    As someone who's done a lot of backpacking you're wearing it wrong. You need to tighten up the front straps a lot so the batteries ride higher on your back not hang off your butt. Then the padded belt is designed to get the thing to rest on your hips. Fatigue is when the weight pulls backwards from your shoulders. That's how backpacks work for people who walk with them all day. thnx for the video. I've ordered one. Should be here in a couple of days.

    Just got this blower last week. Surprisingly it’s even quieter then the ego handhelds, not by much but noticeable. Power is decent it gets the job done for me, ergonomics and comfort are very good and noise level is the best available at the moment the neighbors would barely hear this thing. Runtime with the 2x 10 ah batteries is what they claim, close to an hour on high but runs for several hours the way I use it.

    Thanks for the review of this blower. I just recently found out about it, and have been researching it. I've been in the lawn mowing business for 35 years now, and I'm in my early 60s. A bad elbow on my starter rope pulling arm is one reason I've been switching to battery powered handheld equipment (all Stihl commercial so far), in addition to the noise reduction and lack of need for gas, and the resulting polluting exhaust a gas engine puts out. I have a perfectly good Stihl BR600 backpack blower, still in great shape, but all my other handheld stuff is now battery powered, so the blower is the last gas powered one. From what I've read, this EGO blower seems to be the most powerful blowing battery model on the market right now. And I see you have demoed the one with the 10 Ah batteries. Price I've seen is $1299. I discovered that my local Lowe's has this in stock, but with 6 Ah batteries for $699. Other than the obvious shorter run time with the 6 AH batteries, I'm wondering if that might affect blowing power? That stats are the same, 800cfm and I think 25 or 26 N of force. I also see there is a 30 day full refund policy if you don't like the blower, so I am seriously considering buying the 6 Ah model at Lowe's, as that would make for an easy return if I don't like how it performs "real world" on the job. And if I do decide to keep it, I can buy 1 or 2 back up batteries for for a cheaper total than the $1299 model 9yes I already checked out EGO battery prices online).

      Thank you for watching and I appreciate your comment. Something you might be missing is the $699 model that you are speaking of I believe it’s only going to have one battery and if you say it’s a six amp hour battery then that is kind of small to run such a powerful motor, the blower that I am demonstrating in this video has two 10 amp hour batteries that are wired in parallel so it actually is 20 amp hours and gives a very long runtime.

      You will still have the same power since the voltage is the same. The ah is basically just how long the battery will last.

    Good afternoon, quick question can you please give us a rundown on the difference in model numbers currently being offered. The video highlights model LBPX8000, are the other models available just as good? For example, LBPX8004-2 OR LBPX8006-2, thank you in advance.

    Thank you for a great video ! I have been trying to find out the weight of this unit . I plan on using for my home ( residential use not commerce ) and have been wondering how heavy it is because my wife and daughter would be using it also . Basically you answered my question in the video by saying it weighs about just as much as a gas powered unit . Would you recommend it for mine , my daughter's and wife's use ?

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  Před rokem +1

      If it’s just for your personal residential use, whether it’s for a man or a female, I might recommend going with a lighter single battery option and save a little money. However, I would have no problem with my teenage boys or my wife using this blower.

    Not even close to the power of my 2 Shindaiwa 80cc blowers and the version you have with the 2 10 AH batteries is $1300! That is more than the cost of 2 of my blowers combined. The blower itself isn't a bad product, but the weight is far to heavy almost 2 times the weight of my Shindaiwa's and the price isn't justifiable. If that unit could be sold for around $600 then it would be worth it. Also, backpack blowers like this just haven't been proven yet, we really have no idea the longevity of the unit for a price like that they haven't been out long enough. Also, I have seen no tests on the batteries in extreme conditions. Especially in cold or very hot environments. Batteries are almost always drained quickly in cold climates and also in extreme heat. For some reason this seems to keep getting looked over and should be considered as well. I would really love someone to do tests on the batteries in those conditions and see how fast the power drains.
