Yes it is true, because it is easier to score in the NBA now, than in Europe. It wasn't that way in the 90's, when the NBA was the hardest league to get a bucket in. Now it's a joke, a never ending 3-point contest.
well of course its easier to score because the floor is so spaced out tf? if guys on every team can shoot comfortably from 40 feet out ofc the interior and midrange cant be as closely guarded as in the 90s when people werent even worried about long range shots? just a different era stupid to compare 90s defense with todays because its not even the same thing

It is kinda true. Part of the evolution of the game tho. Europeans grow up learning fundamentals, team ball and skills since a young age. And playing for clubs and playing pro early is a big advantage.
I work for a youth club in europe (dealing with handball, soccer, swimming, basketball and gymnastics)
Every year we go through the conversation about load management for children and teenagers. We've seen an increase in physical stress injuries increase (ligament and bone fractures). So now mitigation efforts and rest are part of training starting at 12/13 year old.

The problem with players sitting out is that often times the announcement is made a hour or 2 before the game and by then you already bought your tickets and drove to the arena for lets say 6 hours only to find out your favorite player can’t play even though he can if it was the playoffs. It’s insane how the NBA just THIS year addressed this issue. At least give back 50% of the money I paid for the tickets. Completely agree with Mookie with everything else. Great Video.
I’ve forgotten the stat but it was like by the time a player in Europe will have reached the NBA an American reaching the NBA will have played 4x as many games, thats so much extra wear and tear on the body
I agree. And I think this is the reason alot of oldheads think the 80's and 90's were better. Why is Luka called "Baby Bird"? When Bird and Magic and a bunch of others joined the NBA, the league at the time was a selfish league. THey changed it and it was AWESOME!! Team basketball.
When I watch a game, I might have a favourite player on that team, but, at the end, I want the team to win!!! Boil it down, I'm a Nuggets fan or a Celtics fan or a Lakers fan or whatever.
America has forgotten that this is a team sport.
