Terrible to have another crime perpetrated by a CHP officer. It's nice to have Cara and her father remembered after 36 years of this crime. Thank you 🙏🌹❤️
Again, thank you for everything you do, Forrest. To enjoy the light, we must remember the dark. You do it with the utmost respect, dignity, and in-depth detail. Your channel deserves more attention, sir.
Love how you honor victims' memories with roses 🌹 May Cara and her father Sam RIP 🕊
This is your second video remembering rogue cops. I've never heard of these cases. Thanks for digging these crimes up.
I remember because they happened when I was in high school and college. They were big news.
2nd video out of how many? This isn't the rogue cop chasing channel you seem excited for lol
It's so painful to think about the trauma the family had to deal with. My condolences.
Damn! her father died at the same spot she was killed... Pour soul, may them both rest in peace!
Another excellent and very well narrated video. Live about twenty miles away from the area and very familiar with the case, but you have provided so many details that were not published during the trial. Thanks.
As a Father to 3 myself this touched me deeply Forrest.Your way of telling the story with true respect for this young women is very powerful.Great channel.
Such a sad story but thank you for making the video. Always quality content.
It is sad. Very senseless. Such a promising young woman snuffed out by another psychopath.
@@forresthaggertychannel4301 A psychopath whom she no doubt trusted as a police officer. Disgusting human being.
My hairs stand up on all your videos. How sad, what a beautiful girl and kind father. What made this guy do this? Thanks for honoring the victims. Your the best Forrest
He thought his uniform could make him pickup women.
36 years ago today. RIP Cara Knott and thank you Forrest for this video.
Thanks Forrest. Perhaps you could cover the escape and capture of John Wilkes Booth sometime?👍
Thank you for giving this sad story your unique attention. My condolences to Cara's family and friends.
A call to his soul was her in my opinion. Probably saying her goodbyes or in a state of confusion at her own passing. Truly sad.
Thank you Forest as always, you do such a great job of explaining and showing locations-- Just sick to think of her on the hood of his car.
Again a Great post.
Thank You for the upload Forrest!!!!
Im so glad you are back!
Thanks Forrest!
I met Cara twice in High school when she was checking up on her brother, my friend. She was a sweet and beautiful young lady.
I even went to my first concert in that car 2 years earlier along with her younger brother and another friend. Her father drove us. Such a nice family.
So horrible what that monster did. I hope he rots in Hell after he rots in prison first.
Rest In Peace Cara.
Thanks for sharing her story, Forrest. ❤️
Thank you for another excellent video!
I really appreciate the time and attention you put in the details. Love your videos!
Quality and Respect as always
Always hitting Home Runs Forrest Haggerty! Awesome videos!
Another great video Mr. Haggerty. I heard about this one a while back. So senseless...
Thank you Forrest, we see these news stories in Australia, but can never get to these locations ourselfs. Much appreciated mate
Thanks for posting this- I had been confused as to the body location vis a vis the overpass after watching a documentary. You cleared that up for me.
I'm so glad you're doing good Forest. I love your videos and I can't wait for more. Thank You sir.
Another great video Forrest, thank you! Please spoil us with at least a monthly vlog!🙏
Now that section of Mercy Road is designated "Cara Way", presumably in her honor, and for all the victims of senseless violence. What a terribly weird place our great nation has become...
Thank you for this information and tribute, Forrest. Very compelling work.
I love every video you do Forrest. I wish you'd do more but I understand that they take a lot of time to complete. Keep up the great work buddy.
Another fantastic short documentary by the king of CZcams.
Always a great surprise when you actually go to the locations.
Fascinating, insightful and always with respect. We look forward to the next one.
Forrest again you are putting out great content. When I watch your videos you bring the reality of it all to history. Thank you for what you do, by far my favorite channel.
Another incredible vid.
The roses were a nice gesture
Thank you Forrest for sharing this sad, but heart-warming video about Cara’s murder & her father’s passing. Living in San Diego, I’ve driven by this exact spot hundreds of times. Next time, I’ll be sure to say a prayer for Cara & her pops, RIP….
