It goes back even further than Thatcher. Winston Churchill sent troops to our city when there was a strike for better pay, they shot dead one of the protestors, he also, sent a warship into the Mersey River threatening to fire upon the city. No one in England supported us, definitely not our Monarch. That is why Liverpool boo the national anthem at each match. We have a banner it says
"Scouse not English". Our city is closer to the Irish and Welsh. 20:39

Liverpool is my team ❤ They have played amazing football for decades, revolutionised the beautiful game,, great managers and players and won so many trophies but it's the spirit, heart and community that is wonderful ⚽❤️
(Margaret Thatcher the horrible tory tried to destroy the North of England and we hate the rotten royals too)

11:38 - It was overcrowding, yes. It was also negligence by the police that, among other things, falsified documents and downright blamed the fans for their own demise telling lies about what happened. Years later an inquiry brought the truth out and cleared everyone who was at the stadium that day. The blame was put where it should've been from day one. Justice for the 97.

26 years to believed. My grandfather passed away last year STILL believing that it was the fans’ fault. ALL because of the media.

Liverpool is like the Boston of England, With lots of Irish and Welsh descended people. It is the place where the rest of England look down upon because it is considered less English than other cities in England. True story it started during the American civil war, because Britain supported and aided the North in this conflict but Liverpool was the only city that aided the confederacy because they wanted the American cotton because they were the biggest port city and this caused outrage in England they became ostracised due to this and were called scallywags, but the cities had the oldest black community in England and was more left wing presently

Aww thanks boys, that was a trip down memory lane for me 👍 I was born 1960 in Toxteth, the mixed race area of Liverpool back then, ☺️ you should check out the Toxteth Riots documentaries, and Jimmy McGoverns "Hillsborough" when it was announced on the news Thatcher had died I started singing Ding Dong the Witch is Dead and apparently so did a lot of people because it went to number one in the charts within a week and the government BANNED the radio stations from playing it 🤣🤣🤣

As an irish liverpool fan im proud to support such a amazing club for nearly 47 years now. Its more than a football club its a family forever. I love the city , love its football club , love its music , i respect Everton as massive club also. But it is its people red or blue that i love the most. They are the most irish people outside of ireland. YNWA97

My family all come from the North West but I was born and grew up in the South West, I can say that the Thatcher government absolutely targeted Liverpool, not only to try and squash the spirit of the City , but as warning basically to everyone else too.
I live and was born in Bristol which is actually closer to Liverpool in terms of having its own unique Identity , with another similar aspect happening in Newcastle. All 3 cities are quite different but they have similar aspects. Bristol like Liverpool and Newcastle is a similar size, and was a major port, like Liverpool, huge Irish Immigration, has its own musical sound (the Bristol sound = Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead, Roni Size, Smith & Mighty etc) considers itself somewhat its own thing and different to a lot of the rest of the country, however, although there are real area's of Poverty in Bristol there are also more wealthy areas than Liverpool or Newcastle, but all 3 have certain common aspects and history elements and consider themselves somewhat their own thing. However I think both Newcastle folk, and Bristol folk would still consider themselves English.
I do honestly think Liverpool continues to be messed with by the powers that be today, it goes beyond Thatcher. Anyway, the general point of this word salad is that much of England has been brainwashed by media into thinking of Liverpool as victims, when at the same time the UK establishment has targeted the city and tried to make an example of it.
(BTW for all my UK peeps, I have only lived in the south west, but I have been pretty much EVERYWHERE in terms of different cities in the UK, you get a feel for places due to that)

It's no offense to these two guys, I like them and I'm subscribed to their channel! But, when seeing some videos of Americans reacting to something outside the USA, it is notable that a large part of American citizens, in addition to not knowing geography (which justifies the jokes about this), also do not know politics or history. They are even unaware of Margaret Thatcher (who for better or for worse...yeah much ,much more for worse) is a historical figure, known as ''The Iron Lady''! Ok, no one outside the UK needs to know who Gordon Brown or Liz Truss is, but not knowing a famous recent figure...is...is...is...(adjectives escape me) .
Then the channel boys mistook Thatcher for the Queen and mistook the city of Liverpool for a country...
And it is strange that a country that wants to keep all the countries in the world under its control, domination, and yoke keeps its people in complete ignorance and ignorance about this world that they want to govern.

Pure fantasist fans even though we have a small number in our large family who support Everton, Liverpool are the real people's club in our city, Up the Reds! RIP the 97 YNWA.
