Never leave your credit cards where inanimate skulls can see them. 🤦
These treasures are pretty awesome! The price is really reasonable too! Thanks Captain for the videos!
Your ads are the best ads. 🖤🖤
@@christopherdubour6662 Well that genuinely makes me happy
@@michaelpiercy89 They definitely have some great price ranges. If you want fancy, they got WAY fancy, but just as many affordable treasures.
I mean who doesn’t appreciate a strong, sassy latch? Admiring the intricate detail placed on the otherwise unadorned metal box. Precision work! Love, Mom
Thanks mom, you’re the best
So darned good! The shape! The texture! The reverse bottom! The hinge flippy open thingy! The so very cool latch! And such good music. I think I am going to go gaze into the black mirror with my magic square, er, rectangle, now...
Go forth...and gaze!
Some CZcams creators put out content that is good, but not drop-everything-to-watch-good. Your channel is among a few that qualify as drop-everything-and-knock-over-children-and-pets-to-watch-good. Thanks for the awesome video!
Take it easy on the little ones...they know not what they're missing. ; )
Never thought about making a 'bandsaw box' out of steel. Super cool and the presentation of the video was great!
I like the way you played normal speed audio overtop of timelapse footage. It's way more pleasant to listen to than the high pitched squeal of x4 speed grinders the way other channels do.. not to name names
I am damn happy you noticed and feel the same. A little extra work for a much more enjoyable audio experience
@@skullandspade it's always been a pet peeve of mine. Most of these maker videos on CZcams aren't really intended to be educational. I mean, they kind of are, but not really.. I'm a woodworker, so most of the metal working stuff I see isn't applicable to what I do.. It's more about the entertainment and ancillary knowledge
So when something makes a video difficult to watch (ie: high pitched squeals), it sort of removes the desire to keep watching.. I'm really glad you took the time to do that, I hope it isn't too much of a pain in the ass though.. what about keeping the original audio and pitching it down to a normal sounding octave? Would that be easier to edit?
Loved the transformation of all the raw materials you used. They all started as normal industrial supplies and ended up being ancient treasure worthy. Beautiful as always.
Thank you as always Laurin!
Super cool latch design! Was not expecting it. I like the way you have integrated the ad into your video, it's almost as if it wasn't an ad 😎
Well thank you Sir! That makes me happy to know it doesn't impose on the video as a whole.
The curves and the latch really bring it. Well done Cap. I need more hardy type tools it seems.
Thank you sir. The extra tooling really helped. Now I know why smiths have walls full of tools.
20 points to Gryffindor for making your own clasp!
Also, hot screws make the cutest noise when you toss them in water! 🤗
Hah, I agree, little bloops.
Awesome Bret! Love the box shape and the latch, not to mention the video production!
Cheers Chris
Cool transformation from square tube to gorgeous.
Thank you Jim
wow you freehand cut the lid off absolutely, deadnuts straight!
Most used tool for years now>angle grinder
Great build! The texture of the box is fantastic, but that tension lock is just perfect, and so satisfying to watch work. Thanks for sharing, as always.
Thank you Lee!
Love the texture on the domed pieces. Great relaxing video.
Thank you brother. Mission accomplished
Beautiful box. The locking mechanism is very original.
A custom skull and spade 13 ring would be mind blowing ☠️♠️
It's definitely been discussed with a few fellow makers that do such things...
Great treasure box. The hinge/latch combo is great. Nice little details everywhere.
Thank you sir. Hope all is well!
wow, I love that latch design, very cool to watch the whole process.
Thank you brother!
amazing job! those free hand straight cuts with the grinder! 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Most used tool, been getting pretty good with it ; )
Nice final product and journey to it! Enjoyed the jumpy time lapse parts and minimalist music as well. Two thumbs up!
Thank you Bradley!
I love your videos because even though I see the finished product I am mesmerized by the process!!
Mission accomplished then.
I really like the crazy talk with the skulls. Very funny
Thank you
the latch!!! Look at it! great work captain!
Thank you brother!
Great choice in music mate. I don't do jewellery but Mrs F does, I need to give this a go with a stick welder.
Get to it sir! (I could not be happier with the Inside Al username now... how brilliant)
Now, I know you can't buy any kind of treasure box with that kind of quality and Elegance!!!
But, I think your going to need a bigger treasure box... Hahaha!!!
May the wind always be at your back, Cap'n!!!! 👍🏻💪🏻
We're just going to have to make bigger and bigger treasure chests.
Very cool project. Like how you disguised the welds and love how you made the locking mechanism. Very nice detail!
Thank you! Glad you liked it
Beautifully done video I love it man great way to think outside the box get it I said box!!
YOU WENT THERE!

