- Here is Terry Scott's hilarious comedy record "My Brother" which was released in the late 1950's.
Sorry about the picture, but it was the best I could find and I didn't want you folks staring at a blank screen which is very boring indeed...
Enjoy! - Hudba
Aah, every time I hear this I'm immediately back in the early 70's and it's a Saturday-morning - then it'd be something like 'Sparky's Magic Piano'' or Charlie Drake's 'My Boomerang won't come back' - lovely, warm, sweet memories !
Little white bull by Tommy Steele , A house in Amsterdam [ mouses song ] by Danny Kaye , Froggy went a' courting by Burl Evves the list goes on and on ...Happy days .
As a little girl listening to Ed Stewart on radio 2 over the weekend, brings back fond memories
My sister and I used to listen to that too
Same 😊
A classic song and great memories from Terry Scott Ed Stewart always played him on junior choice and how we miss Stewpot
Does anyone else remember Terry doing the 'Curly Wurly' adverts, in the 70's...hee hee... He was also on a couple of Carry-On films too... and of course Terry & June.. and June Whitfield plays Edwina's mother on ''Ad Fab''... Brilliant actor with a real cheeky grin... LOL :0)x
i Really enjoyed listening to my brother by Terry Scott. Brings so many memories back of my childhood. And I’ve shared it with my friends
This Brings back childhood memories I loved this song as a child in the early 60's
Really good song!! From my childhood, the greatest days ever!!!! So good to hear again, love it, and love Terry Scott too xx💛
BTW. today's children will sadly never know what fun, and the freedom we had in those days. A chance to grow and explore, and not a mobile or computer game in sight.
Great song sung by Terry Scott. Those wonderful childhood memories. Britain in a bygone era. You can imagine Terry and his brother wearing grey flannel short trousers with a snake belt, school blazer, cap, long grey socks and brown lace up shoes. Not forgetting the must have accessory. The catapult😂. So much innocent freedom back then. Magical 🎉.
Ah memories . Love this little song . oh to be a kid again in the 50's and 60,s .... Sorry l,m getting nostagic .
"Pinching girls up the high street."
My favourite line !
Thank yopu x x
My grandad always used to play this to me. What a classic
I love this song! Hilarious!
Hahahaha, my grandpa sang this to me n my lil bro ...I'd never heard it for real....awesome, great humor, n definitely about my brother...lol...can't believe this is from the 1950s, Geezus, 60 years ago...things ain't changed that much after all 😂. 🚼
Every night when we;re wide awake she makes us go to bed and in the morning when we're asleep she makes us get up...so true
As a teenager, I used to love listening to this, “Camp Granada” and others played on Ed (Stewpot) Stewart on Saturday morning radio… before I finally got up.
This my childhood in this record 😊
this is just soo funny...and for anyone who has a brother, it just feels so true!
Right
Correct ♥️
Ed Stewpot and Family Favourites was a staple in our house when we were kids and this brings memories FLOODING back!!! How wonderful to hear this again!!
Still funny after all these years.
This song makes me laugh literally EVERY time I hear it. Only problem is, I keep thinking of Penfold from "Dangermouse" when I hear the guy's voice!
+SuperSongbird21 He was the voice of Penfold :)
I know, that's what I meant
had this on a record called all aboard...i loved it all...happy memories..
I had that, it was only a taped copy though, so I didn't know what the LP was called until recently.
All aboard LP brought me back here . Thanks for that gift dad . It’s 1983 and I’m 2 yet I can remember it
I so recall hearing this in the 60's Loved it then and still do LOL
classic, i put this on in pub just to see reaction, brilliant
trawling through you tube, its amazing what jewels you find...like this....so funny.
So precious
we used to listen to this when we were kids from an album called "all abored" love it.
Ah yes, early 1970's, when Children had a childhood and not looked at as small adults. BBC Radio Junior Choice. Those were the days, Terry Scott, Sparkys Magic Piano, not to mention Charlie Drake's 'Please Mr Custer' Rolf Harris 'Jake the Peg', Bernard Cribbins 'Right said Fred', and so many more.
I love this song, it's one of my grandad favourite
The original meaning of the word PHWOAR - which my Mum still uses when she detects a bad smell. Love this song! Thanks for posting it and lightening my work break.
When I saw that ad I remembered that old classic. Millions would think its original. Great stuff....
I have this album and I'll never let it go thanks for uploading.
"What have you had in your hand? Have ya? Phwoar."..makes me laugh every time.... Brilliant performance...
Brings back memories.
This is basically his Penfold voice.
I hadn't heard that in YEARS! thank you so much for posting.
Wonderful. rest in peace Ed.
The genius of this record is that it is not just a great British Comedy Classic Record, the genius of the record is Terry Scott Impeccable Comic timing on this song.
With out this fact, this song would not have come across the way is does.
It is obvious why comic songs vanished away, wen you listen to unique comedy songs like this.
When singing comedy songs, you need the VOICE as well as the comedic talent.
Terry Scott had both of these talents in great abundance.
