Never appreciated this band back then, but now I’m lovin’ it! I’m 70!!!!! Oh well, never too late!
never,im 58 thanks from brazil
I am a 63 year old Grandad, was never a Punk but have always admired and enjoyed the music they created.
Sheer excitement.enthusiasm and great entertainment.
Their live concerts, the noise, atmosphere etc imo are not much different to the early Beatles, Stones when they started.
Their Tracks are timeless, as with the Characters themselves.
40 years on everyone knows them, whoever wins X Factor will be forgotten in a fortnight, specially the drivel churned out as their Track.....!!
Born -63
AGREE ^^
I'M here...... and still loving it...
FUCK MERKEL..... FUCK THE SYSTEM..... FUCK MONEY.....
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN !
Just admitting that you aren't punk makes you more punk than all of the people that do identify with it. Being punk to me means being yourself, and enjoying what you want without giving a shit what others think 😀
Never be scared to extoll the virtues of the sex pistols. Not offensive just great fun.Never mind is the ultimate rock album. Bugger age. I was there and i still am. 😁

Ralphs the man!!!
What happened to Ralph, I hope it wasn't violent
❤️
RIP Ralph. Good man for scoring the tickets. Sounds like a fond memory with a great friend
I'm living vicariously through you mate, much love to Ralph and his family. I'm sincerely sorry for your loss x
And here we are in 2023...England is rapidly becoming a distant memory...
What is this country of Engaland they mentioned several times?
@@timppaUT a land of warriors who always fought for freedom.
@@valmircamilo4748 ie. Every sovereign country in the World. Could you be a bit more specific?
@@timppaUT kkkkk, all former comunist countries in Europe. The people were not free.
And thats a good thing
People said they couldn’t play, well here’s proof they can. Steve Jones is a fantastic underated guitarist and Johnny is just on fire.
Paul on drums and justice for Glen totally on top here
Todos son increíbles, Vivan los Pistols!
Joe hanny i agree..you're spot on.
Here here brilliant musicians one and all . I saw this live awesome
nobody said that

+Phil Kühn .thanks for doing this Phil....
+Phil Kühn thx, i'll include in the description
Thanx!
So underestimated nowadays... the Pistols are one of the truly great rock and roll bands in UK music history!
by who?
They are national treasure! And in no way underrated. Except for those who think they can't play.
Absolutely brilliant I am 61 and bought this when it first came out and still think forget the punk it's just a great rock album, this concert proves they could play and after this I really think they couldn't get any better, if they had would it be as good, ì don't think so, how many debut and last albums are we still talking about today
I'm 60 mate. I wore out my cassette tape.
The energy, the bizarre charm that John Lydon has is unmatched. This guy could get to be 90 years old and still get to excite the crowd.
Mauricio Forero it's a bit of the punk definition
iKangoo although Lydon is more Mcpunk these days
Punk is never dead. Merely boxed and brought now and again...with the same energy and enthusiasm as when it started.
The Godfathers of punkrock
His lyrics were absolute genius. I don't know if he had any assistance on that, I know some of the song titles started in various ways, but Lydon nailed the lyrics to the wall of history when he was a teenager. What a statement he made for all working class people across the world.
Man, you can still see the fury in Johnny's eyes, even all these years later.
Its all an act mate...............
oh pulleeze, it isn't hard to have that much anger in this world. just because you don't walk around looking like that all the time, which would be stupid and juvenile, doesn't mean you can't bring out those feelings out when you need them, or need to vent them.
that would be the speed.
xx
kelly According to everyone who's ever been anywhere near him you're wrong, that's him 24 fkn 7!!!
All ages, all types in the crowd. Awesome show. One of the best rock shows ever.
1:04:16 - freaking hell. I saw them in London 1976 and didn't know what hit me! Today I am an old fart and seeing their 2007 performance still creates a wide smile on my face. Great band. Powerful performance. Thanks, chaps.
Daniel, what became of all the punks from back then? Did they shift to New Wavers? Businessmen? Dead?
