Well cause the latest 3 Star wars movies are complete shit. Every old Star wars fan is still pissed off about all of legends getting ripped out of cannon and shit on. Disney has killed Star wars for all the fans.

I LOVE the old Syfy channels "original" monster movies but you will NEVER catch me lying to you by saying ghost shark or sharknado are good movies because I love them... I will tell you I love these movies but they are not good movies. This has been a common thing across nerd culture for the past 10-14 years now where non fans or casual fans come into these spaces and try to forcefully change them long after the fact. Often for weird political/social reasons then tell the long term fans to "get bent" if they do not accept your changes. If you expect people to shut up and stay silent when a favorite franchise of their is being done dirty simply because you cannot handle different opinions then that's a YOU problem. And no, the whole "it's a fictional world so it doesn't matter what you do" argument is not going to work nor is it the shut down come back morons online think it is. People care about the canon/lore being respected and done well, when you get the sequel trilogy which is done very poorly to be polite about it... You are going to get the vast majority of the fan base to be upset at what you did. I love the prequels but I'm not a retard, I'm not going to confuse my personal enjoyment with a more critical view of them... They are highly flawed films, however. Unlike the sequels they actually had more heart, soul and care put into them.
