Overnight pub stop in Yorkshire Dales | Vanlife

- We took our camper van to the Yorkshire Dales and camped in a pub carpark with an amazing view of the Ribblehead viaduct and Whernside as a backdrop which is the highest hill in Yorkshire, one of the 3 peaks.
We hiked 9 miles from the pub, tp the summit of Whernside and back and replenished our energy levels with pub grub and beer.
It's great to return to vanlife after a 2 month break due to illness and injury and it showed, we were useless at talking to the camera but, our year is full of exploration plans so we'll be back up to speed soon.
Make sure you check out the station inn pub for great food and atmosphere if you'd planning to explore the Dales, especially if you're tackling the Yorkshire 3 peaks!
Thank god, some normal CZcamsrs. Good see you both bk 👍
😂😂 everyone needs a bit of normal in their lives 👍🏼
I was in a children's home in the 90's and we did the 3 peaks. Pen-y-ghent, whernside and inglborough. It was a killer i can tell you. Anyway later that night we went to that pub for a few shandy's (wink wink) and the land lord and his wife put on trays of sausage rolls. They had one of those old juke box's at the time with vinyl records and we all sat singing American pie, Annie's song and a few others until the early hours. Great memories, thanks for sharing.
That’s a great memory 😁
We attempted the 3 peaks but failed on the second due to injury.
One day maybe
Good to see you folks back. The pub looked like a great time. No problem with easing back into it slowly.
Thank you 🙏🏼
It is a great location, especially as we were treated to good weather 🤩
Good to have you back again 😊
Thanks a lot 🤩
Sooooooo good to see you! 💚

Good to see you again 😃 be careful with that back
More pub visits should keep it in tiptop shape 😉
Great to see you back - had that pub on my list for ages so need to pay a visit. Looks like you lucked out with the weather as well. Hope to see more soon and see you both well and back on form ;)
Thank you 😁
It’s a really good pub, food is tasty and the atmosphere is ace!
Brilliant video, the hiccups made it 🤣 lovely to see you back out and about
Noted… hiccups to be included in future videos 😉
Yay! The Moochers are back. Missed ya!

All good thank you 😁
Fantastic. Missed you both. Welcome back
Thank you 🤩
Great to see you both back. Love that you're sh!t faced too 🤣🤣🤣
I think you’ll find we were just tired 😉
@@Professionalmoochers um, let me think on that?!!! 🤔🤔🤔🧐🤣
Really good to see you guys back, was starting to get worried about you all
Thanks mate 😁
No need to worry about us 💪🏼
Nice round there great little isolated pub least you enjoyed it, filming must be a pain up a mountain sometimes roll on summer
To be honest, conditions weren’t too bad for filming, we just wanted to get up and down before dark 😄
I've visited Ribblehead on a number of occasions, but always avoided parking up at the Station Inn. That many vehicles crammed into the car park makes me nervous from a fire safety point of view. I'm very risk averse, I guess. PS, great to see you back again :)
Granted, if everyone tried to evacuate at the same time, there’d be trouble but, you can also park in a little lay-by opposite the pub (advertised on their website) and still use their facilities if eating/drinking in the pub.
Thanks 😁
Hi guys great to see you back 😃 I get the hiccups when I drink it’s awful but funny 😆 bad back’s no laughing matter ! You should’ve eased yourself into a walk not 10 miles 😆😆 well done on conquering it though. 😍 safe travels guys xxx
😄😁 yeh maybe 5 miles would’ve been better but, at least we burned our pub tea off before we even ate it 😉
@@Professionalmoochers 🤣🤣🤣 true ! 😝
Seeing you guys out there is the only reference we get to van life these days. I almost forgot we had one!! It looks like a great location and after a shitty week at work, those views were the perfect tonic. We'll have to ease into the season with a pubstop get together soon. 🤘
2 months was long enough for us Mal, you must be chomping at the bit!
Worth it once it’s finished though.
You should treat yourself to vanlife festival tickets, should take you all of 10 minutes to get there 😄🍺
Yeah, desperate to get out there. We're trying to get hold of some tickets but it's sold out. Ruth is seeing what she can do.
That changed quick... we'll see you there! 😆
@CampervanHabitude 😄😄 brilliant!!
We can drive in together 👍🏼🍺☀️🍻
Fantastic. It's a plan. Ruth's chatting to Sarah at the moment and I hear you're in North Wales having lit a fire and opened a beer. I, on the other hand, am just about to start tiling in the fecking kitchen. Something is wrong with this picture!! 😆
He is still the second most handsome man on CZcams... Despite the age and the glass back. Nice to see you both out amd about. It's been a long time! 👍🍻
😄😄 I’ll take second best!
Great to have the team back…the first hiccup made my day 😂😂😂
😄😄 they were bloody relentless!
😂
Brilliant, well worth the wait!
You must’ve been drinking 😉😄😄
Good to see you guys back ❤
Cheers 🤩
A long drag up Whernside but at least the weather was kind, glad to see you back 👌👍
It’s long but very gradual, really nice route 👍🏼
@@Professionalmoochers i don’t like the new steps they have recently put in on the other route down especially when wet they are an accident waiting to happen. Take care and hope you have a great year 👌👍
We keep promising ourselves a night there, looks great 😊
Treat yourself, it’s a great pub!
Good to see you guys back, hope you enjoyed the result, the kids were superb. YNWA.
Kindergarten klopp was a joyful watch 😄

Great to see you guys back 👍🏻 we need to do the Whernside walk, looks a great landscape! How did you fix your back Alan?
Thanks! It’s a great route, nice and gradual all the way up 👍🏼
Just moving it. Physio said your body is designed to move so, keep it moving and luckily, it feels like the outer shell of the disc is starting to repair itself 🤞🏼
Good evening, just found your channel 👍are you full time in your van?if yes I guess your working from there. Look forward to watching the next one👍😁😁
Oh god no, we’d kill each other in our little van 😄😄
We work full time and just get away when we can.
Thanks for joining us 👍🏼
Good to see you. How long/ tough was the walk? 🍻
Cheers Andy
The route is really good! Nice and gradual all the way up which means it’s a bit longer, just over 9 miles from the pub and back.
