    Shea Butter & Honey Soap
    Materials:
    1 Double Boiler
    Soap Molds
    Ingredients:
1 Lb. Melt & Pour Soap Base
    2Tbsp. Of Shea Butter
    1 Tsp. Of Raw Honey
    1 Tbsp. Of Beeswax
1 Tsp. Of Preferred Essential Oils
    Instructions:
    1. Chop soap into 1” x 1” chunks
    2. Place soap into a double boiler
    3. Do not boil the soap, just heat it enough to melt it
    4. Once it’s melted, add the Shea Butter, Beeswax, and Honey and continue
    to melt the mixture
    5. If you want to add color, add it now
    6. Ensure you keep mixing until all the colorants have dissolved into the soap mixture
    7. If you are going to add essential oils, let the soap mixture cool a little, then add 1 tsp.
    of your desired oils
    8. Add soap to soap molds
    9. Place the soap in the fridge until hard.
    (Makes 5-6 Soaps)

Hi, I'm new to the world of soap making and actually i'm trying to make shampoo bars instead of soap. Now, from the research I have so far done, there are only two ways to make your shampoo thick and "shampoo-like": 1/ by using lye to saponify, or 2/ by using glycerin based soap bases. Is this correct? I made a shampoo by boiling some herbs in water, but of course it is watery, and I want it to thicken up like regular shampoo. Please could you suggest the best way of turning a watery shampoo into one that doesnt pour down your face? Either thickening the water mixture or turning it into a bar.

I made this soap yesterday and I LOVE how it makes my skin feel! Question: Since this is a moisturizing soap, should I still use a facial moisturiizer?

I’ve only used Goat Milk soap before. Is the Shea Butter soap base just as lathering? Thx…

Hardens the bar and it’s a natural moisture barrier to lock moisture into skin