Thank you brother. Hope all is well
@@skullandspade things are kind of bla.. but getting better so its not too bad.
This is one of my favorite projects you've made. Not only is the box beautiful but the video is 👍👍
Really?! That's high praise from such a talented box maker!
This is about as perfect a video/sponsor pairing as has ever been. Another killer build, Cap'n!
That means a lot Randy. Thank you.

Anneal and get to it! Would love to see some applications come out of that brain of youra
So many cool elements to this one, and some new video tricks as well. Love it! Keep on keepin on. Thanks for sharing!

Brett keep on making great things. Teaching this great craftsmanship and as always Forge on - Jared E. Scheidel
Thank you sir. Keep getting that forge going
Brett McAfee yes that's next project is to build the forge then forge on
Great solution for the domes.
Just a bit of added dimension. Plus, need to practice some dishing/raising for future projects.
I find myself trying to guess your next technique and tool during the build. Love the details in this project and thoroughly appreciate the music movements in line with the video progression! Spot on!! 🖤🐞💪🏼 🔥
Thank you as always Lady. Congrats on your new bandsaw!
Brett McAfee thank you!! I’m so excited! Since I was able to give Jimmy’s monster bandsaw a few cuts last year I think I’ll get used to this big one!!
Always coming up with something gorgeous...Thanks Cap!

You should!

Awesome project mate! Such a beautifully shot video as well!
Thank you Aaron!
Dang! That would make a mighty fine spice box.
Think of a bunch of little versions for just that... drool
Another great build, Brett! Fitting looking ring box.
Billy
Thanks as always Billy!
Some unique building technique you got there captn
Make a better box
Outstanding!! Every time I think to myself, ok, I see where this is going, you take an unexpected left turn. Also, the rest is great too but that is a super satisfying catch mechanism. Well done.
Thank you as always for the kind words.
Lovely work, Cap'n!
Thanks!
Box turned out great Brett, awesome work on the video as well! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thank you Fred!
Nice one!
And here I thought that Scully would keep out of trouble while online. It just shows that you can't let your little ones play freely with your phone...
Yeah...I need to put a bell on him or something.
@@skullandspade 😂🤣
She's a beaut, cap'n. With a jewelry box like that, I'd almost consider starting to wear jewelry.

Masterful capn’!
Aw shucks.
Don't be too rough on old Skully, Cap'n... Where's a disembodied, haunted skull going to get work, anyway, now that they closed down the Sizzler? Love that ring-box!!
Hahahah, dinner at the Sizzler? I'm buying!
What a beautiful box, and fantastic video. Loved the strobing effect on the edit.
Thank you as always Graham!

That’s so dope how you did this. I like that a lot. I want one. 🤩👍🏾👏🏾💃🏾💯
Thank ye
That was great fun! Strangely for the whole video Terry Pratchett was on my mind. And by the way, I think I think the spring works in the wrong direction and has to be stronger..... 😎Greetings from Germany
Greetings.
Très joli boîte et sublime bague
Merci
Artisan smithing, bringing the pirate life to an art form. I am humbled and a little embarrassed, I ask myself; is it arrogant to have sent you artwork? Awesome piece and video.
Not arrogant at all Raynola. My appreciation for your art/creativity is endless.
Yet another fantastic video. I especially loved the end!
Thank you Matthew!
That is fantastic
Well thank you
Congratulations from France 🇫🇷 !
Thank you!

Nice Brett!
Cheers Dustin!
So good!!!
Thank you Brian!
Where did you get the funds for such treasure?............SKULLY! 🤣 Love the look of this chunky little box, nice project!👍😁
He’s such a scamp
bloody fantastic sir. so so cool. and I finally have an idea for that cube I welded last year... besides sitting around and collecting dust. I do not trust myself enough though to cut ist open with an angle-grinder I think :D
Thank you sir! As far as the grinder goes, use a piece of think strap steel or flat bar. You can set it in place with clamps and ride the wheel along it.
@@skullandspade ohhhh. like a ruler you mean. that's a fantastic idea!!! I have a couple Frames to finish, but after that I will give it a go! Thank you!
Rather enjoyable, as per usual :)
No YOU
Wonderful build! Although, I thought you might have used the hair of your fallen enemies to pad the interior. No, matter, still a fine piece of craftsmanship!
We're fresh out of that...
This is awesome, loved seeing how you did this one.
Thank you Brother!
Nice.
Thanks Wayne!
awesome box, great video! Thanks for the early morning entertainment :D
