You run that thing in London and all the senior citizens will be running for cover.
v-1 rocket joke
100%
Well. They won't start running till it stops making noise.
Actually the first thought I had was “Could I make a buzz bomb with this?”. Terribly antisocial thing, ungoodthink.
@@gerryjames9720 come on! u build something and it doesn't annoy the living shit out of your neighbors!!... that's no creation at all..
Do it. *_DOOOOOOO IT!!!!_*
😝😝😝
When i was in high school our power mechanics class had a small pulse jet engine that we would work with in the shop class, amazing what you could do in 1975 era classes. Was a blast to fiddle with
Yeah in 99 our shop teacher let us make knives. He was making his own wooden stock for his rifle with the metal mill
I really admire this guy's craftmanship.
Love the Vise-Grip band clamp idea with the tack holes in it !.
Learn something new every day !
That is quality workmanship. I work in the aerospace industry and we use mostly CNC machine tools, as impressive as they are, they do not come close to manual skills such as yours. Amazing work, and a joy to watch. Thanks.
wait, really? the CNC tools ive seen used in industrial aerospace applications can be accurate to less than a micrometer even on extremely large scales
@@blakes8901 WHAT THA FUK IS A MICROMETER!???
ONLY INCHES
Ya really need to collaborate with Colin Furze. He brought me here, and I bet you two could learn a thing from each other.
More like colin can learn from Bob
Love the tacking clamp for round sections!
Keith Ward big oil filter wrench with tacking holes .Band wenches have been around a long time !
Piston ring compressor works the same as well. :-)
I like how you “cleaned” your garage floor at 11:28.
That alignment band clamp for TIGing the chambers together is the bees knees! I would certainly enjoy seeing the build video for that thing; very clever.
This guy is my hero. I love seeing the stuff he fabs together.
I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction just watching this skilled craftsman build and test this engine Big Respect??
Great craftmanship. Good work man, and to everybody ... do not forget that genuine piece is invented and developed in good old germany.
Hermann Krenz Actually the idea of pulse jet was already known. They just used it for bad purposes.
I cant believe I havnt seen these videos up on CZcams till just today. This is so cool.
You are quite AWESOME!!! Thank you from all of us who live through you vicariously!
✌😎👍
That reed cage is incredible. Took me back to working on two stroke motors when I saw it .
Some really good Tig welding and fabrication there dude.
That landscape though.. Beautiful, beautiful jet too.
Been watching pulse jet videos a little bit and yours was very well explained and demonstrated. almost feel like I understand them now. Oh, yeah. Wipe that smile off your face lol.
Super explained, thumbs up, who has seen it once and heard it, becomes addicted to the sound. In any case, I'm doing this, so I'll build some too. AM from Germany
Bob, thanks for the in depth response! This will be fun. The physics behind these engines is elegant even though they sound... well, kinda loud. Exhaust nozzle shape interests me. Have you looked at flared vs straight vs tapered, what effect?
I don't believe there is a difference, I just flair the ends on bigger engines because it make them stuff, the sheet metal is then.
OK, we'll try it. On supersonic flows, flaring increases thrust. On subsonic flows, tapering can increase thrust or choke the engine to stop. Within the exhaust pipe the velocity exceeds 2,000ft/second, but this is subsonic at 2,000 degrees F. At some point, the cooling gas becomes supersonic (loud). Ya gotta love it.
Loud shoot my dad built a ratrod when its turned over it breaks the sound barrier.
I just found my new favorite CZcams channel! Thanks
tig welding it's so smooth and clean..
Excellent workmanship
Okay, just subscribed. Alternate title: "Fun with TIG welding" !
I was waiting for this!
I love pulse jet engines! A friend and I built one out of 2" pipe back in high school. Very noisy beast! Much higher pitch than these. Scared the living crap out of ourselves first time it started. We really were not prepared for how loud it was! Plus, we were already kind of nervous about the whole project. I mean, we were pumping gasoline into a metal pipe with a spark plug in the side... what could go wrong?
Why is it that me and my friend are doing exactly the same thing.
Well now that makes 6 of us... 😆
Outstanding craftsmanship!
Very cool! Fired right up! I would love to hear/read about how you designed some of these things.
This is way too cool. Loud , hot, fire and speed !!!!
I love Kari Byron!!!
Es lo mas asombroso que he visto!
Lo mejor sin duda alguna.
Great video! Do you notice a difference in thrust between gasoline and propane? Does one fuel run a little cooler than the other over extended periods of use? Also are you able to throttle the power via fuel supply and how does it effect it's efficiency while powering a vehicle in motion?
Just having a blast! Way to much fun.... Good way to wake the neighbors or an entire town on a Sunday morning! Hahaha!
Congratulations!! Great work!!
Hi bud,
I like watching videos like yours, very informative, using a grinder without a guard, is bloody lunacy.🤪
You need a C.N.C. plasma cutter. If you partnered with an ultra light aircraft designer, you could turn this into phenomenon.
wow that is awesome kinda glad I found your channel.
You sir, are what America is all about. Bravo!
This is the guy responsible for people hearing the “end of the world” or Christ returning angels sounding their horns sounds that people hear all over the world haha. That echo was insane
Too bad he was a flat earther.... He could've changed the world but he had to go blow himself up... Google it lmao
@@jintermont I wasn't able to find anything about him getting blown up. You got any links?
@@jintermont Any kind of proof for this? I googled "it" but no results show up.
Beautiful work!
Your smile says it all. Great !!
Love the grinder guard
Love you site. You need a taping machine for sure.
Excellent Craftsmanship!
Back before the beard!
That was awesome! Great fab skills, too. :)
Maddox... It's in the name!
What is the service life of the
"Reed valve assembly" ?
