- The new deck was in need of lighting for our nighttime shenanigans. By harnessing the power of the sun, and using the guts of some super affordable solar kit, as well as some hardware from the big box store. Old craft meets new tech for a massive upcycle.

In sorry but where is the blacksmithing exactly...???!!! You distressed stock flat bar by heating it up n hitting with a hammer.... Then bent it.....not blacksmithing. Title is a lie... Click bait... Be honest with what u make. You can do what you just did with out a forge....
You need to look up the definition of what forging is.
"make or shape (a metal object) by heating it in a fire or furnace and hammering it."
Get out of your mums basement and stop getting upset over a video on youtube
Why do you have to suck?
I think you missed the point
You must be so much fun to live with. 🙄
You should demand a refund!!
One thing i love about this video is the lack of talking and explaining, just letting the video speak for itself. I especially like that you silenced the grinder. Wish so many others would do that too.
Love this look and how you made it all together.
Glad you liked it!
Holy crap that trick with the threads was genius.
Made sense to me ; )
most said this is my favorite videos so far
When i see this video, it become easy to sail on the sea of imagination. Congratulations from France.
Merci!
Something I really appreciate in this project is the extra effort you put in to making a finished product that doesn't look like it weighs a hundred pounds. Working and welding on smaller pieces and adding little touches like grinding down the excessive steel on those elbows is something I really love seeing. Props to you for the extra effort involved cause to a metalworking snob like me that kinda work is rarely seen. You are inspiring me to finish a metal lamp I put aside months ago that's half finished :)
Thank you very much John!
Forged Scones? Now i'm hungry
Those brass rivets are a beautiful detail. Shiny!
Thank you!
Brilliant. I like how you ground down the elbows to a smooth finish. The ship shop is ship shape.
Thank you as always Raynola
Some slick design ideas! Love that "weld dam" idea.
Made sense at the time
More people need to know about this channel. This is some of the best stuff on CZcams.
I appreciate that!
Yo that ring you made with the giant rod was 🔥. Thank you for sharing this project with us!
Thank you!
Those fit perfectly. The lit glass with the brass and steel are ship shop worthy.
Thank ye!

I'm having a bad day. What's this Brett has a new video up. This day just got a whole lot better. You sir have an amazing mind and eye for detail. Where do you get your ideas from?
My brain is a very special place. Honestly I can’t really explain how the ideas happen, but I get inspired by shapes, colors, forms, etc
Great film. Awesome build. So much detail and time went into this. Results are fantastic. Mahalo for sharing! 🙂🐒

Thank ye
cor blimey guv'ner! that was inspiring and relaxing! your workshop is a very cool spot, do you have to keep pinching yourself when you are there?
I’m still happy as a clam every time
My crow brain says put shiny and sparkling things in the bottom of the glass.
May have to try that
Definitely looks the part, fits in perfectly!
How long does the light shine? The product description said up to ten hours, but we all know how much you can trust those...
10hr light time, they charge during the day and run all night
@@skullandspade Good to hear it lives up to the promise! Let's hope for long lived batteries!
Wonderful so much style and texture, love the brass! Did I see that you have the ground wire of the welder attached to the outside of the alligator clip?
Mayhaps? That’s the factory supplied clip from Forney
Very inspiring. What ever happened to Forged Home?
Coming back very soon
Hello Brett. What do you call the vice type device that you are using at 4:48? My uncle gave me one that is all rusted up and I plan to get it working again ..... but I don't know what it is called.
That’s just a standard bench vise my dude. I did a full restoration on that exact one your seeing, maybe a month or two prior. Videos on the channel. Give’er a look see if you want the walkthrough. Also, hand tool rescue has done a couple.
@@skullandspade , Thanks for the reply and I'll check out the video!
"You can do what you just did with out a forge...." maybe try harder next time, McAfee!!!
Everything I do is for the approval of mike madison
Oh that's not Blacksmithing, this is just skillfully manipulating metal with traditional techniques and turning it into something truly gorgeous and unique... Killer project Brett!
Bahahah! Thank you Remi
