- Stronghold: Crusader Extreme is an updated version of 2001's Stronghold expansion, Stronghold: Crusader by Firefly Studios. Crusader Extreme is set in the Middle East during the Crusades era.
Stronghold Crusader Extreme includes the following new features:
• New Extreme mode which covers over 10,000 units on the battlefield
• New buildings (outposts generating attacking enemies)
• New tactical special powers (reinforcement, field hospital, rock volley attack, arrow volley, engineer team, spearmen squad, macemen squad, uncover gold horde, call for knights).
• New Crusader Extreme trail with 20 linked missions as well as new stand-alone maps (for single or multiplayer mode).
In addition, Stronghold Crusader Extreme features new AI previously obtainable opponents (The Wazir, the Marshal, The Emir, The Abbot and The Nizar from Stronghold Warchest edition).
It also contains an updated version of the original Stronghold Crusader, which includes everything except for outposts, the god powers and the Extreme Crusader Trail. However if the official HD patch is installed, outposts can be built on maps on the original Stronghold Crusader part of Stronghold Crusader Extreme.

If you are in near death (you are attacked and you cannot protect your castle) at your progress, move your lord to another place and surround him with thick walls and use your superpower to weaken your enemies and bring you up.
I thought I was the only one who did this in a few missions, haha
Its a shame Saladin and Lionheart don't have iron or stone in this mission.. Once the spawners are destoryed they are basically ready for slaughter.

This is basically what the game is about , they are very shitty compared to the normal game. All your strategies and tactics were to stop the spawners and destroy their posts. Then , the game is easy as hell

Once you pass all the trails in Stronghold Crusader, the Extreme is not that hard to be honest

So i played except 3 missions all without. Thats actually a cool challenge.
OMG, I STARTED AT THIS MISSION, NOT THE LOOK OUT MISSION
This game is so fun
I just killed all 4 of them with immediately attacking with mace men and support of the "arrows".
You forgot the rabbits. ..killing them is necessary because they eat all your wheat
I managed to kill off two saladin below the maceman overwhelms me I forgot how I won this way back
I used a different strategy I quickly built 30 assassin n killed Richard then I went after the other Richard (ofc I had to more of them as back up) by the time the 2nd Richard died they started attack me until managed to build my defense n strike back n won

I ended up working my ass off beating the 1st 12 missions WITHOUT using the side bar powers...and it was because I didnt even know it was there. And then I just felt dumb going through all that hell and then beat the game pretty fast
lmao yea, those abilities are important since its very hard
Yes, first missions can be done like that - I also did not used it, because I did not noticed it :-D But later, I dont think its doable without it, for example crossroads.
i have never used the shield so tell me whether it is breakable or once you build it it would stay till end?
It has huge arrows ressistantce, but could be easily destroyed by melee units
How do you switch from archers to shileds without clicking on them pls response :D
+Mesud Softic you can bind troops on your keyboard with STRG + 1,2,3,4,5,6...
Use your Lord to kill the rabbits, target the last one and he will kill most of them

I'm 2 years late, but in the top right corner you have abilities. You can see the spears (spawn spearman troops) but you can also spawn catapults and macemen

On gamespeed 10 anyone is able to do it, master it on normal 40.
this map is super easy! (crossroads was harder for me tbh), they name this one the "challenge" cuz they stick you on top of a plateau so range is your advantage but litteraly no other resource. they give you stone but the enemy will pick your workers off so thats why they say its a challenge plus 4 AI
How to WIN:
when the game starts, put ox carts in front of all the spawning camps, then rush saladim with maceman, his castle is open so it'll be easy, then after u have killed both saladim (lionheart should have a full castle built by now) put 1 literally 1 ox cart in front of his gatehouse, GG
when u do this all of lionhearts outside buildings will get destroyed, his economy becomes 0 his castle locks itself down LOL
u can speed up the game to 90, wait for free gold ability, build more maceman or build up your economy and win the game

this game is needs WAY better AI. horse archers and shields beat literally everything.
Thats not because of AI... I have seen some master gameplays and it was all horse archers with shields :-( Very unbalanced game, but great. It would be even better with some balance mod.
