- The 90's were a wild time and this particular Winchester 1300 Defender carries some pretty iconic parts from the decade. Let's look at it and talk about what my next plans are!

Glad to see I’m not the only 80s-90s doorkicker gun enthusiast
Its the Duke Nukem 3d shotgun
I want a Winchester 1300 Defender to LARP as Duke Nukem from Duke Nukem 3D
Pistol grip, pistol grip forend, heatshield, and laser engraved Duke's Nuke Logo on the receiver
I have one minus the logo engraving, it's so worth it :D
Datz Right !!!!
Dude that’s the reason I looked up this shotgun and came to this video
I just got one ! never been shot and has everything you listed and a sling :)
Great memories , My buddy had one of these he kept it in his truck ... Yes he blew up ALOT of empty beer cans with it over by the pond 😆😆👍👍
I've known a fair share of people who still recommend the 1300 series, they're cheap and reliable and have some of the weirdest 80s 90s mods for them.
Also the russians too loved the Winchester 1300 series and even used parts of it for the earliest KS-23 prototypes.
Nice boomstick Booligan.
I've got the same fetish for tactical firearms. Looking for the Mossberg 500 Bullpup.
Those old bullpups are so rad. Just a box with a barrel.

Love the old school "Futuristic" designs of the 80's & 90's
@@Crangaso same, like the Muzzelite MZ-14
Many years ago I picked up a barrel-less action for an FN Tactical Police Shotgun, which was just a rebranded 1300, and swapped the original 5-round tube for an 8-rounder. Let me tell you that is NOT an easy task, it took a very long time with a very large hammer to get it to fit in, and it's still not flush with the receiver. I just gave up trying to make it fit perfectly. Doesn't always want to run right, but... it was a $25 project gun, I'm not too sad.
Take it to a Smith. You got the parts.hell will prob fit it for 100 bucks . Then you got a 125 dollar riot gun
I'm pretty sure that vertical foregrip was made by Mesa Tactical. I used to see them in their advertisements back in the day.
I had a Defender 18 inch back in the early nineties. Harvested a deer with it, then traded it in on a Remington 870, 14 inch.
MUCH handier in the woods. Thanks for the video!
there was a company named Knoxx Industries out of Paso Robles CA that made a badass stock for the 1300, the stock was skeleton frame coated in rubber that folded over the top and it had a pistol grip with a recoil spring built into it, the receiver slides back a bit over the pistol grip when fired, makes slugs feel like bird shot
I have one that I picked up back in 96 . It doesn’t have the stock but has the pistol grip. I have it right next to my bed for home defense. I’ve only fired it 1 time since I bought it back then. I believe they discontinued them some time ago. I read up on them that they have the fastest action out of all shotguns. I could be mistaken though.
I have a 1300 black shadow turkey with the works...8+1, sidesaddle, ATI full grip stock and short choate foreand and it is wayyyy smoother than all my dad's shotguns. An 870, a 500a1 tactical, a Mossberg 835 3.5" and his 500 bullpup. If I dry fire, I can work the action holding only the rear grip.
@@disturbedlife5691they are great guns
Cool!
Looks like you may be able to modify and shorten that foregrip tube to make the reach less ridiculous.
Absolutely stunning 😍
It's Duke nukem's shotgun and that's what counts !!!
Those Mossberg 500 bull pups are bucket list guns for me or the Muzzelite Ruger Mini 14s
Still have mine from over 20 years go, I think it was just under $200. new back in '97. Great gun and never had an issue with it. Mine has no stock just a pistol grip, was just thinking of seeing what stock options are out there to switch it up some.
You could trim the back end of the plastic forend tube and extend the threads on the metal pump tube to reduce the reach to the front grip. Based on how much of a bother changing the magazine tube is on the 1200 through 1500 models I'd recommend buying another one to SBS. (It might cost about the same as buying the parts for the conversion, they were cheep guns last time I checked.)
Duke Nukem wants his shotgun back.
Oh gnarly. Cool
Do you or can you make a Ruger MK IV frame, standard and 22/45? I know they are in high demand, I've been looking for a long time for them.
i'm a sucker for pump action shotguns with foregrips, they just look so cool
I MIGHT try to design a new foregrip in a similar aesthetic that is moved back a few inches to make it more comfortable, and to possibly eliminate the free rotation.
@@booliganshootingsports bet it would look really cool. Even if you added a heat shield i would say. Love your vids!
@@lololopez503 I have the heat shield, laser, both pistol grips and sling. just got it and never been shot before !!
Cool shotgun.
Once you go over a handful more shotguns you gotta do some clay shooting with them! I love playing around with unconventional shotties especially doing something they were never meant to do.
Seeing that rotating forward grip makes me wonder how a pistol could be attached to a shotgun. 2 guns in 1 could be very useful lol. Maybe lazer or lazers for the pistol/f.grip, for more of a precise shot.
Good decision on the pre serial mossberg
The forward grip was manufactured by ATI Outdoors.
It’s a Choate foregrip.
My bro is buying one with pistol grip for 400$ in excellent condition. He said its super magnum if thats a thing hahaha I own a stevens savage 77c and its beautiful, i love mine
This screams for a Duke Nukem conversion
Two words: Duke Nukem.
I wouldn't exactly call the 1300 a common shotgun unless you're talking about the field models, but they're still pretty good shotguns nonetheless
They made almost 2 million 1200/1300 models over 40 years. They’re super common.
@@booliganshootingsports Yeah, the field models are. I was referring to the defender and riot models since you find way less of them than the field / hunting ones. Hopefully that clears up the confusion lmao
Isn't this the Duke 3D shotgun
Got the exact gun with dual pistol grips. I reckon mine is a.different bramd because they look a little different. I'm gon a put original defender furniture on it
. its the only shotgun I own. And I dont feel the need for another. It's SLICK. its FAST. And reliable
They honestly did such a good job with the action, it’s much smoother than it has any right to be.
@@booliganshootingsports best thing about mine is it was a gift.
First! Love the content!
Cool
Isn’t this the shotgun from uhhhh
duke nukem?
Believe it or not I just got one never been shot before !!
Pick up a 1200 Riot model barrel. Should sort you out if you want to SBS it.
Ribs on everything bro
Ribs on ribs on ribs
I think you're missing a spring. Should be 2 with a a thick washer in between.
well rubed
God I had one of those horrible stocks for a High Standard K121 (Mossberg clone) absolutely HORRIBLE stock. But I love the 90s era vibes on it
Nothing quite like the recoil absorbing properties of solid steel with a few millimeters of rubber applied, lol
Duke Nukem !!
Resident Evil game aesthetic
You enjoy suffering? That stock is the definition of pain.
Do you really want a range toy or money pit project in these questionable times? Houge short stock set, Esstac shot cards, L&M light mount w/ an LED tactical light & a tritium Big Dot sight. You’d get the most out of it w/ that set up. They also run the short shells effectively.
Cool
🔫
I saw S.W.A.T. being filmed.
4th
He didn't even shoot it 😒
weird gun
