    little bit of negativity here, this surprises me to be honest. its an excellent piece of kit. price is irrelevant because it will pay for its self. if you made two legs that's at lease 8 clamps needed, you could make 50 legs clip together wipe off the glue and your done. and as for price most of us sit here watching with a £1000.00 phone just because we pay for it over 24 months its ok, but spend that on a tool that earns money from the moment you buy it they go its expensive. if it works for you that's all you need. biscuits, pocket screws and leave for an hour to dry verses get on it straight away its a no brainer.

      Iphone 12 max pro after a year is worth so much less than this machine , this machines saves time and that makes you money.

    The zeta is the best investment ever. Regardless of what application you are using it. I used a Tenso once to hold an angle tight on a decking hand rail. The negativity is not necessary just because you can't afford one 😉😂

    Nice video mate - the Zeta is amazing saves so much time on all aspects of the job and soon pays for itself and the cost of the fittings becomes irrelevant. Really recommend the second fence if you get into angled work and the P14 Biscos they’re great for alignment on long glue ups.

      Yes mate... its working like a dream so far... i was under the impression the second fence was the one that comes with the kit... that you see me using on the face cuts into the mdf.???

    Certainly look a good tool and a bit out of my price range.
    Just a thought but couldn't you get away with 3 fittings (or even 2) rather than the 5 to save on cost and time especially with wood glueing anyway.

    It really does look a great machine, but think I would go with the domino if I had the choice, are the fitting exspensive?

    • @lowesjoinery3031
      @lowesjoinery3031  Před 4 lety

      It is mate.. i don't think the domino to a self clamping fitting do they.??

  • @ChristopherClaudioSkierka

    hi, for such a long line would you not consider using biscos too? they are cheaper and you probably only need 3 of the tenso?

    Trying to decide on the Lamello and was wondering if you had any thoughts on it since this video?

    My Zeta P2 broke after 80 conetors cut.... have to send it to be fixed

    Looks like it actually makes job longer and harder than just a biscuit but then you said it does require clamps ect so if you can fly through more then cool but I imagine the bits used are pricey ?
    Good video making too by the way

      The extra few mins it takes to cut the slots.. is more than outweighed but the clamp time etc... definitely a great investment

    After using the zeta p2 for a few years you'll soon realise the tenso fittings are costing more than the radiator covers you're making! The fittings are great, but wasted on this

    • @lowesjoinery3031
      @lowesjoinery3031  Před 4 lety +3

      I carnt see how you can say that.? If there factored in to the price and im making money then surely there not wasted.??? Just because its not a 3k built in wardrobe or alcove .??

    • @bespokedfurniture
      @bespokedfurniture Před 4 lety +2

      Thats true, I only charge around £180 for a standardish size rad cover. The tenso's are great but they are wasted on this, i use them with standard biscuits on long joints like this so you can reduce the amount you need to use. Or i use k20's.
      The tenso's are great for mitred joints 👌

      I didnt mean for my comment to come across as abnoxious 🙈 I just read it back to myself!

    • @angelaslaney1514
      @angelaslaney1514 Před 4 lety +5

      Exactly! A radiator cover will be painted so brads from an air-nailer to hold while the glue sets would save £5 a pop. I have a Zeta P2 and would never use it for an application like this. As Bespoked (etc) say Tensos are great on long mitres.
      Also watch your fingers. A couple of times you had a finger on the back edge of the board you were holding vertically whilst cutting. If you ever have the depth setting wrong the cutter could burst out - so don't get in the habit. Try putting the board flat on the bench edge and using the Lamello in a vertical position pushing down into the board. You can hang your reference fence over the edge of the bench.

      @lowesjoinery3031  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes mate noted about the cutting position.. wss silly and ill be editing it out for safety reasons.. use the it in a vertical position now so all good... regards the fitting I still stand by my decision they speed my process time considerably so all my costs are covered and outweighed.. i could pin it yes i could also clamp them there is many ways to skin a cat each all have there advantages and disadvantages cost , time etc... i carnt see how they can be wasted if money is being made and time is being saved ... im happy so far so ill just keep plodding on..
      Really appreciate your comment tho.. thanks 😊
