  • Making your own style of soap is easy as 1-2-3 with Melt & Pour! Melt & Pour soap is soap that is already created for you and all you have to do is add some of your favorite ingredients and TA-DA! You have your favorite soap!
Today I’m going to show you how to make a Honey & Oats bar with a coconut soap melt and pour base. This is a craft that can be fun for the whole family. These also make the perfect gift too!
Here’s a list below of the items I used in today’s video:
    Coconut 2lb MP Soap - www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com...
Soap Trays - Aoibrloy 104pcs Silicone Soap... www.amazon.com/dp/B08NK2SCKS?...
Scale - My Weigh KD-7000 Kitchen And Craft Digital Scale, Silver + My Weigh AC Adapter www.amazon.com/dp/B01G4EI5DE/...
    Coconut Fragrance Oil - www.cierracandles.com/Caribbe...
I melted 2lbs of the soap, do so in 30 second intervals, until all is melted. Do not over heat.
Add 1 1/2 tablespoons of Honey to melted soap
Add approx 3 tablespoons of oats (or whatever your preference is) to melted soap.
Add 54 grams of fragrance oil to melted wax
(I got this FO calculation from the Wholesale Supply Plus fragrance oil calculator. Always check the FO calculator for the correct amount for any batch you make. Essential oils have their own amounts as well. Make sure to check the amounts for EO.)
Stir all ingredients together and then pour.
I did sprinkle a layer of oats onto the bottom of the molds before pouring the soap in. Spray mold with rubbing alcohol, just a light spray, sprinkle oats, spray with rubbing alcohol again, then pour soap into molds. To get rid of the little bubble that may appear, lightly spray the tops of soap bars with rubbing alcohol.
Let soap harden (about an hour) then ENJOY!

Loved the video, it looks super easy. I've been thinking of making soap with my daughter as a fun project. Had a question for reference. What size is the coconut fragrance oil in this video? Also, I'm a cat dad with an orange tabby too and I love Nugget.

Just found your channel. Love the video and look forward to trying this craft. How much do you sell the bars of soap for? TIA

I love the soap diy. I've been meaning to do this for awhile. You make it look easy - I may finally do it. I really love essential oils and I'd like use them for this.
Question: what cool ideas do you have for using all the sturdy, leftover cardboard spools from the ribbons I finished using? I can't seem to throw them out. They're much tougher than paper towel and toilet paper spools. I'm hoping you ll figure out something useful for us to do with them!

I couldn't believe how easy it was to "make" the melt and pour soap either! I'll be doing more tutorials where I color them and use other added ingredients. It's definitely one of my new favorite DIY's.
and as for the spools....I haven't found anything YET to do with them. I save EVERYTHING and I have a few myself. I'll look for a cool craft with them!

Hi, is there anything more natural to use to substitute the alcohol?

Coul i use colloidal oats instead of the regular oats?

I would think so BUT just make sure that they hold up. Make one soap to see how well it performs before making a giant batch.

Hi, I just made the made soap, I love the outcome but it still had the bubbles in it, I sprayed the top and bottom with alcohol so I’m confused on how come the bubbles still appeared?
