    I'm seeing these showing up on bicycle and walking paths in the cities. The riders ride them like assholes...fast, weaving in between peds. It's all fun and games til someone loses an eye.

    i cant even ride my slow wheel (9.7mph max.) yet and i want one of the 2000 dollar ones. I think Im to old for them cause the little kid in me will run wide open but my 73 year old reflex's will crash and i don't bounce like I used to. Follow the fun!

    Please record with Galaxy S10 in 4k. You can attach it to the stick too. Super stable and ultra quality. This cam has too much compression.

      well i want to yell too when slow ass citibike blocking the path when i'm riding esk8 we just have to be patient well some loose their shit and yell or curse. i don't mind sometime because i know i'm blocking their way..

    • @TheLillianYoung
      @TheLillianYoung Před 6 lety

      NightBot I hear ya. I used to ride before the path got crowded just as a courtesy. I know the path is narrow, especially on certain parts. One biker who yelled at me at that time was flying by like he was on a race track. I’m happy to see e-rideables becoming more of a norm there now.

    So how do the scooters ride? I'm thinking about a speedway 3 or 4. I have a ks18l so I don't need another euc at the moment :)

    • @Thigsy
      @Thigsy Před 6 lety

      Peter Olson Get the Dualtrons. Dualtron 3 or the Dualtron Thunder. Best Electric kick scoot in the world.

    • @peterolson5977
      @peterolson5977 Před 6 lety

      That's a lot to pay when not knowing if I even like a kick scooter... that's why I'm leaning towards the 3 or IV.

    • @CitiWheel
      @CitiWheel  Před 6 lety

      Peter Olson I preferred the ride of the speedway 3 over the mini for Pro. I would go with that if that's what you're interested in

    Aren’t these scooters illegal in NYC? Any tickets or scooters taken away ever?

    • @TigerTT
      @TigerTT Před 6 lety +1

      Most cops in NYC don't care about scooters unless you're being extremely reckless and such on the sidewalk. I have a DYU D1 that reaches 20mph and cops just stare most of the time when riding at those speeds.

  • @TheLKline

    I think people will regret spending a fortune on these scooters, especially in western Europe where the law will undoubtedly be enforced with more stringent punishments for those caught riding these vehicles on public pathways and in parks. Added to that, the manufacture claims are always ridiculously over exaggerated in regard to battery duration and speed. I've owned a few of these scooters and even the so called 'High end' models are appallingly guilty of disinformation surrounding the performance. And that's not the only issue a consumer has to contend with or consider when deciding to buy one of these vehicles. Punctures are a frequent problem, which may not seem much of an issue until you attempt to fix them. Removing the wheels and tires can be an arduous task but still concerningly easier than trying to put the tires back on. And if something goes wrong with the electrics - then you're in major trouble. My advice to anyone thinking of buying a scooter would be to press the company for assurances on refunds & repairs. If you're not completely happy with their response, or they have mixed feed back on customer service, then just walk away.

      I'm the owner of chinese version of dualtron with double 1200w engines and have been riding it in NYC for a period of time now. My thoughts are that this is a really great machinery that can take you very fast wherever you want. I paid 1500 for it and so far don't regret at all. Having it, I became more active, less time at home, more time outdoor. Basically, I visited many places so far, that I wouldn't visit on foot, because walking is boring. Also , the scooter is a convenient tool for commuting purposes , go work, go friends family etc. I'm riding on it on a daily routine and have more fun doing so than taking the train or driving a car, it is very pleasurable activity. To avoid punctuation you have to pick off- road tires, they have those bulges that are safer against flat tire.

      And when it comes to technical parameters the only exaggeration I encountered is its range. I have 26 Ah 67.2 V battery and with my 220lbs weight I can make only around 20-25 miles when riding slowly on 1 engine. For me it is enough anyway, I can go to manhattan from queens and back home on only one charge what satisfy me completely. Speed is exactly as described, with 2 engines on around 45 miles what is enough for me,don't feel like going faster.

    • @therealestmc85
      @therealestmc85 Před 5 lety

      Pawel Powet if you look at the weight for the range specified the companies are probably telling the truth about the range. The only thing is they usually don't pick average size individual for those tests. Like you I am 225 and I doubt I will get the advertised 120 KM for my Chinese scooter which has 42mah LG battery, 5660 watts.

    • @henreebee6561
      @henreebee6561 Před 5 lety

      therealestmc85 and also the fact that they are getting those ranges going at a much slower speed than maximum.
