“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
Thank you, Sting.
Perfect comment!
Ur welcome
I cried
I'm not crying, you're crying!
Brilliantly said. 👏
I'm glad they uploaded the full farewell speech. He deserved his flowers for years of great matches and memories.
I feel some type of way man. I know that time does catch up to us all but I just wish Sting’s time did not come to an end. He is truly one of the best of all time and I have always been a fan. Sting thank you for all the great memories. May God bless you always brother and enjoy your time. You deserve all great thing’s.
Full match plese 😢😢😢😢
@@LuisMartinez-le2pc It had to end bruh. Dude has been doing this for 40 years. Bro had the right to hang it up years ago.
@@Mrmedia046 Yeah of course. It just sucks that it has to come to an end. The Stinger is truly one of a kind.
People love to say give someone their flowers. Cringe phrase
he is 64 but doesnt seem like it, even the way he talks, he really aged well.
thank you for all stinger, enjoy the retirement
"Father time is undefeated". Maybe so, but Sting just kicked his ass.
True
Did Sting and Darby Allen retain the titles? If so, at least Sting not only went out the way he wanted, also a tag champion. Even though it's not the world title. It's Sting damn it.
@@thereturnofharlem9030 He got out as champion . Now the titles will be in a tournament.
@@thereturnofharlem9030he actually wanted to lose the match but the guys he was going against refused to win. I think i saw that it took them hours to convince Sting to win the match.
@@steve3663 I think it got too personal when the Young Bucks put their hands on Stings' sons and made them bleed. That's why Sting got so angry. He was wanting revenge for his sons.
The amount of grown Men in the crowd crying is amazing. Thank you Sting! First saw him in WCW in 1992 against Vader and followed his career until now. What a great guy!
The type of people that cheer for Cody
And at home 😢😂

I shed a wee tear watching from home. I'm a grown ass man. I was 7 years old when I became a fan. It's allowed.
Tony Schiavone getting a chance to be genuine was awesome. He is to Sting what JR is to Stone Cold.
Great comparison
So true. Tony schiavone n David Crockett on 80s nwa wrestling 👍.. I watched awa, wwf, then also nwa . Flair, dusty, magnum ta, Nikita, 4 horsemen, rock n roll express 👍👍..pause this at 9:01 and it’s Nikita Koloff n magnum ta in front row 👍👍👍
Best Sting comment ever.
I would love to see stone cold and JR together again
Definitely!
Sting maybe doesnt realize for all us kids coming from broken and abusive homes he absolutely gave us hope and sense of peace for a a few hours every week when there was none. Absolutely beautiful ending and being able to watch it in peace before and after is such a blessing. Thank you Sting!!!!!!
Ok
Thank you Sting for Everything and Thank you For This Wonderful Comment 😌

I was just thinking this
Ty THIS IS VERY accurate...
Thank God for AEW for existing for even making one last Sting run possible.

Hearing Tony Shivani give us one more "ITS STIIIIING" was the icing on the cake! Congratulations on a HISTORIC career Sting!
Made it real... made me tear up all over again... Of everything he's done, I'll forever come back to this night... Highlight for me, was brief teaming with Road Warriors.
Gave me goosebumps all over
How it started and how it ended. I’m going to miss Tony saying that. ❤
Tony’s “it’s stiiiiing!” Is like Jr yelling “Stone cold stone cold!”
Nobody says it like Tony.
What makes Sting's last appearance iconic is that he got to share this moment with his sons, one appeared as Surfer Sting and the other as NwO Wolfpac Sting.
So fucking cool dude
Sting’s whole AEW run was awesome! THAT’S how you treat a legend! Thank you Sting!
And most importantly thank the greatest booker of all time Tony Khan
Thank you Tony Khan for letting Sting get what he deserves and go out in style! am almost 50 and watching Sting for decades him and Flair are my two favorites of all times growing up! Thank you Sting
I THINK TONY KHAN WAS ONE OF STING BIGGEST( AFTER ME THAT IS LOL) FAN WHEN HE WAS A CHILD.
AEW doesn't have ring psychology whatsoever. A 63yr HoF with a no sell gimmick goes over every tag team in your new wrestling company undefeated and retires as champion. 😂

