    Thanks for the video, there is one other difference. On the waste band of the commercial backpack there is a clip on the right hip area, this is so you can clip the additional harness for the commercial brush cutter onto the backpack. Because there is no waste band on the other backpack it is a little more tricky but can be done. I made up another strap that goes from the buckle on the additional harness up to a D ring on the left shoulder strap and this works fine. Not sure if this impacts any other tools that you might use with the non-commercial backpack.

      I have the BH1001 and want to attach a hip pad, what brand did you use to make this adaptation? Edit, AHP1300 is designed to do this.

      @@M8NTIS Hi there. I have a question please (once you've tried out the hip pad). Have you found the combination of the hip pad + the BH1001 reduces the strain/weight of holding the tool? I have a sore neck/shoulders so am trying to work out whether the hip pad is just to protect your legs only, or whether it has an added benefit of reducing the weight of holding the tool. Thanks so much in advance.

    Not sure if the commercial backpack link is worth $60 more just for extra padding. I basically just need it so I can use the commercial tools with my 10Ah batteries.

      The commercial unit seems like the straps may cut in less, especially when using the a heavier battery.

    Is this commercial backpack compatible with POWER+ 765 CFM BLOWER

    Would have been helpful to show them in use, or at least on, so the harness padding & waist belt are shown. Perhaps a follow up is needed.

    The dummy battery looks like it has no status indicator. So with a blower, do you have to take the thing off your back to tell how much power you have left? Thanks.

    Question: Will the commercial backpack work with the NON commercial series products? Are they interchangeable? I purchased the newest non-commercial blower because it is stronger, but would like to use the commercial backpack with it. Thanks

      Yes you just need the dummy battery to make the compatible.

    Do these work in the nexus power station?

    • @jjgroundworks3451
      @jjgroundworks3451  Před 2 lety

      No they are mainly for putting a bigger EGO Battery on your back, such as a 7.5Ah or 10.0Ah for longer run times.

      @@jjgroundworks3451 yeah I know what they are used for... but it would be awesome if they also did that in the nexus as well. I would wondering what would happen if you plugged into into one of the battery slots in the nexus. Could really increase the use of it.. if it worked.

    Having compared weights would allow someone to assess the benefit of one over the other based on weight. Since this will have to be worn for sometime weight will be an issue.

    Question for current owners of a backpack link (who also own the hip pad attachment). Can you please let me know: does the backpack link combined with the hip pad attachment help support the weight of the tool? I am about to purchase an ego line trimmer but I have a bad neck/shoulders. So I'd love to know if the backpack link + hip pad helps to reduce the weight of the tool. Thanks in advance EGO friends. And thanks for this helpful video @jjgroundworks3451
