    He's still alive this is just a video talking about his competition retirement back in 2016 and Charlotte remembering Valegro while he was still in competition work, incredible team lovely to see their story ♥

      I belive hes a dark Bay but he has been clipped, yes he's very pretty 😌

    This horse and rider is actually what inspired me to start dressage. I have no experience at all with anything english. I've been doing western rodeo for 5 years now and still want to do that. This team is amazing!

    Don’t know about horses but it seems wonderful that Valegro was given the opportunity to retire before he got any older! Wonderful ❤️❤️

    Wikipedia says: Valegro is a gelding ridden by the British equestrian Charlotte Dujardin in the sport of dressage. He stands 16.2hh and has the stable name of Blueberry. He is a double World Champion in Dressage, he won Grand Prix Special and Grand Prix Freestyle at the World Equestrian Games in 2014.

    I do show jumping but I just love dressage as well. Dressage I f such an amazing sport and Charlotte and Valero just make it better

      From what I'm aware he's still ridden and hacked every day at home!

    That was actually early - many jumping 20 years old horses in FEI still, also dressage. Mine is 16, and still jumping like a 6 years. Why is he retirering so early? :)

      @@belindastergaard5012 she and Carl said that he had already won every title he could win, so there was no reason to keep going. They wanted to retire him at the top of the discipline, so that people would remember him as the incredible horse he was(so he wouldn’t go out like Totilas)

      My horse foams at the mouth when i ride, its actually very normal to see when a horse is doing physical work its actually seen as a positive as it shows the horse is being ridden correctly and relaxed, because if the horse was tense with bad posture and ridden wrong the salivary glad is inhibited and there mouth goes dry ♥

      Hes still ridden daily and hacked, hes won everything he could have won and they wanted him to retire at his peak.

      He wasnt trained with rollkur. Totilas was.

      Valegro wasn’t trained using hyperflexion or Rolkur . Sadly Totilas was trained with Rolkur and totally ruined his front legs when they began to calcify at the knee joints .Valegro did not lift his front legs in such an exaggerated manner. He was trained sympathetically in order to achieve the maximum and phenomenal success he attained.