The greatest night in the history of this great sport.
Sting is the reason I started watching wrestling in 1995 at 7 years old. I'm 35 now and people are cutting onions around here 😂
Somebody over here is cutting lemons.
Same story bro 😂
Same here friend I'm 45 and remember him winning his first world championship from Flair at Great American Bash 88 or 89 , I was hooked after watching him & Hogan I'm not gonna lie
I went to the event and I just rewatched it again now that I’m home. And both times I’m still crying in the club over here. 😂
I had to get out, somebody is cutting gas around here.
The fact he got to spend this moment with his kids is the best part of this whole thing.
It is. It's a shame that his father died recently.
@@NateNizzle I'm unclear if Stings dad legitimately just died, or if you're trying to make a Christian Cage reference.
I’ll give Darby credit he went all out for sting and that kid has earned my respect
He'll do anything for attention
I dont know if I call it respect as much as suicidal and wreckless, the glass spot was not neccesary and def shortened hisblong term career even more
@@TimeBomb014X It was a silly spot with him missing his opponent with a good six feet even if they hadn't moved. But he wanted to do it for Sting so I won't complain.
@@grant1739exactly! It’s wrestling! They’ll do anything for attention. Attention gets TV time and TV time equals money.

4 decades... Much respect
And I thought AEW's tribute to Brodie Lee couldn't be topped in terms of raw emotion. But Tony managed to outdo himself with his handling of Sting's send-off event for I was moved to goosebumps. THIS is how you treat talented veterans and old-school icons. Farewell, Sting. You earned it all.
Tony sounded hilarioua
@@weststainesmassif Sounded like a billionaire..
I am so glad that AEW was here to give Sting the final run he truly deserved. This was a flawless run from start to finish, and he got to finish things on his terms.
Thanks for everything, Sting. It's been an honor.
It truly was flawless. It's almost unbelievable. Sting performed WAY above and beyond expectations in pretty much every match, pulling off INSANE daredevil moves that were utterly insane for a man of his age (and SIZE), and he completed his entire 3 years run without being injured even ONCE. The Icon truly is immortal.
Jeff hardy level insane leaps off of balconies
People are really fans of 60yr wrestlers getting a final run. Sting is already in the HoF and a Icon why did he need to go undefeated, no sell, and not put any new talent over?
@@ClarenceBeeks64Yes. Now go cry about it.
Am grateful that AEW was able to show the rest of Sting farewell speech. Take care of yourself legend. You more then earn it.

Most definitely. I had a Sting Takes On The World t-shirt as a kid that was my favorite. I'm barely older than his career, and he's been a hero of mine since I was 5.
Tony Kahn was a class act. He got in, refocused people on Sting and left. That was really cool of him.

@@fabioparovina4650 Taker could barely move by the end of his career. Injuries took a far heavier toll on his body than Sting's. There's a reason his last match was a cinematic pre-recorded match and not an actual match.
@@txcforever i liked the boneyard and loved taker more than every other wrestler, but at that ponit was already too late for something epic as should had been, at least to me.
@@fabioparovina4650 It was good but a good match in front of a live audience while Taker could still go, would be a far better way to send him off.
But they kept him around for too long. As much as I hate saying that, him losing for a second time at WM by Reigns, that crappy squash match vs Cena, the Saudi Arabia matches, all of them kind of deflated the impact of his eventual retirement.
At 37, I've been a Sting fan my entire life. Had the honor of meeting him twice. Thank you Sting for all the memories! One of the greatest to ever step into the ring. Period

By far the best send off to this man's amazing 40+ year Career and I am so grateful to have been along for the journey. Now this man can rest peacefully and safe at the comfort of his home with his family where he absolutely most definitely earned and deserved. For all the issues I have with AEW, the fact that they did THIS for Steve Borden will stand as a landmark achievement as an organization.
He went from having one of the saddest conclusions to a storied career to what’s probably his best run. And it was a joy to watch.
