@jessicag630 Hello! How are you doing today? And how’s your Christmas holiday going?
thx
Ur the goat
9:18 Toight Balls
Two days of hard work.
No one can possibly complain about not having a stand mixer because if you can afford the ingredients for this dinner, you can easily afford a stand mixer 🤣
I think it’s affordable if your only making this once or twice a year
i dont even know what half of these ingredients are tbh
@@sanciston no work areas moment ;-;
If you can afford truffles you can afford to buy a house too
Someone had a great Black Friday week sale on the KA stand mixer. I think it was BB&B. If you watch, you can find good deals. I don't use mine much, but it is great to have when I need it.
The fact that he says the actual measurements of each ingredient instead of saying "garlic, salt, etc." is awesome. Mad respect because he knows that anyone who makes one of his recipes will be very inclined to purchase the cookbook to make every single one of them.
He even gives both American measurements (cups, tablespoons, etc.) and rest of the world measurements (grams, milliliters, etc.)
Just running off with the bread rolls is relatable asf.
Hey Ace 👋. how are you doing? You actually took the words right from my mouth. Are you very active on CZcams? Do you make your own videos?
@@RafaelAmayay
Creep vibes
anyone else expected the whole crew to sit down and have a feast?
A rib roast tradition is one of those life goals
For real. I can’t afford a rib roast and majority of people I know can’t afford it either
I can get a 4lb rib roast for $30-40
@@og805kanker $10 per lb? Where do you live?!
@@stevenpham9117 We buy ours AFTER Christmas (when on sale) and make it for New Years. :-)
@@bonnieparkertheoutlaw7353 In Chicago, they always go on sale week before thanksgiving and Christmas for like $6 a lb at all the local grocery stores.
Cant imagine the amount of work put into this video. This is awesome! Merry Xmas m8!
Totally agree! I thought for 20 min, we'd be seeing just a "teaser" of an eventual longer video. But he packed it all in (pun intended) like a boss. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!!!
Love the Gojo profile pic m8. can tell u have culture
I was just wishing you made one of these! Was about to start my prep for Christmas dinner.
I ASKED FOR IT IN THE LAST VIDEO
We love you papa❤
❤❤❤

Kendrick appreciating the snickerdoodle was a really nice moment. I love people that stand by their favourites. 🥰
Love that you put us back in cabinet for the intro!
The story of Joshua’s multipurpose bread is one of my favourite Christmas novels of all time.
This would take me a week and a half to finish.
I'd need a month in advance 😂😂😂
Would love a series where you posh up traditional meals, like see your ideal steak dish or your ideal chicken dish
Ideal turkey baked in the oven--
Ideal mashed potatoes
Kendrick is my spirit animal! Snickerdoodle cookies RULE
Ah, no🙄
(said with gentle effect)
As much as I really like Snickerdoodles-- those Fabulous Chunky Chocolate Cookies are da Bomb Bru!
Seriously they're hilarious especially when he tried the fried chicken Josh made 😂😂
Yessss!
Kendrick judging Joshua's Snickerdoodle cookies was my favorite moment 😂
17:36 so nice of Josh to shout out smaller chefs like that!
Just got your cookbook for Christmas! I am so excited to read it and even more excited for any more that'll come out < 3
Can we just all appreciate the work that went into physically and with the voice over work just to show us all how its done we thank you PAPA
As a Spaniard who actually has tried your recipe for Patatas Bravas (It's in his book) I gotta say that they're delicious but they lack some spicy to it. You can ad a teaspoon of hot paprika along with the sweet one or even fry a cayenne pepper with the diced onion and garlic. That will make this recipe more similar to the actual Patatas Bravas you can eat here in Spain.
My girlfriend is Spanish and as far as I’m aware shouldn’t it be like a garlic aoli instead of just plain mayo with the bravas sauce? I’ve never had it with just plain mayo, the garlic is so much better
@@lachlantaylor1225 Yes, and there's also that. All i oli is heavily prefered over plain mayo (or at least in my opinion LOL).
You can find many variations of this dish depending on which place you order it. But Patatas Bravas should have at least a little bit of spicy to be "Bravas".
Can you make an extreme recipe that is super fancy and has all the frills that we can do at home for super important occasions?
yes!!
