  • The Boulder boot from Forma offers ultimate agility when it comes to trials riding. With maximum rigidity in the fully-flat sole, the foundation the Boulder boots provide allows for solid foot positioning in tricky obstacles, yet easily accommodates foot movement across the pegs without snagging. The agility only grows from there: the boots incorporate a flexible leather upper to allow the movement demanded from trials riders, making these boots some of the most comfortable riding boots on the market. Protection geared towards trials riding is incorporated into the boot in the form of toe, heel, shank and medial ankle guards, and in true trials-style, is hidden internally so that nothing can snag on the pegs, levers or any other components of the bike as you ride.

Omg those are soooo good looking🤤. I didn’t even know these existed but I think they would work much better for my riding than a motocross boot. I’ll have to look into them.

Just bought a pair of the yellow/red ones. Can’t wait to get em to ride on my 450L!

I got a pair. Sweet boots, very comfortable, can double as an adventure boot. Zero protection though so I put ankle braces inside to help that

Tried wearing my trials boots on my adv bike and was truly playing Russian Rullet, with a couple close calls. Researched a few "adv" boots with more support, but not worth the compromise in safety for me. Right back to full moto boots, and haven't thought about it since. Use Leatt's Tech 7 clone, and they walk well enough. If I want to hike, I just pull out my shoes or chacos. Trials boots have zero ankle support, as in nothing, nada, does not exist. Ankle support is the main thing needed when you have to put a foot down (or worse if your foot gets caught under your paniers), otherwise, you'll rip your foot off.

I have them and like them. Very secure and supportive on the pegs. Good mobility and peg feel as the video said. Riders needing a rigid, hinged, heavily armored boot already know they need to look at full MX boots. Still not wide enough across the toes for my frog-ish feet. Someone, Please make a truly wide natural toe box moto boot for those of us who grew up barefoot. Pretty please with money on top.

Do they have any lateral protection? I see they have the plastic over the toe, heel, and medial malleolus.

@@TommyNitro They are not hinged and articulated like an MX boot to only bend fore and aft, if that's what you mean. They are a good sturdy leather riding boot. But they are not a substitute for an MX boot if that's the level of protection you want.

@@artfulalias3984 I think an MX boot is just too much. I know some advocate for that, but I'm not going to be hitting corners at 80 mph. I'm going to be sight seeing on a dual sport (hopefully). I see these have some protection in terms of impact on the toe, heel, and medial malleolus. I was wondering if they have any plastic under the lateral. Not expecting to stop flexion or twisting injuries like an mx boot. Just curious how they do with some impacts that might happen while riding on the trail.
Also, how do you like them a year later?

@@TommyNitro That's how I use mine. I still like them. I still wish someone would make an even wider toe box. There is a small shield over the inner ankle. There is padding in addition to the boot leather on the outer ankle. Nothing really rigid.

@@artfulalias3984 Thanks for the response! I'm considering these or the TCX Drifters. These seem to be a bit more nimble than the drifters.