'smile'... that's THE word
@@BobbyGeneric145 they became transport managers . Well I did
I wish I had seen them. I've seen a lot of punks but missed the Pistols.
@@BobbyGeneric145 What kind of question is that?
I've watched this countless times and I still get a chill's down my spine as the pretty vacant guitar riff starts.
For me too !
@@Mytyay_ShostaIV I think Steve did by his expression
Yeah, me too. Something about that riff. Nearly fifty years on and it still just kills. The message remains relevant.
Moi aussi.
As a UK teenager, I had given up on listening to music in the late 70s before I heard it.
Incredible as it may seem, I first heard it at my Catholic high school when some teacher played the TOTPs recording to us. I think he later went on record as saying No More Heroes by The Stranglers was his favorite piece of music.
Omg same here the riff almost made me dive of the couch. It was all that anticipation waiting for the start it was the perfect song to start with.
That energy!
Puts many of the modern bands to shame.
Wow, no phones filming, people dancing and having fun!
The energy!
Punk never dies ⚡
P. s I know that there weren't good phones back in 2007 but I meant that it's a big difference in comparison to how people film anything these days.
i see some phones and cameras but yea for the most part just enjoying it
Punks not dead
Pure fuckin bother
Nobody had effing smart phones back then - the first iphone just came out that same year. But yes, good energy
such an orginal comment..
I saw them in Seattle on their reunion tour. Even took some pictures. 1996. I'd have to look it up. No one wanted to go. I thought my friends were idiots not to go. No way I was going to miss it, and there was a stadium of people who saw it. Bucket List achieved. I saw the Pistols live, something I never thought would happen. Those songs will never die.
I missed out on the Sex Pistols when they released Never Mind the Bullocks in 1976. I was 15 then. Never listened to them. Ever. Finally heard it in the 90's, and it hit me like an atomic explosion. One of the best bands in rock history. Untouchable.
Touchable. Stones, Zep, Who, Animals, Cream, etc, etc…
I'll never forget the moment I heard God Save the Queen on my clock radio up in Chicago in '76. I'd been reading and hearing about them, but it still totally blew my circuits to finally hear them on the radio. One of the greatest rock and roll moments of my life. They never made it to Chicago, but the first punk show I ever went to was a great one, the Stranglers!
This is probably one of the best performances I have ever seen them do. They are BALLISTIC. It really sucks they never wrote any additional material together.
It was not destiny. Thats why is this only album forever
You know what? I absolutely needed that. With the world, and our own country despising British values, traditions, and ethics, it was great to watch this celebration of what it is to be British. Well done the crowd, and The Pistols.
One of the coolest stage enterences ever.
So true
Absolutely, that‘s why I come here from time to time: „ How the fuck are yea?“
There is certian magic that happens at 3:49 when Steve starts strumming Pretty Vacant and to see the crowds reaction is priceless to me! What a band!
I was a 15 year old metal kid in the early 80s. While on a Junior Achievement trip in NC, I watched a Sex Pistols concert on tv. I saw Johnny Rotten spit beer on the audience and I was changed forever! As soon as I got home, I started buying punk rock albums and still do!
we need this energy to come out once again.
Oh it’s coming
J saw them on Marqee pub (Charing Cross rd, London) It waz on 78' and Sid waz still alive!! 🤪🤯👍🥃🍺🥃🍺🥃🍺
One of the best live concerts I've ever viewed. What a tight band.
46 and this put a smile on my face.
Wow, no phones filming, people dancing and having fun!
The energy!
Punk never dies ⚡
2007 = shitty feature phones, OK the iPhone had just come out, how time have changed
Few singular bands and an album can define an era of music as definitively as the Sex Pistols & Never Mind The Bollocks do for Punk. THIS IS PUNK ROCK. PERIOD.
Pure class, followed the Band since I was a kid....im a 55yr old tart now.....one of Britain's best Exports.
The crowd was well into it. LOVE IT
I love how varied and multi-cultural the audience is.
never used to be.