And when failure occurs what is the result?
Very impressive, especially how easy it is to start! Why did you install the spark plug into the conical part instead of the cylindrical one, right after the fuel injector? And how did you build the gasoline injector?
WOW, Great video !! Glad to see you back on CZcams. MORE - MORE - MORE. Happy New Year !!
Brilliant stuff. So very simple compared to a jet engine. Make it more economical and these things could power full size passenger planes.
Absolutely incredible!...
Nice work mate! Curious to know how the propane compares to gasoline for efficiency? Cheers.
I Love That Band Clamp; Did You Make It Or Buy It, I've Not Seen One Before!!
Don't forget to build an augmenter for it to put on the rear of it! It acts like an afterburner. The faster you go in speed, the faster you pick up speed.
🚀👍😁👌
What is an augmenter?
Open source rocketry, love it!
That's so bad ass !! Thanks for your video!!!!
Incredible. Can someone explain what determines the frequency (in this case 108Hz)? Is it basically the resonant frequency due to dimensions of the chamber / tailpipe? Or is it related to the speed at which the sparkplug is triggered?
Amazing work
You've earned a new sub
its amazing....it keeps the same air speed from the leaf blower...after you start it.
Bob, very well done explanation and video. Am I correct in in assuming that the spark plug is only used to initiate the combustion and after that the "retracting" flame front for each cycle is what ignites the fuel? Which seems amazing at 108 cycles per second that is a lot of reversing of flow direction.
look at the wrench set moving cuz of shock 11:15 so nice video mate!
wouldn't have known it was the same guy without the beard
It totally figures. Finally a video with descent tunes but I would rather hear him talk.
That is awesome 🤔 what kinda speed or how much power does it produce.
Hey Robert that was really cool man. I was fascinated with all the welding, could you help me out here, what setup do you have for welding and is it portable? I live in my van I want to build my own ladder, storage boxes, security latches etc etc. Thanks and hope to see you one day.
I like these, they spark my inner curiosity. 73
Questions: Is fuel consumption different using propane rather than gasoline? How long will this engine run continuously until there is material failure? Have you tried any kind of sound suppression method? Could this be modified to work underwater with a snorkel - like a kind of water cooled jet boat engine - and have it either push against water or exhaust it above the water?
That is awesome!
Beutifull !!!
Is it true that a bypass tube can rise the thrust up to 50% ?
I just used a stack off a semi truck. Stainless steel and strong. Works great, plans all over Google.
Good work ...you are artist
Nice job man I really like that I have to get your plans time to build an airplane
I agree! My heart is in the sky! I like carts, but nothing compares to pulling negative G's and being free in 4 dimensions! Chasing birds, chasing coyotes or just going up to see the earth from up high. 😁
What if you have a heat exchanger around it will it be better especially for the material?
I just wanted to know especially for the hot water.
Absolutely love your jet engines, what sort of thrust are you getting ?
Bad ass!! which one gasoline or propane; gives the best thrust per amount of fuel? does it have to be a straight pipe exhaust nozzle?
Oh I see, this video came before the apocalypse that drove him into the desert to become a rocket warlord.
Mad man!!!!! We love you 😍 ❤
Great video. Thanks.
Vc mexeu com os neurônios da civilização, deixados todos neuróticos em seguir vossas invenções extraordinárias parabéns 🎈. (Gravataí/RS Brasil) paz ☮️ e graça.
AW..you're the real rocket man!
This is rad! 👍
I'm seriously interested in putting 2 or 3 plus jets on a boat for the wow factor and shits and giggles. Do you think I can get into the 400 thrust pounds with 2 or 3 pulse jets with out getting too crazy on the size and expense
I love it!!
Your pulse jets with the flame inside are better than mine with the flame outside but then I knew that going in. Can you build one small enough to fit in one of my boats?
Hey! Thanks for the great video!
Towards the end of the video what is the outside location that you are testing at? It is beautiful!
I don't think he'll be answering your question anytime soon ... he failed at trying to launch himself into space to prove the Earth is flat
Your pulse-jets are boss!
Steady hands man!
Scary af. Best engine to be used on a missile!
Bob, I haven't heard from you yet. Assuming you are not interested in fabricating a 25 lb thrust engine then I will purchase one of your Cyclone engines and resize the project. I have a few questions. Typical reed valve life and availability of spares, typical gasoline fuel consumption at optimal throttle settings and recommended spark voltages(energy) and frequency. If high pressure fuel pumps are used, will smaller orifices improve mixing and performance? What is the delivery (fabrication) time?
How about we build a kit plane with your engine/s
How many hours do the one way valves survive? Do i need a whole new valve or just some replacement parts of the valve?
Good work
I have couple of questions for you if you could kindly help me: Can a pulsejet be ran vertically? Could diesel, ethanol , methane or a mixture of fuels work also?
Great job by the way hey how much cost all this pulsed jet finished?
Ever tried injecting water with the fuel to keep the temperature under control and use steam expansion for part of the thrust? Some of the big WW2 aircraft engines did that.
Cuts down on the temp alot?
Im just gonna assume i cant have or use this in Canada. Lol
Ill start saving for my lawyer now.
I think you can have it, but not mounted on a vehicle.
@@videorowtv5198 No officer, I don't have a jet on my car, I have a car on my jet!
I love these engines! I sent you an email about a joint project. Let me know
My email is down right now, will get back to you asap.
please collab
Agreed please do a collab i love both your channels
Apparently y'all haven't heard this dude died trying to launch himself into space....
🔴 What Is Islam? ⚠️
🔴 Islam is not just another religion.
🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)[4] 📚
🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.
All that noise and red hot metal means it would be PERFECT for a child's go kart. 😋
