    If you're having coolant slowly leaking from your system and have to refill once in a while, there is a pipe running under the air intake that is plastic and leaks. $30.00 upgrade part can be purchased from the Toyota Dealership and you can install it as the most essential upgrade to these series of trucks. Going strong for over 200,000 miles now and no payments for over 5 years. Here is to not buying a new truck for another 5 years.

    Locking bed storage box
    Power tailgate lock (did that at the same time as the backup camera.
    Ditched the factor stereo for a nice touchscreen,
    Ditched the horrible stock speakers for components
    Added a kicker Hideaway sub
    Locking lug nuts
    And soon, sound insulation on the doors.
    Also replaced the sock shifter(was really sloppy) and knob(was loose)
    Added a short shift kit.

    I like the hood struts, bed mods would be led lights and probably 12 volts plug, heated mirrors would be a must, all my previous cars had heated mirrors, here in the Quebec Laurentians, it's a must, that is the reason why I won't go LED headlights, I need the heat to keep the snow/ice out....I would love a lift kit and 35 inches tires, but by doing so I compromise the towing capacity, and I need that, more than the looks of the lift kit and the fun of the 35 inches tires....

    • @nullarc977
      @nullarc977 Před 2 lety

      Heated mirrors are a must. I was driving a Gmc savanna cube van from Quebec City back to Ottawa the day after a decent storm. I went through about 2 jugs of washer fluid, and it was running off onto the non heated mirrors and froze. Couldn’t see shit behind me.

    Can anyone recommend a radio? I put one with a screen in about 10 years ago, it seems dated. I put in cruise control, intermittent wipers, bed extender, towing kit and bed lock, bed extender most useful and I use it closed more than open to keep items from flying. With the extender, I put rollers on a piece of wood that is only seen when extended, I put the two boards for hauling plywood, and put a board in the middle so it slides on properly, I use it often. I bought chrome wheel covers that most people think are wheels, on Amazon, about 70.

    Anyone know if 2nd Gen Tacoma from 2012-2015 ever came out with with Factory Rear Diff Lockers on the white long bed? I know the 2nd Gen taco from those year came in with the factory lockers on the short bed on most color but I can’t seem to find it that they did in the white long bed. Tia!

    • @BigChiefWiggles
      @BigChiefWiggles Před 16 dny +1

      As far as I know the locker only came on the TRD Offroad, and the Offroad did not come in the double cab long bed version, so if you want a 4 door long bed you have to buy a TRD Sport or an SR5, neither will have a factory locker in any configuration. This is what I have gathered in my research.