@@1919mum well no, that's the point
Christ I had NO idea this reunion was so good. Audience take a fkn bow!!
So much for punk rockers not knowing how to play their instruments...these guys are on fire and solid!
It's a myth that so-called Punk Rockers couldn't play their instruments. The Pistols were adept with the style of music they played...And after a number performances and constant practice. They became a tight band. Plus, not too many bands sounded like they did at that time. Just because they didn't wank on their instruments, playing 50 notes a minute and 5 minute drum solos to prove they took lessons as kids. Does not mean they can't make significant and memorable music. The Stones and The Faces and a few other 60s based groups, didn't always sound proficient either. Nobody comes out of the womb playing a musical instrument.
👊
Protos Telos I should hope so after playing music since the 70's. Anyone who can't play after doing gigs for 4+ decades should have their hands cut off. On that note, good show and good upload!
thats why it was called" the great rock and roll swindle" ,they could play from day one.
Dougie Wright he’s a shit guitarist same as that idiot Sid couldn’t play the bass
Steve Jones and Paul Cook are so in the pocket and with a bass player that not only knows what he's doing but wrote a lot of the songs, Matlock, the band is brutal in its impact. Cook plays such awesome accents, he really makes these simple songs achieve another level. And just because they're simple doesn't mean they're not brilliant. I notice a lot of how the riffs go down minor and come back up major. There's some masterclass in rock n roll in here. Unlike many other punk bands, the Pistols played mid tempo, almost like a 70s metal band, not that they'd want to admit that.
Can't believe they got rid of Matlock back then and replaced him with someone who could barely play
I'm 63 and i remember when the Sex Pistols 1st came around and i was interested and I remember they played this club in New York City called CBGB's and I was very curious about them and i ended up liking them and i love the way Johnny Rotten (John Lydon) tells it like it is..A no holds barred person and performer and actually Johnny is a very intelligent guy 😎
The Sex Pistols performance is red hot and the atmosphere of the crowd is truly amazing!
Went to this gig, brother got me a ticket. Was dreading it, thought it would be lame after all these years had passed. Oh how wrong I was - bloody brilliant!!!
Punk is my life and has been since 76 , now in my 50s and still listen to it everyday, the Vibrators were my band but I saw the Pistols twice and they blew my mind and when you see stuff like this it just takes me back to the 70s when we had no hassle just music, o and a few fights.
I love the sex pistols but what i love the most is that Johnny has always stayed true and steady!!!!
I have seen this footage over 100 times yet and still got me chills!!! Wish I was there!!
The spirit never gets lost. Johnny and the crowd had so much fun together. And the songs are timeless.
The Pistols are fucking awesome. Would've loved to have been at this show. Steve, Glen and Paul are fantastic on their instruments and Johnny is an amazing frontman. Never Mind The Bollocks is such a great album. Every song is a classic.
Great fun band, look at the audience singing every song!
John, Steve, Glen and Paul deserved 15 albums, world tours to go with them, financial security and creative freedom. They got none of this, and they still smile. Gentlemen all.
The original Pistols generation--we are old enough, and many of us, are Grandparents...hard to fucking believe frankly.
Get a time machine
dude, sid vicious would be 61
Its so cool to see the old generation of fans and the new generation of fans at the same place
Sibyeelle Janin has it really been 4p years? Damn!
Sibyeelle Janin *40
God save our pistols!
Quote of the day :D
cool to see the band smiling and having fun playing.. energy from the crowd was awesome
This is pure gold, real musicians that stay true to their believes and their music and spitting out electric, the crowd feel it and give back the electric ❤❤❤🤟🤟🤟🤟
Lots of people are cynical about these reunion shows and I was myself - I thought it looked tragic for the band and worse for the fans. BUT at the last minute I decided to go to one of these shows in 2007. AND it was a ridiculously great night! What this film can't possibly get across is the atmosphere in the room - it was incredible how the love between band and crowd was tangible, it actully felt like Ecstasy. The band sounded insanely, cartoonishly powerful, and the crowd were all just shouting or laughing. A great nights entertainment.
youaintpunk I wouldn't have missed this for anything if I were anywhere near Europe at all!