Thank you Forrest you have a lot of class
Great video, as always
Great job and sensitivity as always Forrest. The monster murdered two people the young lady and her broken heart father... He doesn't deserve parole ever, stay in prison with the other murderers. Rest in peace Knott Family 💔
Perfect way to end the week, with a Forrest video.
Begin the week.
So much detail. Great job.
Respectfully done...Thank you.
Truly sad. At least they caught her killer and was brought to justice. Great work as always Forrest.
Another great ending to a sunday, thanks Forrest
What a great documentary. Very professionally done. Well done... new follower of this channel.
Thank you very much!
Love your videos ❤Forrest
Great work Sir, I would love to meet you one day.
Great episode.
Amazing content as always. You seriously could have been an investigator of any kind. Maybe even solving cold cases. Your attention to detail is second to none and of course your narration and perfect description of the cases you share with us are just amazing. Very impressive in many ways and things you do to cover and tell these stories. Good man snd great at what you do. 🤙. God bless 🙏
OMG YOUR BACK!!!!!!!! it's been so long!
actually youve always been back, why don;t i recieve notifications.... Well i see theres videos i need to catch up on, thanks for these historic videos and on site visits
Thank you for always presenting things in a humane, factual, non-sensationalistic manner, Forrest. Thank you also for making sure that victims like Cara, and her family, are not forgotten. This type of video is one of the few good things about CZcams.
Interesting. Thanks for your research mate.
Damn what a sad story. Well done as always.
I remember this episode from Forensic Files good video the bright sun couldn't drown out the eeiriness of the site completely.
You are a Saint of Saints, Forrest. What a beautiful heart and soul you have.
Thanks soon much!
Nicely done video. Its nice that the road name was changed to Cara Way.
yay another Forrest video
RIP i lived in Poway so sad love you guys!
I can't imagine a body staying on the hood of a car if those skid marks were from braking. I think it's more likely that they were caused by a "quick getaway" after the body was dropped.
I was Cara's age and living in San Diego when this happened. It was a scary time. That part of the interstate was really dark.
I really enjoy watching your CZcams channel.
Another great video brother from the imperial co California.
Omg that is so sad what happened. She died a week after my 20th birthday, she would be my age today😢. And her poor father🥺💔 . That was very sweet of you to leave the roses. RIP Cara and Sam. 🙏🕊🌹
This is eerily similar to the previous case…may her soul rest in eternal peace🌷Great job, going into the thick overgrowth shrubs is way above the call of duty. Thank you.
I have a video recommendation: what do you think of the Gabby Petito and Brian Laundry story Forrest? It's an adventure that took them across the country and ended in tragedy for both of them ultimately in different places. Would be cool to see their story right here on the forrest Haggerty Channel
Thanks
Very nice and respectful video.
Please upload new videos Mr.Forrest! I check youtube daily for your videos. Watched all your content! Greetings from the Philippines!
He skidded so the body would get dumped to the ground ..
Thanks for another interesting video. Inmate Peyer is up for parole in 2027? No, he can rot in prison right where he belongs.
That he stopped them on “Mercy Road” is an ironic twist. Never go to a secondary location with anyone. I personally knew someone who survived an assault from someone else who was posing as a police officer. Rest In Peace, Kara, and Sam. I’m sometimes astonished that I lived through my 20s during the 1980s.
Hey Forrest! Not sure if you take video requests, but if you have the opportunity, I thought it'd be really cool to see a video on the Zodiac Killer. Anyway, love all your videos ! Looking forward to the next one!
Looks like he answered your request.
The amount of intrigue one feels when you visit the site is unexplainable. I mean it's the last place of her existence. Thank you. May she and her father rest in peace.
I knew her. She was my teachers assistant when I was 8 years old. She was an angel!. I talked to her the day before it happened while at P.E. . It was devastating.
I’m sorry to hear. Thank you for sharing.