Literally my brother😂😂, a little shit at times but couldn’t think of life without the little sod 😂
my 5 year old nephew sings this word for word! haha i love this song :)
I had the very same "All Aboard" record when I was little too. And guess who's got it now and didn't even get anyone's say before he took it. My Brother.....tut-tut-tut.
I've still got a copy
@@dannyboy6114 I’m sure it’s available on eBay or something at an extortionate price. 🙄🙄oh well.
I love it ,thanks for sharing x
A time of innocence
i remember this when i was young. im 53 now. we had a wind up his masters voice gramaphone and this was on one of the brittle records which ws all there was then. we also had harry lauder's ill take the high rd and there was another called oh charlie take it away!!
My daughter has 6 month old twin boys and sings this to them, they love it

That's cute!
This is wonderful - would love Terry Scott to contact. Dad had a similar sense of humour which kept us all going. . . Love 'my own brother' to bits even now.
Omg I remember this one so funny
Takes me straight back to Ed Stewart's saturday and sunday morning radio show in the 70s. Alan Price The Jarrow Song and Popcorn also come to mind. Oh yes, and the theme to Black Beauty.
Ed Stewart, Saturday & Sunday mornings on Radio 2
+Nubian Queen And Stewpot's Sunday afternoon show on R2. RIP.
How I remember this radio programme fondly.
It's my childhood.
They used to play this every weekend without fail.
Wonderful.
It brings back all my childhood memories.
Brings back so many memories. I'm going to save this as a ring tone and assign it for when my big bruv phones me :)

Brilliant! Takes me back to Childrens Favourite's back in the fifties.
Me too..I had the album All Aboard! Fantastic memories!
Hello!
The B/Side to this one was a song called "Don't Light The Fire 'Til After Santa's Gone"
All the best
Who put laxatives in the tea
Topped up dad's beer with pee
Who threw grandad's teeth in the sea?
My bruvver
heard this on the one and only danny baker's bbc london show a few weeks back. one of the only presenters with the balls to play something as leftfield as this at 3pm
im 20 and i think this is brilliant it more old items need to be brought into new childrens lifes wish there was more innocent things like this around now
The lyrics are pefectly clean, it's only your mind that's dirty!
aint heard that for decades, brill nice one
So many memories listening to this on local radio station
This would make a great ringtone !!Brilliant
I also have this on the All Aboard album on vinyl without the sound effects I remembered from Junior Choice, I'd just about given up on finding the true version, thanks so much for uploading
love this song i need to sing it in a play i am doing in july and august. i just can't wait
God knows how many years later and we still wonder what was in his hand Lol
To begin with i thought dog poo but after a couple of listens i think it's his todger (also possibly the thing he drew?)
Arrrr Terry Scott this song is a classic and brings me joy and happiness and great memories
What a fantastic song and great memories from Terry Scott
Can't get this song outta my head now I heard it, daayyammm
Uncle Mac used to play this on childrens choice on the light programme before radio 1 and 2 came along
remember that?
Ah those long lost days of 'Childrens favourites', Uncle Mac, Archie Andrews etc.
was looking for this song as it fits my grandsons lol
This was played on 25th Dec on junior Choice now on Radio 2 one of the most requested records ever by played by Annia Rice
Not heard this before- thanks for the share. I liked Terry in the Carry On films and Terry and June. Some critics run that show down but its better than anything thats on the BBC now...
In one of my Broons and Oor Wullie collections, there is a poem about Oor Wullie and the words fit this tune.
wish i could get this on cd. remember it from when i was young.
What a brilliant song!
brilliant I love it
brilliant, nuff said!
Hard to believe that this is 50 years old this year! Loved it when Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart used to play it every Saturday morning on BBC Radio 1 in the early 1970s.
The spirit of Penfold lives on.
My my favourite is when he says who lock grandad in the loo just cracks me up even though I'm not a mirror
Oh I remember this one from my childhood days!
Love this song xx
Love my brother to bits but he stills try my patience even now.
This always makes me laugh
me too!! i am on youtube trying to convince my friend that the 'gnu song' (also on all aboard) actually exists after i have been singing it all week!! now seeing what other classics i can find!
If my memory serves my correctly (and it usually doesn't) this record was banned by the BBC because it was too rude.
How very creative - I love it
I got a dog whose black and white
Who dug a hole in the. Sofa at night
But I love my dog with all my might
My beautiful cuddly doggo xxxx
I'd like to add another verse
But I'm afraid it will just get worse
And use rude words and make you curse
My black and white border collie
This song is not very long
It's not really even a great song
And when my dog farts it dun arf pong !!
My doggo
This verse is the very end
A song about my bestest friend
He be with me to the very end
My beautiful gorgeous border collie doggo XXXXXX
Hiya!
Thanks for your kind comment. I've always loved the song and I hope your kids enjoy it too.
Take care
We always listen to this when were on our way to alton towers lol
Hilarious song !!
We did this once for an assembly at primary school as "My Mother".
I found this on a CD compilation a few years ago, but it didn't have the sound effects. Almost forgot about those! Another 40-something who heard this on Junior Choice with Stewpot in the 70s.
OMG had this record bought for me when it came out first. B side, Don't light the fire till after Santas gone.
