    This woman is class personified. Her family must be very proud of not only her achievements but her obvious respect for others .

    It's so wonderful that she's thinking about the horse's physical and mental well-being above all. Beautiful, admirable, and sadly not as common as it should be.

      @@MarkRobertCuthbert - yes, most are SOOO greedy & want to use their horse until they are crippled or drop. So proud of her!!!! Valegro deserves a nice, loooong vacation.

    What a GREAT ATTITUDE. To put your horse 1st over your ego is rare. I applaud you for this decision. Bravo !!! Allegro thanks you and so do many others.

      @lady, I think we should all follow Charlotte's lead in how to treat people and horses with kindness.
      I think you mean what horse would she take to competitions after Valegro's retirement and would it be the same breed as Valegro. Happy new year!

      Shaz Javed, you think that horse did it all by himself? It takes great skill, and years of very hard work to ride as well as Charlotte does.

    • @shazjaved2267
      @shazjaved2267 Před 2 lety

      Well it is a team effort frontloaded by the horse, if the horse cannot jump so high it will not no matter what skill the rider has, as they say you can take a horse to water but cannot make it drink it.

      Lady J horses don't always want to work. you put so much into them they deserve full retirement just line people when you get older why should he work till he gets old

    • @sophk1033
      @sophk1033 Před 6 lety +7

      going from such a high international level, training and competing takes over so much of their lives and although i’m glad he’s been semi retired whilst he’s still fit and healthy. but full retirement, from such a high level, can result in so many mental health issues for the horse. it can be a huge shock to them and most horses enjoy their work, going from that to nothing can destroy them mentally. it’s best if he’s still young, fit and healthy enough to carry on work to do so.
