Holding History | Mammoth Tusk Sculptural Display
In this video I take you through my process of creating a sculptural display for an absolutely amazing piece of history. Not many folks can say they've touched a 20,00 + year old Mammoth Tusk, let alone been able to help in the fabrication of an artistic mount. Between the engineering, and the execution, I'm very proud of how this turned out. Thank you all for watching.
A special thank you to John G. for the amazing opportunities.

Making Mandalorian Armorer Hammers | Beskarmascus

When you're a blacksmith, and a nerd, you celebrate when you can make those two worlds collide. The hammer design shown in the Mandalorian, and used by The Armorer herself gave me all the inspiration I needed to try making a couple of my own. I finally decided to create a little house for the wild ground squirrels that share my little pile of sand. Inspired by the Bokoblin Camps from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I made them a little playground to escape from the heat of the summer sun, gather and store treasure, and come for a late night snack under the solar torch light. Why not just when wanting to move it use a 2 wheel cart? Somewhere in the future we’re gonna need the metal you used and when the go a searching Fer it, it’ll be all wrapped around and rusted together with a hunk of rusting metal you call an anvil. Good lord think a thousand years in the future son. Fer PETA sake The thumbnail of it looks pretty….its a pretty anvil stand 😆 🚶🚪🦕

The way you coax those smooth flowing shapes from steel is simply delightful. It's a beautiful piece of art. It honors the fossil as the centerpiece but still had a beauty of its own. The coloration of the metal is something I haven't seen before, it really adds a nice dimension to the material. The look and sound of this video was mesmerizing. Gave me a peaceful feeling watching it. Good to see the inside of the Ship Shop again. Hope you and the crew are doing well. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed your video for two main reasons : - I like your style of filming and editing and missed your videos - I really enjoyed seeing the process that transformed regular materials into a beautiful piece. The paint at the end really magnified the whole piece. And also, now, I want to buy one of those sculpting disks for my grinder. It looks very useful to carve organic forms in wood.
