I think it's the soundguy's fault, the laughs seem so consistently only a small portion of the room unless she gets loud so probably it's that only few people can hear her for most of it. My guess anyway.
Liface it's just the sound ( directional mic), look at the audience faces exposed teeth smiles raised eyebrows they are enjoying it, but they may be recording directly off the mic she's using rather than remixing for the video ( common in live shoots minimal gear/team)

She is the only comedian that has the guts to share the internal monologue (we all have) with us.
She's too subtle and fluid for most people, who need you to crash the cymbals and honk a horn to let them know where the jokes are.

She once said that she has the same queavering voice as her mother and sister. As she is a voice actress, I think she chooses the one she grew up with for her everyday life, or shit would get very confusing very fast

She can only do the lower pitched "normal" sounding voice for so long - as it puts a strain on her throat.

COMEDY AT IT'S BEST. ahead of its time, super authentic, love her so much. lady dynamite is EXCELLENT as well. and as a collab with arrested development's mitch hurwitz it became a kind of arrested development in an alternate universe 2 decades later. brilliant!

I love her. While I was surprised, the audience didn’t seem to laugh much, I also find myself just listening and looking at her mesmerized by the things she’s doing and saying, sometimes you forget to laugh. She’s incredible. If you haven’t watched her sitcom, Lady dynamite, on Netflix, you’re missing out.

I've always had the biggest crush on her. Side note, as hilarious as she is, it's also pretty funny to pay attention to the camera trying to keep her in center frame as she likes to sway back in forth.