Wished I would have been there as well
DAMN! I love this concert! I come time and again to see it!
If they reunite, I'll travel anywhere to see them.
Same
As much as I remember, there were 3 gigs at Brixton Academy during November 2007 and others around the UK. I went to the first one at Brixton. Having been a teenager in the late 70's and bouncing around my bedroom to the bollocks album nightly. After the gig and walking out I heard younger people, who probably weren't even born in 1978, saying it was the best gig they'd ever seen. Nuff said.
Great legendary band. Love their music and so original
All original members still living and breathing.
Not quite
Guvna07 Original
Glen was there before Sid Vicious was in a band.....that is true the original members are still living :-)))))) But RIP SID VICIOUS i will always remember him!!!!!
sanic is it you
***** That REALLY IS UNBELIEVABLE!
Thanks for posting this video of the Sex pistols live at the Brixton Academy 2007. Me and my brother Phill were at is Gigs. Nice One from Crystal Palace South London.
Glen is such a great bass player.
OMG I would give my right arm to see the Sex Pistols live. Absolutely incredible live, not to mention the amazing eclectic mix of the crowd, half of whom look like they've escaped from an asylum.
Wow! They knocked it out of the park in this performance!
the Pistols really have their shit together for this show
There won’t be much of England left soon
even worst now..Revolt!
Met Steve jones at the BRYAN FERRY concert in Hollywood Bowl 5 years ago - what a gent and rock n roll royalty
I was at that gig.. made the trip from belfast...great gig....nd the MDMA went down a treat
I went to this gig very reluctant (1st of three in a row, 1st being on a thursday if memory serves ) , they proved me wrong, even at that age they still managed to impress me , but I also have to say that at the time I was left with this impression that ALL these songs are so imprinted in our psyche that it would have been impossible to listen to the 1st riff of " Pretty vacant " and not go nuts isntantly . I know I did, great show(s).
Hes got to be one of the best and funniest crowd interactors there is! Every thing he says is brilliant. Im 50 years young! half a century and what a century it was! couldn't have done it with out you. Classic!
Now that's what I call a performance - incredible.
Sex Pistols nailed it. They made one of the greatest albums period. They sound amazing here just like they did in '96'. The songs sound fresh here and Steve Jones is up their with the greastest guitar players. Steve's also a real nice geezer, his talk shows are a must listen.
who the hell had a clue? Saw them at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, Tx in 78...never imagined that one list of songs would be enjoyed into the 21st century...the Great Rock'n'roll swindle lives on generations later. bravo!
The band is on FIRE and John is at his best, the crowd... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!
Wow. Imagine playing a gig like this? Superb all around
Amazing atmosphere. Great, great, great band.
I love the look on Glen's face when John said he forgot the lyrics.
Saw their last show fiasco @ winterland. Fuckin mess. This show 30 years later a treat. Steve, Paul and Glenn tight AF powerhouse. Classic Johnny. Never saw this post and it’s 9 years old WTF Excellent quality thank you 😺 cheers from nor cal USA
A fantastic concert, a direct hit on the head. It's very special and very different. Very different. Sex Pistols, thank you for existing!
Just found this. You've made my year! Thanks so much for posting this. Bloody brilliant!!
this gig looked and sounded unreal...the bands today could only dream of having such a great frontman and such a great crowd to play to.
you're seeing the wrong bands
@@planomathandscience like who do you recommend?
you forget what a great band they actually were musically especially this line up...
The only line up.
Paul Cook is the most under-appreciated drummer in rock history. Same with Steve Jones and the guitar.
The best thing about Jonesy is his tone. Always unbelievable
John “I really have forgotten the words”
Glen: 😟😯
Time stamp?
I am 52 and what is the best record ever? Never mind the bullocks!! :-)
The yellow and pink album with all that energy was mind blowing, and still is..
