      absolutely, Ange is a hard man, his way or the highway type manager, a stubborn, stern Greek like his old man. Prem will be his biggest test though and Levy and co will need to back him in to get Tottenham entrenched in the top 6 again if not winning some silverware. It will take time and patience.

      @@StevieMoore68 He has never played anywhere where his defence has failed him. Every player in his team is a defender, from front to back. If all players do their job, it won’t be defence that will undo him. The disparity in wage bills makes the challenge. He’s gone from a two team league where Celtic is one of them, Spurs are an 8th best club. He will improve them, but there are about 10 other clubs with the personnel to end up ahead of them, no matter how much he improves players and teamwork. Maybe more with teams due to improve this season. It’s not the best league in the world because it’s uncompetitive.

    Best of luck to Ange. Spurs fans are in for a treat. There is basically a whole new team coming back from expensive loan deals. Eleven new players really. It actually covers almost every position Spurs armchair fans have concerns about.
    Right wing, Left wing, Central midfeild, Attacking midfield x 2, two right wing-backs, 2 left wing-backs, Centre back and Goalkeeper.
    Solomon you've a guy loves counter attacking from outside to in, likes to head for the penalty spot from the touchline and make important passes. Goals too. With another Centre back next up, that just about does it, with plenty of time for one or two surprises. Probably a striker and a play maker who doesn't suffer from claustrophobia on the ball. You have to shift it quickly so you don't get tagged and injured, but more importantly to try and get to three goals as quickly as possible. Football's a quest to see who can get to the opposition's penalty spot, the fastest, through intelligent movement and efficient finishing.
    Scott Brown used to help out with bringing kids through at Celtic, and all he had to do was give his inside tips on where to position yourself at certain moments in the game to make defending easier, how to drop off when you need to, if you're playing against a faster opponent.
    So i reckon the ones fans don't have much faith in, if they are true athletes, Ange can get them tearing up and down the channels.

      There was an old fashioned English style of playing from the 80s and 90s that is no longer in vogue in the Premier League. It's not an incorrect statement at all.

    • @dannyneville1310
      @dannyneville1310 Před 9 měsíci

      Liverpool were the best team in the world in the '80s. The myth of English teams playing long ball football persists. The Totteham and Leeds teams of the '60s and '70s played great football, as did Manchester United in the '90s. Sure, the league had rough and ready teams, but it is complete nonsense to claim that English football was 'route one' for any extended period of time.

    English football hasn’t been long ball since the 70’s. It’s like Billy Nick, Shankley, Clough, Robson and Ferguson never happened.
    What lazy bs that is. Howe is English and outside City an Arsenal Newcastle play the most entertaining football.
