This is an AMAZING song and a GREAT tale! I can't believe what I am seeing, but this is unlike anything Sabaton has ever done and its FANTASTIC!
The tale takes place on Christmas Day in the middle of World War 1 in the trenchers, where bullets fly, grenades explode and people are killing each other. And all of a sudden, one of the soldiers just walk up from the trenches, hands in the air. To make CHRISTMAS TRUCE.

"Stille Nacht Heilige Nacht" and the english at the other transh heard that and started to sing "Silent Night" too.
War is only made by the higher ups for different things. But we are all humans Brothers and Sisters its such a shame that we sometimes forget that.

This song was just amazing, powerful and the Piano makes it epic, Sabaton has done it again, amazing storytelling and an amazing video to deliver the story.

This is one great piece of music here. Sabaton proves me right in my assumption, that some people are just made for music. Lately, I listen a lot to Russian music and realize, that Russians and Scandinavians both have a natural relation to classical music which distinguish them from the mainstream, no matter what their genre actually is. Another common thing is their feeling for dramatics, dramaticaly shown by Sabaton in this video.
On the other hand, they definitively would have been court-martialed for those haircuts in uniform.

@@GivenToe I wouldn't say that they are totally different. There is lot of Swedish pop heritage in sABBAton as well (as in many other Swedish metal bands).

Well, I guess the best introduction to Nightwish live (they are at their very best LIVE) and Floor's voice, would be 'Ghost Love Score', live at Wacken 2013. It was performed in front of 82 000 people. If you do a reaction to this song, the Nightwish fans will soon find you and give you plenty of song suggestions, so I'll just leave it at this one... 😊

The great thing with Nightwish is that none of their songs are alike. There are epic and melodic songs, but they can also go really heavy on you and the next song could be very celtic sounding or even jazzy. So there's a lot to explore. And they have Floor Jansen, one of the best female vocalists in metal today. She can sing with an operatic approach, pop, rock and even grunting. Enjoy! 🤘🏻

Absolutely brilliant. Sabaton is much the same as Nightwish, in that they use music to tell the story and they are so damn good at it that it hits you hard every time. It should come as no surprise that Hannes, their drummer is husband to Floor Jansen whose angelic and operatic voice you hear at the end.
Every Sabaton piece is a history lesson. Indeed, lest we forget, as there are those who as we speak are trying to erase our history and separate us from our past.
