🙌
Looks great bro
Now this is what I call that good good.
"the airborne beef and onion grease"
I like that😂
Love this guy!!! Burger Master Master Burger
The man, the myth, the legend.
Tried one of these at the Nyc location last week! So good
Looks good 🤤
I could watch him make burgers all day

Steve Martin making burgers now
Bro he's like doc from back to the future but got burgers
Handling raw meat and then grabbing the buns with the same gloves is insane
Shesh a double stack of these would be amazing we need this style in La

I made one lastnight! Now ima make one tonight too!
Anyone else see the onion making a smily face?
I guess I'm going to have to save up my money to fly out to Oklahoma to try out that burger you make it look so good
How bout this; smash some white onions into some ground beef in the comfort of your own home. Will save you hundreds.
It's the real food version of white Castle, yum!
Man... those look so delicious!?
It's the Motz!! Is what i would probably say if I realized i actually saw him in person.
Never knew there were so many ways to make a burger.
He just opened up a new spot its pretty good
I dream about visiting his restaurant in NYC
Sooo good
George is a god!
Real life Burger King!! 💯% 👌
Love the vids especially since he looks like someone melted Dr. Emmett Brown and Johnny Knocksville into 1 Person
THANK YOU
Yummy! American cheese! That stuff has one ingredient that actually is in there to keep the slices separate. Do enjoy!
I want them all
I wish I had one of those burgers
This is Biff if he turned his life around and left Marty's family alone lol

The only thing that makes it an Oklahoma onion burgers that it’s cooked in Oklahoma they’ve been around for ages
Any onion lover is creaming rn
Are you here?? I live in oklahoma city
Looks good to me, personally I like a theta onion burger
Now he serves them exactly the same way at his new restaurant in NY 👌
A full size White Castle? I’m in.
Nah like White Castle if someone actually cared about the food, made it full sized, and the ball and smash technique matters.
I watched this twice before I noticed there was text on the screen and drool on my shirt
I respect the gloves 👍
He is like the American voice actor Sean for Goku...but for burgers
It's my favorite burger. I just add some pickles.
bro i know he is the burger god but those where done well. look at the onion placement. he knows better.
And He's Not Taking A Bite, Because..........? 😂🤣😂😆👌🌞😎
Simplistic burgers are the best burgers. I don’t need every condiment and arugula to have a good time.
