Thank you for sharing. I had a Pop & Lock installed over 15 years ago and it's now inoperable. Because of your video, I think that this "woman of a certain age" will be able to remove and replace it.
Great job just what I need. I do have a camera too. I had just installed a tonneau cover then discovered NO LOCK!!! so what security did I have? ZERO !! so this helps. I may also add a chain on inside for a quick release to give extra security Thanks again man!
I wonder why the trucks can’t just come with it from factory would help out so much, I tripped out how heavy duty that plastic panel is I thought it was light until I removed mine 😂, Great install man this is a big plus I wonder if the insurance will drop rate with this since it added more protection 🤔 Thumbs up 👍
Thanks for a well produced DIY. Extra props for keeping your language clean. Too many foul mouth DIY videos out there. You deserve to succeed! I’m gonna help a friend do this tailgate upgrade. .
Awesome video. Suggestion for the people here, put some (blue) Loctite on the threads and use a good grease (marine or bearing ) to lube up all moving parts. I just got one in the mail and it was the first thing I noticed. They use a very cheap grease was already breaking down in my hands.
Could we get an update on it hows it holding up I read reviews saying the handle breaks or the lock doesn't disengage after a year or so an update or comment back would be great thanks

I have had mine for 5 years now, and it feels like it could use some fresh grease but is still 100% functional
My tailgate handle comes a back up camera , do I just insert the camera lens in the hole that it comes with? Thanks in advance
I’m not sure my truck didn’t have that option but I’m sure it should fit in the slot you’re talking about
Mine came with keys! 😮