I couldn't imagine being in a situation where you should feel the safest, within the presence of a police officer, and have that feeling turn into your greatest fear. A monster hiding behind his badge. I'm just glad they caught him. With his decision to decline giving his DNA, and I feel they should take it anyway (he lost his rights as a murderer IMO), it really makes you wonder what other crimes he may have been a part of? Seems he is hiding something. Thanks for the video and the respect you show to the victims and their families.
His refusal to donate his DNA 🧬 was as good as an admission of guilt.
Forrest, if you go to street view at the coordinates you have for where the body was found, there is a small plaque that reads "LOVE" along with rocks around a tree directly below it. I'm guessing this is exactly where her body was found....
How many times do we all wake up and have one of those "why me" days?..I feel deeply for these parents and especially for fathers/daughters..It is a very special bond..
no idea why we as a society let people who do these things live on in prison.
Good video, very informative, rip to the poor womn. It would be cool if you could cover the UK spree killing carried out by Michael Ryan in the 80s, known as the Hungerford massacre
Hey Forrest. Can you do one on the 1989 San Bernardino Train Disaster? The derailment site is on Duffy Street between Mesa and Donald Street in San Bernardino.
I love the roses
This is one of the most haunted spots in America. Particularly the bridge. Some of the stories would make the hairs on your arms stand up
I didn’t get a sense it is haunted. I got a sense that mentally ill and drugged out people hang around there.
@@forresthaggertychannel4301 Right
I ❤️ your videos 👍
I don’t understand why they don’t just test his dna to evidence of the crime scene - not ask him while he’s in prison to do it! 🧬 👩⚖️
So scary
I remember the events very well... It was astounding how the news piece featuring the killer put him in the spotlight. I didn't watch TV in those days but this was big news all over Southern California, and it was covered extensively in the SD Union Tribune. I did not know how Cara's dad died. I often thought of her when I used to drive that stretch of I-15 before retiring and moving to Az.
What a nice memorial! I'm glad to know that ()@%$@ is still in prison.
I always look forward to these. My dad and I watched the Hitler death location video and he was so glued to the tv
Thats sad
Can you do a vid pertaining to Robin D Adams. Caro MI. 48723. Missing 7-76...remains found 10-10-84. Thanks.
These videos are so well done. Hopefully the CZcams ad revenue is covering the time & expense to make them. A Patreon account could be another option.
Saw this on forensic files
I remember seeing this case highlighted on Forensic Files years ago. Such a sad case, including all the grief Sam Knott went through. I believe that fig tree was probably planted by him.
Peyer needs to rot in jail the rest of his life.
Sam was actually found on the exit ramp (northbound) from Mercy to the I-15. I remember driving past it the next morning and seeing the glass they broke to get into the car. Tragedy. I really hope Craig Peyer is miserable every single day of his worthless life. I drive past this location often. The place has a darkness that will never leave.
It’s the fact having the Flu 🤒 puts you down. Your body fatigue and it’s some of the worse symptoms. Caras boyfriend still got up out of bed to go search for her. Super sad ! This is definitely one of my favorite Episodes of Forensic Files! That narcissistic murderer, even had the audacity to go on live television, and warn others of the danger of pulling over late at night! How dare he? In so many words he warned others in 3rd person ! SMH sicko
Viewing this awful case one has to ask oneself, do the police initiate psychological tests on potential employees. Since this happened in 1986, this question at least for me would be hard to answer unless I did my own research. My opinion even if the police did administer psychological test, the person being tested can always fake responses especially if they are a USDA Grade A psychopath. The fact is anyone can become a murderer under the right circumstances. My question is this-you stated that Peyer placed Miss Knott on the top of his car as he was driving to the dumping site. he must have felt comfortable that no one else would be driving down that same road going in the opposite direction. I wonder how he was going to explain having a body on top of his car if he did run into someone on that same road at that time. As always Mr. Haggerty- your expertise in presenting the details is excellent. Thank you for another great case
The road was replaced with the new I-15 freeway. It was abandoned and blocked off.
WQell done.
The lord giveth and the lord taketh blessed be the LORD
Holy cow what are they chances they found that car that same night