Like this recipe
Bro this is literally every Josh Weissman recipe ever
Look up jules cooking on YT
@@GourmetNinj4 Except not really. A good grip of his recipes are pretty fundamental and basic. Ya'll are just uncultured lol
One of the many things i love about Josh is that he turns all expectations upsidedown, and that make my brain start to dream up what else i could do to personalize it. For a very disabled broke person, i think i'll start with the apples, add just a few cranberries and booze it up. And im going to try chicken or pork wellington... Might not work, but we'll see! But making them small like that is brilliant! All of this looks amazing
i genuinely love this. so many different dishes inspired from all over the world. a lot of diff techniques. amazing video.
The rolls are easily the best I've ever had, I tried the variation you did for your Thanksgiving video, and will absolutely be trying this one next. And listen to what he says about the sugar, seriously, it's essential!
Papa really taking care of us for the holidays this year
Definitely love this type of vid. I know all the basics but would love more complex fine dining fusion recipes so I can sharpen and test my skills.
All of this looks amazing! 😍 Happy Holiday’s Josh! 🎄❄️
omg that looks great. i kinda envy your crew being able to taste test all of this
This looks amazing!
Best Christmas story ever...we love you papa
I really enjoyed this episode. Thanks for the good content and showing it down a little for us old folks
YAY I’m so excited thank you for the holiday guide!!!!
Grandpa shaking his fist - I ain't never seen so many gol-dang flavors I've never even heard of, especially at Christmas!
Kids now-a-days!
I picked up two copies of the book. One for a gift and one for myself. Made the cookies last night and they are fantastic. Tonight I am making tomato soup and grilled cheese. Looking forward to learning more from you!
His kitchen is beautiful 😍
Just got your cookbook last night! Merry early Christmas to myself! Super excited to test out some of these bad boys, Papa! ✌🏻😆🎉❤
Papa has more faith in me than my real father
Hahaha
Right???
My friend..
I done the rolls and they turned out awesome! For an 8x8 pan divide the recipe by two thirds and it's almost perfect (with two spare). Thankyou Josh this will be my new year's party gift
This is easily my favorite video of josh ever. Can definitely see myself cooking all this for my family
I made the spinach/artichoke dip today and it was amazing! I just added some red pepper flakes to add a bit if kick- the kind that you don't really notice as spicy but makes you keep coming back for more. Loved it!
Did you use jar artichokes? Or cook your own? I have never heard of nor seen many of the ingredients Josh uses in recipes.
@@bonniemeads6056 I used Jared ones
Thanks Josh, this all is so freaking amazing!
I like to think Joshua as a specific cupboard that he talks to the viewers through and keeps us in.
Standing rib roast is always the move. When done right, it’s so good and it’s always a hit at Christmas dinner. I like the Wellington twist. Gonna try this out.
I am going to say it, but Josh knows how to make the Ultimate Christmas dinner and from the looks of it, he does not disappoint. Happy Holidays, Josh!
you mentioned Gordon Ramsey and I ABSOLUTELY need a collab between you guys. It might be too much culinary power in one place though and may throw the universe into chaos
My joint favourite cooking channel along with, "Sorted Food." 👍
this is art🙏 thank you for blessing us again we love u
Nice recipes. I love the spiral pickles. Thanks and Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah!
The Christmas story in the beginning almost took me out 😂😂😂😂 we love you papa, happy holidays
Great stuff Josh. I love the but faster series. Have you ever thought about a "but easier" series for make ahead, meal prep, freezes we'll and reheats easily, type stuff?
wow! I probably make this recipe for this coming christmas! Thanks
I hope you meant 69C on that short rib and not 69F since its room temp 😅
I think you meant 69 degrees Celsius? At 2:30
Merry Christmas Everyone🥳
Thank you Joshua for the best prime rib roast recipe ever!!! I felt so confident serving Christmas dinner and my family enjoyed it :d
You should make the ideal New Year’s Eve dinner
Can you please try to make a danish christmas dinner? Rødkål, flæskesteg, and, brun sovs and brune kartoffler.
Good job josh highly pleased definitely will be trying this. Can’t wait to get my book.
The commentary of the cooking is what makes me watch the whole video 😂😂 looking forward to seeing the new ideas
10:35 it's so satisfying to listen to you just talking about measuring ingredients.
@elllaa_a Hello! How are you doing today? How is your Christmas holiday going?
If Papa Josh made dinner for me for Christmas I would probably 1:08
Dear Josh, I thought I was in love with Uncle Rodger, but I never really knew what love was until watching your entertaining but amazing Christmas Dinner video. Now I have a new man chef to stalk for 2023! Definitely trying the potatoes and the cucumbers as well as the rolls. RIP Green Bean Casserole!
How it's possible, everything you make looks so delicious, so good and gorgeous!
