How about a 70 year old rock fan ? This is my favourite band from the last 40 years and in my top 10 of all time.
There seems to be a lot of us oldie's like that Eddie. I wonder if the Maids really know how many of us there are?
@@785boats Apparently there are enough to sell out an entire U.S. tour and have additional shows added.
Eventually, the more you listen to Band-Maid, ‘my favorite song is the one I am listening to at that moment’. Great comments and reaction. It’s hard not to be swept up by the moment listening to Band-Maid - their captivating. Thanks again
If you haven't seen Band-Maid's "Band-Maiko" Secret Maiko Lips MV, prepare to lose your heart, dude, that's all I'm gonna say...
Edward, I'm a 72 year old rock fan who has seen several legendary rock bands up close and personal, and I agree with you this my favorite rock band in 40+ years and is now my exclusive favorite band. I have the albums, the t-shirts, and the bucket list to see them live in concert. I heard today that they are going to release a CD of their acoustic concert. Can't wait to purchase that.
I'm with ya Bill, 65yo here and lovin' these girls to Death! I too have seen the best back in the day. They captured my R-n-R heart two years ago and never gave it back....Thank God!
Although this is an early BAND-MAID recording, THE NON-FICTION DAYS is an expertly crafted rock song that gets better with each listen.
Thanks for doing this song! It's one of my ultimate favorite BAND-MAID songs!!🤘🤩🤘
The Non-Fiction Days is my favorite Band-Maid song=) It's the first song on their Brand New Maid album/CD 2016 ! And i think this is also on vinyl ! If you haven't reacted to "Real Existence" Live it is a must !! Thanks for playing my favorite=)
It’s my favorite too and the first one I ever heard from them!
@@BigBirdBigDaddy My first was Dice MV i love it as well , but The Non-Fiction Days is on another level ! I Can't wait till Oct hopefully we can see them twice!
Band Maid are the best rock band on the planet right now.
Ahhhhh! Quality!
Real rock chicks who kick arse. This is my favourite band, MISA is my crush! 😁
Thanks again EB!
Besides being exceptional writers and instrumentalists, virtuosos really, I think Kanami, MISA and Akane can be regarded as musician's musicians. And Miku, a prolific lyricist, is revered by anyone once they hear, see, and learn the multitude of her accomplished. And finally Saiki, who commands the respect from any singer and frontperson as she leads a charging band relentlessly driving toward making rock history. BAND-MAID'S 2022 US TOUR IS ALREADY SOLD OUT!
Thanks TEB!
Non Fiction Days, Band-Maid living their dreams! Then the song "Afterlife", again, Band-Maid living in their dream after fighting to stay themselves in the music industry! These ladies rock and have so much fun while doing it, it's infectious! So looking forward to seeing them live!
It's not surprising that all the shows on the U.S. tour are sold out. Some shows were moved to larger venues. And also two extra shows have been added. one in New Jersey. And one in Chicago. So cool.
One of my favorite songs my them. It just hooks you.
They are just SO GOOD !!!
TEB! Looks like you got a kiss from a Unicorn, you thavage.....Lol! Kanami had some good 70's harmonics screaming on that guitar solo.......classic sound.
Awesome song in every respect and one of my favourites.
It seems that there is one point with Band-Maid that a reactor just becomes a fan, whether they plan to or not. I couldn't get past three songs without becoming a fanboy myself, after that I couldn't hear enough of them.
They've just added 2 more dates to the US tour as all the rest have sold out.
"Has such a mid-2000s feel to it." HA! EXACTLY! B-M has a ton of little musical tricks and sounds that are specific to early-to-mid 2000's music. It's stuff that makes it feel nostalgic even when you've never heard the song before. In this case, and I'm sure there are other examples out there, but the best example I could remember of this little sound was the intro to Crawling in the Dark by Hoobstank. That sound is the exact thing that makes it feel exactly like it's from the mid 2000s. There are other examples in B-M's catalogue that use other tricks as well. Regardless of one's opinion of that song or of the band, the sound is distinct to that era and makes this song feel like it's of that era.
I've said it a million times before and I'll say it a million times again the Japanese rock scene just kicks ass
Another awesome track , they definitely know how to kick it.
Is it wrong to like this song more just because its longer than most of their songs? More Band Maid!
It's not my favorite B-M song but I've always loved this song in their live shows.
Man you know Saiki is gorgeous and mature (27 years old);no schoolgirl fantasies here(babymetal)
I feel like Non Fiction Days is way harder than REAL EXISTENCE.
Excellent choice! Brilliant MV and a superb song that's always on my playlists. So glad you discovered Band-Maid and even gladder that you clearly appreciate their musicianship and love their music. And Saiki's powerful presence, of course!
about the information that shocked me recently
the theme of the last band maid Nippon radio broadcast was " crying"
MIKU ,who usually doesn't cry , cried a lot
the reason is that if it was band maid , she cried a lot when she was told to dissolve by the president of the company
the president was to work as"Dance Maid" with SAIKI from tomorrow
it's okay if it's an April fool's day project 😓…
I like the term modern rock to many people my age say the 60's had the best music the 70's had the best music well had is right after listening to band maid it opened up a new world of rock they are great also cute is for kittens pretty is for paintings saiki is a woman and she is beautiful and I'm afraid you're going to have to get in line because there are alot of us that feel the same way my hearts with kanami but that's beside the point be well waiting impatiently for the next and I appreciate you doing the mv's it's what you get on the albums live is good but you miss the original sound they put out be well
Check out Rolling Quartz. Great girl rock band out of Korea
Agreed. Band-Maid are killer. And amazing. And Awesome. And ............ 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Peace.
Really enjoying the Band Maid music and videos, my only personal gripe is that I am struggling with the language and hence the topic of the songs. Perhaps if they have released the videos with subtitles then I might stand a better chance at understanding the music as a whole thing, but I can’t tell if they are playing about a lost love or protesting against global warming or how much they enjoyed yesterday’s egg-roll’s.
Their more recent videos are all subtitled, and they've been going back and adding subtitles to the older ones. Although given the ambiguous nature of Japanese, Miku's love of wordplay, and her preference for the conceptual over the concrete, the lyrics are always going to be more of a "vibe" than anything you can pin down.
Somebody added unofficial English subtitles to this one: czcams.com/video/k0zua-1Iws8/video.html
@@stevehall5128 thanks for the info I will get on to find out more.
I don’t know if this will help but, when listening to a group from another country, and of course in another language, I treat the vocals as another instrument. I listen for the dynamics, phasing, and of course the emotion. Even if you don’t understand the language the emotions, if done well, will come through. Hope this helps.