One of the greatest albums ever.
Its cool cause Johnny doesn`t have to try to be fired up and he is not artifcial, whatever he present himself with that is what he really is and he IS FIRE !
Absolutely fascinated by these punk heroes. Love this gig!
Love, only Love for this wonderful Band.
Best gig on You Tube Period ! Thank You..
thanks!
Certainly the most fun-looking gig crowd I've seen on YT yet. Really kicking myself that I didn't make the effort to go to one of the reunion gigs. It's sad that the press was so sneery about the reunion.
Very nice!!! However, I just couldn't help but notice Jones and Matlock, although extremely tight, seemed to elsewhere. Lydon commanded center stage and Cook still flails those sticks with the energy of an 18 year old. It just seemed there are still animosity with the onstage cohesion. Still with the unit personal problems I perceive, this is one of THE BEST shows I have seen in a long time!
Johnny rotten Steve Jones Paul cook & glen Matlock ( the sex pistols) the greatest English rock n roll band of all time ! The real reasons the pistols where hated in the 70 s just like today is because they told the truth & said the words nobody else would dare say ! There music is second to none ! Johnny rotten one of the the most truthful people there is sometimes it's not nice & it's not pretty but at least it's the truth ! Hope they tour this year 40 th anniversary of the bollocks ! (2017)

Right on.
racer25j 13 and I love the Pistols
Best live band ever, best one album band ever, and a fucking British Institution -and we mean it maaan!
26 and absolutely in awe of the pistols. Never mind the bollocks is one of my favourite albums. Phenomenal
Great show. The Pistols sound tight, and they, and the crowd have the Academy sounding like an old musical hall, 'sing-along' feel to it.
Good to see the boys back and doing well.
One of the greatest gigs & bands of all time.
Fucking awesome video. Takes me back to my youth where I rebelled. The 70’s (and 80’s) was an era where we were all very passionate about our country and the direction it was heading in. Now look at the world today - a mess! You don’t know how precious some things are until you lose them! Thanks for posting
Que grande noite para a história da música Punk e todos os fãs que la estavam.

Are they musicians or Magicians. This was just pure Magic. 4 of the best in the business. Love em
Joined the army in 1977 ... along with Never Mind The Bollocks ..... good old days
Is it just me or do they sound more aggressive and punky as in their heydays.
I agree with that
You have to remember they were young when the made bollocks, more mature now and arguably better voices, but hay you will never ever replicate the late 70s for punk and I was so glad to be part of that movement as a teenager.
I'd bet equipment and crew have a lot to do with that.
andrew colley
They're more proficient on their instruments. Cookie is a beast in this vid.
I grew up with this, the youth today has Little Mix. Suddenly I'm so happy to be growing older disgracefully.
Same 👍🏻
I'm 17 and I'm glad I've grown up listening to the pistols! Haha
Johnny is singing with more authenticity, attitude and balls then any dudes out today with their dance moves and light shows. And his voice is on point maybe even better than when he was in his 20s. And the band is way tighter than it ever was in the 70s. This is how you do a rock and roll show.
Not here, he's in Pil mode far too often.
Es un lujo ver este concierto una vez más. Esta vez sincronizando la TV. Gracias por postear
The only middle-aged rock band I've ever seen that could still cut it, an amazing performance.
Iggy & the Stooges (mkII) in Hammersmith 2010 w/ Suicide as support. First night was crazy, second night a bit more relaxed.
... " BROTHERHOOD OF MAN.... " ... No?...😂
Johnny knew THE future of our world, this describes this millennial age perfectly! !!
This is a masterpiece. A classic from 2007.
There are a handful of rock/punk/metal bands people will listen to 100 years from now and this is one of them. Not J ustin Timberlake, not Justin Beeber, not Jenifer lopez, bruno marz, taylor swift or 99.9% of the stuff we hear on the radio.
People will listen to the Pistols, not becasue they were great musicians but because the music is so original, fun, high energy, authentic and the words actually say something.