The beef short rib wellington is a great idea. I am going to try it out next Christmas Eve party in 2023. The prime rib is umami goodness right there too. Thanks for sharing this knowledge and recipes you have for the perfect Holiday dinner.
I usually get very anxious when cooking because a lot of recipies just tell me to "add a bit of salt" or to "use assorted mushrooms" and your recipies are precise by leaving no ambiguity whatsoever. Thank you for introducing me to cooking and thank you for making it so accessible to beginners such as me.
A bit confused here; In both the website recipe and the video it shows/says 69F for the sous vide temp, but the sous vide display is up at 156F. Am I just dumb?
Yeah I was looking at that too. Thought I was going crazy not seeing other commenters bring this up
@@andrewvanbezooijen5181 Papa posted an update in the comments here: "Hey guys temp for the short rib bath should 69 degrees CELSIUS which is 156 Fahrenheit. My mistake! Hope you all have an amazing Holiday"
Hats off to you, JW. That looked like a ton of work and it all looks incredible. 👌
Dude I just wanna say you've been a huge inspiration to me while going through discovering my love for the culinary arts. I recently lost a really close loved one and it's been very hard on my family for the holidays; but getting to cook incredible food for them has been a huge blessing. You're an artist, and, as a fan, I appreciate you bringing your gifts to the world. Your recipes are always a fan favorite of my Nana, so thank you for helping me plan holiday meals ❤
Gonna take a Crack at the Artichoke dip, wish me luck!
Also just realized I'm not subscribed, fixing that now
pretty sure he meant the Sous Vide is set to 69 celsius not fahrenheit
Yeah 69 Fahrenheit would not be safe
Thought the same thing. Otherwise that’s just room temp 😵💫
Pretty sure I just sharted…
Since this Christmas is going to be just me and my daughter this year, we are just going to have a nice salad, ciopinno, and sourdough bread. A simple and yet sophisticated dinner.
@marywilliams7624 Hello! How are you doing today? How is your Christmas holiday going?
yeah so I bought your cookbook and made JUST the bagel bread and my family was DEAD THEY LOVE. I cant wait to make more of your recipesb
I spent so much time looking at Joshua's videos for a plan for holiday dinner, and was blessed with this.
Thanks, Papa!
@vespera219 Hello! How are you doing today? How is your Christmas holiday going?
😂😂😂😂😂 you killed me with the gawk gawk 3000 ommfg
@nicolemcguey3386 Hello! How are you doing today? How is your Christmas holiday going?
I wouldn't need all this meat but the rest looks REALLY good! I'll try it!
Thanks for this, going to make about half of it, your emergency thanksgiving video saved me this year!
JW has the best pack of homies❤ love seeing them on the show
Serious question: are you mixing the cookies by hand and hand mixer because it's the best technique, like to avoid over mixing (for example) -- or is it simply to avoid the whining of the "waah but I don't have a stand mixer, Josh!" crowd?
Probably to avoid wining Stand mixers don’t make it better it is just much more convenient
I have a stand mixer-- ME!🤣🤣🤣
@@ThePinkpetals let a relative you dont like do the mixing
Must have been quite a feast for the whole crew members, I’m so jealous
This entire Christmas Dinner process was mesmerizing, Joshua. BTW, love your Cookbook. Was a present from my nephew!
Yayyyyyy 😊thank you papa!!!
Merry Christmas 🎄 to you!
Can you go on last meals, or collab with the mythical kitchen in anyway? I am living for that collaboration
Ya know, for next year I would love yo see a Josh and Matty Matheson collab. Their energies together would be absolutely perfect
bless you, this is literally what I needed!
Wow. Im loving this longer form content
the only Christmas dinner I'll prepare for my family is a succulent, B-ROLL
my family: wanna die
Definitely doing this next year
Awesome book got it for Christmas, what a great gift!
Ummm, yeah, I will continue to dream that my bank account would be able to afford that dinner! LOL! So for us poor peons... Christmas this year would be chuck roast, sausage rolls, Cubed hashbrowns, brussels sprouts, green bean casserole, bag salad and cookies!
Buying pieces in advance helps
@@SkillaMakesMeWetter Umm, have you seen the cost of a four-rib roast? In my neck of the woods, it is $225, short ribs are $175 and don't even think about any truffles, you cannot get them. $400 for three items, that can go towards paying for your utilities and fuel for a month.
@@bdctrans70where do you live? That’s an insane price I literally gasped
@@nawishmal Midwest
@@nawishmal That's what the prices in the grocery store this past week. No lying. Ground beef is $4.99/lb for 80%, $6.99 for 93%
