So the idea of having a front yard of rocks and succulents is backwards. You should/could have a lawn, just cut it at the highest setting your mower has, with a mulching mower that leaves the grass tips on the grass. This will capture more rain and carbon.
Maintaining a lawn also requires fertilizer and pesticides. And the roots of most lawn grasses are short, meaning they don't capture much carbon. A rain garden is a great way of capturing rain, and native plants are a great way of capturing carbon.
There is something the matter with what you are saying. i listened to 15 minuets and most of it was not about the solution you offer. So if the solution works, why do you not talk about it?
@@fionasavage1 look. I do understand the solution. It will take some serious reeducation and a substancial change in the way land is managed by individuals. If it can be done it could work. The problem is that individuals dont all think alike and hate being told how to run their land so this cant be thought of as a real world solution. It's just like asking people to have less kids.
