Does it really need to be retractable? A spring loaded retraction system means weight, means it has to be metal, so it can have enough retraction for the friction of an air hose. What if it were a plywood reel that you crank by hand? it's still pretty convenient and much lighter weight? Brad

The air needs to flow continuously. Most manual coils require unplugging to coil and uncoil.
