There have been many wrong takes on Godzilla films not just with Godzilla fans, but even the directors of certain Godzilla films.
Such as the director of the Godzilla vs Megaguirus and Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla. With him stating that the military's weapons and mechas like Moguera were made useless by halfway into the film. Which is one of the most wrong things I've ever heard said about any film.
When literally Moguera was the one to break SpaceGodzilla's crystals, and all the military's weapons were there until the end. With Godzilla vs Destoroyah also having the military's weapons being the only ones left out of all the monsters.
And considering that this is the same director who made Kiryu have Godzilla's bones despite Godzilla's bones being disintegrated in the original film.
Also considering that this quote from this director was used to make a case against the Heisei Godzilla films just shows the lack of knowing what the films actually show.
So saying Godzilla was created by japan is a small oversight compared to literally getting obviously major parts of the films wrong.
Also I wouldn't say this person is a tourist just because they don't know what they are talking about. There are many people who are fans of something who just don't get major points of the film correct.
