2024 and just remembered just how good Capdown were. Never got the recognition they deserved. Saw them 3 times back in the early 2000s absolutely incredible each time. Probably the best live band I ever saw and I saw a lot of massive bands
I stumbled across capdown at Nassfest in 2002? Being into hardcore 80's punk bands cos i'd played in them, walked into a feild with my m8,already buzzed up and this band came on. It was f######ing Awesome.!!!!! Around 2pm in the avvo, suns out and they were banging loud.!! Guitarist had a mohawk at the time and my m8 got floored by lads rushing through people and taking them forward. Was awesome. Full on ska, hardcore punk at its best!!!! Hats off to capdown, what a fucking awesome afternoon that was!!!!!!!😂😂😂
These lads will always be the best gig I’ve ever been to (I managed to see them nine times in total), at every performance everyone went completely mental. It was beautiful, we all skanked like psychotics, but still looked after each other.

I’ve been to many, many festivals and seen lots of big bands over the last 20 years. Capdown at the Adelphi in Hull in 2001 is the best gig I have ever been to.
Love this vid!! Great Times had @ the Square.... its always fun when I rewatch this & spot a young mohawked me , front & centre from the start , scratching me head & having a few drinks while ALL he'll breaks loose around me!! Think I was on monitor protection duty....or too pissed to dance to the best uk band since The Ruts .....x
This is up tempo, even for Capdown. I remember seeing them live that year. Just unbelievable. Best gig I have even been to. Please keep this video up for as long as possible - it is them at their best. Just how I remember it. People in the future will look back in awe and wonder.
Awesome band, amazing songs, respect for the crowd, zero pretence whatsoever surely everything that is good about music regardless of whether it is ska, rock, R 'n' B or whatever. Sadly missed, severely underrated but I would hate to have seen them if they ended up being huge, I'm sure they wouldn't have made the consistently amazing music if they had. Made 3 of the greatest albums in my collection and one of them wasn't even around when this was recorded!
+David Jackson A heads-up for you. Capdown are back at The Craufurd Arms, Wolverton, Milton Keynes again on Thursday 28th January (less than 3 weeks away). Tickets are only £11. Saw them at the same venue last year (after seeing them earlier in the year elsewhere) and it was such an awesome home-coming type vibe.
It's cute that the singer thinks the crowd will sing along to Kained but Able when he can't even be bothered to sing it himself. He is literally just grunting in the rhythm of the words..

How on earth did we keep up with that tempo back then. There were no breaks. It was back to back tunes!
Awesome band wish they would return one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

This band is so cool!
Saw them in 2002, Tufnell Park or Kentish Town> Great night anyway from a well missed band.
awesome style!
Brilliant
that said chucking out the opening notes of bitches and Nike shoes and not actually playing the song is just cruel
late 90's early 2000's @thelambster44 not sure on the exact date and they played here alot
Fucking genius! Pure anarchism! You just won!
seen a lot of familiar faces in the crowd, including my own,
Nico, Smithy, mills etc
Whats the name of the first song
Faith no more

No, it was actually performed that fast. Trust me, we slowed it down in a studio once and it came out like David Attenborough.
